I don't have Adblock (because I know Ads are important), but I do have installed the DoNotTrackMe FireFox plugin. It basically blocks all tracking requests, so my information isn't used in the background without me otherwise finding out. I mention this because, Eventhubs, you should have tracking in mind when choosing ads, as being privacy-friendly would make your arguments more convincing. Because visible ads aren't the only thing Adblock denies, but also Web bugs, tracking ...
