Contribute Street Fighter 5 tips and combos and win $250 USD of gaming goodies from EventHubs

Our latest contest is a giveaway for submitting helpful advice to our Street Fighter 5 moves database.

To win, all you need to do is leave helpful tips and combos for any of the characters in Street Fighter 5. Here's an example I wrote for Rose's Soul Spiral in USF4.

Again, the concept is very simple, just leave advice on how to play SF5. We'll choose three people who submit the best advice — and the more you submit — the better your odds of winning.

Three different users will win $250 USD apiece in gaming goodies from Amazon, (it's fine if shipping + tax costs more). You could pick a brand new Mad Catz joystick, a pad, a bunch of new games, or any other gaming items of your choosing that come out to $250 USD before tax and shipping.

Alex joins Street Fighter 5 in March, PS4 version of Street Fighter 5 will support PS3 controllers and sticks

Today, we contacted Capcom regarding rumors going around about Street Fighter 5, its DLC plans, and whether PS3 controllers would be compatible with the upcoming PS4 game.

Just recently, Capcom got back to us with the following quote:

We can confirm that Alex will be the first DLC character and will be available in March and the final version of Street Fighter V (PS4) will be compatible with PS3 controllers.

The current theory seems to be that since Alex is the leftmost character of the silhouettes Capcom showed us at Capcom Cup back in December (in case you've missed these, you can find them after the jump), that the release order after him would be Guile, Balrog, Ibuki, Juri and then finally Urien, but what do you think? Let us know in the comments.

Street Fighter 5 cinematic story trailer released, final beta taking place on January 30th

Capcom has just revealed the first ever details on Street Fighter 5's story mode.

At launch, each character's story will be told with cut scenes -- like the ones seen in the beta's tutorial mode -- illustrated by renowned Japanese artist, Bengus. These story arcs will explain the characters' roles in the game, provide important background information about them, and their relationships with other fighters.

Street Fighter 5 associate producer, Peter "Combofiend" Rosas, noted over on Capcom Unity that this story mode will shed more light on who Necalli is and what his motives are, what exactly happened to Nash after his death in the Street Fighter Alpha series, what Ryu's latest journey entails, and more.

In June 2016, however, fans will receive a cinematic story mode expansion that features fully rendered in-game cut-scenes and takes place between Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 3.

"For the first time in franchise history, we are creating a cinematic story experience that takes players deep into the Street Fighter action and mythology through beautifully rendered cut-scenes," Combofiend says.
