Capcom wants to see reaction to DLC characters in SFxT before deciding on adding more - Ono won't return as Street Fighter producer for 'a while'
I don't think Capcom knew people would even care that some of the content was on the disc already. If it was going to be DLC, it shouldn't be free. It wasn't free to pay the developers to make it. However, just making it regular DLC would've been a lot better. 12 characters for $20 is nothing in regards to actual bang for buck.
Capcom intends to speed up development times of flagship franchises, looking to be top provider of digital content
I wouldn't be so fixated on speeding up the development cycle. I'd be fixated on fully testing software before releasing, so the people who purchased it could at least enjoy it. If you are going to bring new people on, bring them on to help you make GOOD games. Not increasing the size of your pockets.
Harada says timing for Street Fighter X Tekken's release wasn't good, unlucky - thinks market is saturated, talks TTT2 features
The fps market is dominated by one game....and that's CoD, lol. Other games try to copy it, just because of how successful it is. So CoD can release itself whenever it wants and it will still sell. SF on the other hand competes with a handful of good fighters and the market is much smaller. SF isn't dominating the market like CoD is either.
Street Fighter X Tekken Patch 1.04 notes by Desk
CC is doing a pretty good job on these bugs. Keep it up and the game will be worth playing.
Capcom blames fighting game market saturation for Street Fighter X Tekken's sluggish sales
SF x T was a dream cross-over....but the design decisions (among the many issues plaguing multi-player) have put people off. Making retarded gems that make it so you can't mix people up...lol, it's as if Capcom is trying to sabotage their own title.
Feedback from the community being pursued for Street Fighter X Tekken, sent to producer
Pandora should be longer by default. Why should we have to use a gem to extend...what should be a useful comeback mechanic anyway? I hope they listen.
Justin Wong: In my opinion Street Fighter 4 will be the biggest game for the future
SF is the flagship game at Evo and no game gets the crowd as hype as SF does.... It brought in a huge casual market and more or less, Capcom fighting game scene (there were other fighters out there, but they weren't as big as SF for sure). SF is simple for beginners, and has depth for people who are growing their skill. The depth and simplicity of it allows anyone to enjoy the game. ...
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 replays featuring OTinhoso, HJMxp, Playerjun52 and more
Dan knew how to read Fuerte and which buttons to press....mashers mash out of desperation. Reading your opponent and hitting the right buttons is skillful. He didn't get 5K PP blindly mashing and neither will anyone else.
Daigo using Ryu at Evo 2012, Willpower to Keep Winning sold 28,000 copies
Ryu is not OP, he is well rounded and equipped to deal with any situation (although some are very hard). Guile, Dhalsim, Fei Long, and Yun are easily not in his favor. Ryu is effective is the best way to put it. Someone bad or good can use him, but to get the most out of him you need to be at your best.
Four titans give thoughts on fighting games - Seth Killian, Yosuke Hayashi, Mike Z and Maximilian: Fighting Game Symposium part 1
New players really need to be taught decision making in fighting games. How to counter opponents, etc. Making the right guesses and predicting your opponent are big parts of fighting games everywhere.
