Re-release of PS2 version of Capcom vs. SNK 2 is all that's likely for the foreseeable future
Call me newfangled, but I prefer the online option nowadays in fighting games as the golden standard for multiplayer. As my brothers and an increasing number of my friends have grown sick and tired of fighting games in general, I pretty much have to fight strange randoms online to get my fix. Otherwise, I don't really need any cosmetic touchups (seriously, can you do an HD embellishment of Morrigan's supremely nasty sprite?).

Excellent feature. Now I can match up against other fighting game enthusiasts without having to physically go search for someone who doesn't completely suck at fighting games. But yeah, I do believe some of you have greatly embellished your skill levels, but we'll see.

Excellent, about time they're getting their way into the limelight. Now all I need is Angel, Michelle, Kunimitsu, and Ancient Ogre for us cheapa$$ SOBs who didn't preorder TTT2.
