@443 And that is the whole problem. There's such a vocal fanbase that wants to SEE new characters... but NOT PLAY THEM. And they keep bashing and shooting down all the popular picks. But once the game is actually released, they all flock to Wolverine/Akuma/Phoenix teams, or whatever is top tier. They just want new characters to satisfy some sort of underdog fetish.

@427 Dat would be so totally cool man. No really, there is absolutely no point in bringing in "innovative" characters if they don't get picked at all past day 1. They're just wasting slots. At least fanservice picks like Megaman and Ken will always be picked by casuals. Meanwhile, innovative choices like Viewtiful joe gets completely forgotten by both crowds. I'm surprised there are actually a few people still building teams around Arthur. More power ...
