Obvious Smash Bros similarities apart, why do the backgrounds look so dull? Btw i'm thinking Capcom might have allowed for Ryu or a couple of SF characters to appear in this game...maybe? Since Sony already made several deals for SF X T, it wouldn't surprise me

The scores aren't actually representative of which game is the best. I mean surely SSF IV is better than vanilla. "Ass Edition" as well. But yeah, with each version the score tends to lower, yet it doesnt mean its worse. Same goes for UMVC3 compared to MVC3

It depends on how "all-new" the game really is. I mean they could just take TAG 2 and re-design parts of it for T X SF and, of course, add things that will make it more SF friendly as well, not unlike how Capcom designed SF X T using the SF IV series engine as base
