Ricky Ortiz: I personally do NOT like 2v2. I don’t like to depend on a partner. I never been one for team tourneys in general
Played both single player and team games at a professional level in Quake 3. (RA3, CPMA, Tournament, ect.) 1v1 and teams show completely different skill sets. A team game requires more situational awareness and better on the fly decision making. A 1v1 match requires better mind games, and better fundamentals. Ricky Ortiz shows just how self centered a lot of the FGC is. Honestly, I've come from a background of some of the biggest egos ...
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Michelle, Angel, Ancient Ogre and Kunimitsu gameplay trailer
Kunimitsu looks awesome, they totally revamped her to make her more original than when she first appeared.
Realistic fighting game related artwork by SpineBender featuring Blanka, Sagat, Mike Haggar and more
First three are better than the last 5 for sure. But they are all amazing in their own way. Haggar is prob the best though.
Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz comment on recent nerfs to Rufus' dive kick in Street Fighter X Tekken
Wong is heavily crying, here is the only 3F options in the game: Ryu, Ken, Akuma (SRKs) Chun c.lk c.lp , Jin c.LP, Cammy c.LK c.lp everyone else can ONLY punish with a raw super. Almost every character with a 3F jab it is only on far standing jab (Cammy, Raven, Chun Li, Akuma, Ibuki, Ryu, Asuka, Nina that's it for 3F jabs) Let's assume the BEST possible conditions to punish Rufus: Everyone has 2bars ...
Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz comment on recent nerfs to Rufus' dive kick in Street Fighter X Tekken
I told Ricky that he was ignoring the fact Rufus is safe on every special and most normals, and has one of the best juggle/corner carry abilities in the game along with some of the highest juggle damage. Only Raven doing a c.HP loop and Hugo can compare damage wise. I think they over nerfed the dive kick, but I also think Ricky and Wong are just crying because they don't want to explore all ...
Infinite removal, balance adjustments patch out for Street Fighter X Tekken
Rufus' dive kick pressure was too good because not only was he majorly rewarded if he did hit (making you not want to press buttons) since the move was +16F on hit which allowed him to literally perform ANY action and have it combo, even a raw super or cross art. In SF4 the move is +7 on block, in SFxT it was +5. Now it is -4F on block and has a height restriction. ...
Capcom blames fighting game market saturation for Street Fighter X Tekken's sluggish sales
SHIPPED 1.4 million. NOT SOLD RETAIL OUTLETS REQUESTED A TOTAL OF 1.4 MILLION UNITS TO BE SOLD, THAT IS NOT HOW MANY ACTUALLY SOLD TO CONSUMERS! ARRRGH Stop inflating/misleading!
Capcom aware of Street Fighter X Tekken PC issues, working on first patch - more updates coming
According to Svensson weeks before the PC release. SFxT on pc would have all of the DLC up to the current console release as well as a patch on day 1 or near day 1. Once again they lie to us.
Capcom is considering drastic changes to Street Fighter X Tekken, talks Darkstalkers and SF4
"Ayano: Thanks to everyone who wrote in, but this will be the last time the blog is used in this method of correspondence. I would like to use it for a different purpose. Please tune in next week! " Bad choice. It's a perfect venue to show you are listening to fans. However not surprised Capcom making a bad choice.
Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 roundup: new Seth combos, Hakan Oil Dive setups, Ibuki punishes and more
I find it interesting that those combos use a ton of meter, but Seth actually has some of the highest damage/stun combos that use no meter at all. More than Cody, more than Fei Long, and far easier to land (no one frame links required for 400+dmg 700stun. Cody requires 2 back to back 1F links to match that damage output.)
