Skullgirls 2.0, Mike Z demos new patched version of the game, discusses changes
Guys, mk and lk hornet will still have invincibility, they'll just be techable knockdowns meaning you have to combo off them quicker, a la UMVC3 Haggar. I think removing HK's invincibility only was a good call, it was definitely too strong. I'm just curious how this affects Parasoul, she's now the only one with a completely derpy assist not to mention dem mixups, but her damage is probably shot to hell.

No updates to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 planned, team has moved on to new things - Live Ask Capcom session
Yeah, I agree with the guys saying the game doesn't need more content, it's got a lot as is. I just wish the team stuck around to do some balance changes. Unless I'm forgetting some, MvC3 has basically received a total of 3 balance changes outside of infinite removal. 2 of them were for a single character(Sent and PW) and the other one was vanilla to Ultimate.

#2: Yeah, really. Even without the rest of the team, switching it back to his day one form couldn't be THAT hard. He wasn't even super broken then or anything, Capcom just hates invincible assists for some reason.

@79: Fair enough, it was more or less personal experience. Chuns have never been a threat for me. GR's got dat chain, Iron Fist has easy damage and defense chi, Hsien-Ko's got unpredictability and gold assist, Tron's got good damage, health, and mobility, and her j.S = free combo. I would've said Shuma, but he's got that fullscreen beam assist and a little weirdness like Hsien-Ko. Chun's got... I dunno... speed? Average damage if you've ...

@59: Yeah, that's what I'm saying though. Character death combos aren't that special. Most of the cast just have them, Wright needs a 20 second mode for his. Up-backing + predicting throws = Wright will never land a hit. Period. If he never lands a hit, you basically just have chip and post-Objection combo as damage. I'll give you the assist, though. Combined with crossups, it could be a decent mixup tool. But even then, ...

@40: He's pretty bad though. Turnabout's damage isn't much to write home about, his speed is still not good, his normals are garbage outside of the finger, and his mixups are very limited. Maya's neat and all, but she gets beat. Either by brute force or grabs. Even if you get a hit through her, it's not gonna hurt. I think the assist nerf was uncalled for, and it's a shame Capcom threw this game ...

@16: Sums it up basically. Definitely a part of why critics be hatin' on Skullgirls.
Critic review roundup of recent major fighting game releases
Reviews really can't be trusted for fighting games. I especially don't get why HDR is so high other than nostalgic value and the fact that it's a rehash of a historic fighter. Compared to modern games, it's REALLY not that great.
