Ricky Ortiz: I personally do NOT like 2v2. I don’t like to depend on a partner. I never been one for team tourneys in general
But even if gems are allowed, a bunch of them will have to be banned and the amount of money that would need to be spent on the useable gems on each machine just isn't worth it imo.especially for such a boring game where the best button in the game is St.jab & boost switch combos literally makes cross arts/cross assault/Pandora mode completely useless.
Capcom blames fighting game market saturation for Street Fighter X Tekken's sluggish sales
Its sad cuz balance issues aside,if we were able to unlock those chars thru playing the game and the game had no gems it would've been received a lot better.
Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz comment on recent nerfs to Rufus' dive kick in Street Fighter X Tekken
Btw if a crossup divekick nets Rufus every combo option then a blocked crossup divekick SHOULD be punishable with a full combo! That's called balance.true risk vs reward.opposed to what it was before *coughderpkickcough*
Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz comment on recent nerfs to Rufus' dive kick in Street Fighter X Tekken
What??? Rufus players have to actually use their brains now? Crazy. Btw I love the logic of "if the opponent can block a crossup divekick that is now visible & clear and punish u for it its like divekick isn't even there". Even Ricky himself said its not that bad.just aim the divekick below the waist and stop bitching.
On-disc DLC: Capcom re-evaluating how game content is delivered in the future
Gammabolt - but where ppl are getting short changed is when capcom says the game is built & balanced around gems, then says u have to pay for them (most of which are the good ones).pay to win is wrong.period. oh and having chars as Dlc can be considered in that category (pay to win) as well.
On-disc DLC: Capcom re-evaluating how game content is delivered in the future
On disc Dlc or not doesn't matter.its this practice of fragmenting a game then selling it at full price. Also the selling of things that are quintessential to the game(chars, weapons, true endings etc) as Dlc. perfect example would be prototype 2 where in the original prototype their was a powerup called armor mode that u earned thru playing the game is now paid Dlc in part 2.or the fiasco with asuras wrath where the true ending ...

#15 & 51 pretty much sum up my feelings on this subject. As for what can be considered a game worth $60 mvc2 & cvs2 immediately come to mind.both had loads of chars, chars u unlocked urself thru playing the game and a majority of all the default Fg modes.whereas a 100% sfxtk has a crap load of Dlc priced at more than double the initial cost of the core game

Sven explains Capcom USA's role, mentions where community feedback is voiced, elaborates on why MvC2 was released for iOS
Sven forgot to mention "selling games that are only 75% complete then charge more than double the initial asking price for the last 35%" and "make games that charge $ for the true ending"
Yoshinori Ono left Street Fighter's R&D team, still supporting franchise - Ryota Niitsuma likely attending EVO
#4 - I second that one.
