So many good characters left to choose from with unique playstyles, seems like it'd be a waste to include 2nd versions of characters or clones of already existing characters.

Gotta hand it to Daigo, he plays a mean Guile. Was almost positive he'd pick Ryu for the fight. Him, Wong, and Valle all played great though. Very close matches.

I fail to see how Dudley being able to combo for 450 damage somehow puts him in the same class as Vanilla SF4 Sagat, who could combo for 600 damage and had the best projectile in the game. Dudley's looking damn good but he's not on that level.
