Character usage statistics from the last year of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 major tournaments - taken from top 8 and 16

Character usage statistics from the last year of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 major tournaments - taken from top 8 and 16 After generating the character usage stats for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012, we here at EventHubs decided to give you a look at similar stats for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

These numbers were compiled using results from most of the major events that took place in the past 12 months in order to find out which characters were used most frequently. Today we have generated the statistics for each character in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, arranged from most to least used.

The numbers next to the characters' names indicate the accumulative amount of times they appeared in top 8 and 16 (when available) through out all of the majors covered here on the site from May 2012 - May 2013.

Note: Some of these characters didn't necessarily place in top 16 for a given tournament but had a player use them along the way. Additionally, these numbers include players that have showed up to multiple events and competed. (i.e. The numbers for Morrigan are high due to AGE|NYChris G making top 8 or 16 in many events through out the year).

To get you started we have the top characters listed below and you can hit the jump to see where the rest of the roster came in.

Dr. Doom - 153
Vergil - 113

Updated: Tekken Revolution trailer and details, free-to-play game revealed exclusively for PlayStation 3

Updated: An official 2+ minute trailer has been added into this story, which shows more gameplay footage, and offers a glimpse at some kind of new leveling up system, which lets you spend skill points to increase your character's attributes. Also, details about how the game works have been noted below.

A new, free-to-play Tekken game entitled "Tekken Revolution" was announced today, and it will be exclusive to PlayStation 3 consoles. The release date is set for June 11, 2013, here's the official reveal trailer.

Crafted by NAMCO BANDAI Games' internal TEKKEN development team, TEKKEN REVOLUTION provides fighting game fans and newcomers alike the hard-hitting gameplay of the famed franchise.

Choose from an initial cast of eight iconic TEKKEN characters to train and battle against AI opponents in Arcade Mode or take on fearsome human rivals spanning the globe through online Ranked and Player Matches.

The game also features new bone-crunching Special Arts and Critical Arts moves designed to help newcomers deliver hard-hitting attacks and advanced players to employ new strategies with their favorite fighters.

For the first time in TEKKEN history players will be able to level-up their characters, increasing three key attributes; Strength, Endurance and Vigor, to create a combatant tuned to individual play styles. Develop a defensive tank character with high HP to withstand knockout blows while offense focused players can create a damage-inflicting character with low health but high critical hit rates to devastate opponents with a flurry of attacks.

Katsuhiro Harada reported 'missing' for a week, confirmed okay by reliable source and frequent Steam account activity

Katsuhiro Harada reported 'missing' for a week, confirmed okay by reliable source and frequent Steam account activity It was recently reported that Namco Bandai's own Katsuhiro Harada appeared to have gone missing after engaging in a heated dispute during a meeting. Harada-san was overheard shouting at someone, then proceeded to storm out and went off the grid, becoming unreachable for some time.

The Tekken Project support team sent out a message early yesterday via Harada's Twitter account stating that the Tekken Producer seemed to have gone missing for nearly a week. He hadn't shown up at his office and the team, among many others, began to worry.

*This is TEKKEN Project support team* Mr.Harada has been missing from office since a week ago. We are still searching for him. Thanks.

The support team followed up with another Tweet this morning stating that Mr. Harada's Steam account had been quite active lately leading to some reassurance of his well being.

There appear to be some news articles worrying for Harada-san's safety. However, we were able to confirm he has been logged into Steam daily, so we believe he is OK, but just has not shown up for work.

It has since been confirmed by a reliable source that Katsuhiro Harada is most certainly okay and fans needn't worry.

Justin Wong's Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tier list - complete version

Justin Wong's Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tier list - complete version We've posted EG|Justin Wong's entire tier list for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Before, only the Capcom cast was available, but this adds the Marvel side into the mix.

Unlike more traditional tier lists, Justin takes things a few steps further, offering pros and cons for each fighter in addition to a letter grade. He also discusses partners and which positions on a team he feels each fighter is strong at. Here's a little blurb to get you started.

Hey guys, this time this tier list will consist of the cast in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Now before I start I just want to say this is my opinion on all these characters and anyone can disagree or agree.

In the partner section, the people listed there can be an assist that would be helpful or they can use the assist to help their game. For example: Wolverine loves Tatsu assist but Akuma loves Dr. Doom assist. You might see a lot of Doctor Dooms, Vergils in those sections, just a heads up. =p

I will have a grade system running from S+, S, S-, A+, A, A- B+, B, B-, C+ C, C- and D with S+ being highest and D being lowest.

You can find a full archive of EG|Justin Wong's columns here on EventHubs, and you can view his Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 tier list that was posted a little ways back.

In the future, Justin will be doing a tier list for Street Fighter X Tekken v2013, so stay tuned to the front page for updates.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 characters now selectable in EventHubs profiles - Stat section previews incoming

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 characters now selectable in EventHubs profiles - Stat section previews incoming Thanks in part to the hard work of JusticeBFBHCBHS, we've added the ability to add your Marvel vs. Capcom 2 teams to your EventHubs profile.

As a nice side effect, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will be included in our new stats section we're rolling out, which you can find a preview of here. In the very near future, we'll be posting a couple of additional previews of the new game sections, which will show stats for UMvC3, Injustice, SFxT and SSF4 AE v2012, so you can view things like the character usage, game popularity and quite a bit more.

We're still hard at work on getting the new stats section ready, but we're pushing forward to make this a pretty incredible and fairly revolutionary part of EventHubs. Here's a quick feature run down of some of the things to expect.

• A sortable table showing the most used characters in nearly every major game currently played in the FGC, from UMvC3 to Guilty Gear XX ACP, and many stops in between.

• For team games: The most popular point, middle (where applicable) and anchor characters. This is a complete list of the entire roster, so you can also see who's the least popular as well, for those positions.

• Another feature for team games is the most popular squads. For example, Wolverine, Dr. Doom, Vergil is the most popular team among EventHubs users for UMvc3, followed by Zero, Dante, Vergil. When our stats section launches, though, you'll be able to find an expanded list — for all team games, not just UMvC3.

Scorpion confirmed as playable in Injustice: Gods Among Us - official reveal trailer, quick hint at Martian Manhunter

WBGamesUK has uploaded the official reveal trailer for Mortal Kombat's Scorpion in Injustice: Gods Among Us. To start off the video, Ed Boon and DC Comics' artist Jim Lee talk a bit about the MK ninja's character design. Lee has designed some new threads for Scorpion, in order for him to better fit in the Injustice universe.

The trailer features a battle against Superman as he wears his Blackest Nights zombie skin and shows off a lot of what Scorpion can do. Scorpion will be the third DLC character announced so far for Injustice: Gods Among Us and will cost 400 Microsoft Points / $4.99 USD, much like his predecessors, Lobo and Batgirl.

At the very end of the trailer above we get a quick glimpse of Martian Manhunter. Considering MMH's appearance in a reveal video for Scorpion is quite out of place, this is more than likely a hint at his inclusion to the Injustice roster.
