Archived tiers: P4A index

Keep in mind, when a new tier section launches the votes/results can be pretty wild, but after a few days things tend to normalize fairly quickly.

We also have a new stats page for P4AU, which means you can add the characters you play into your profile, and look up what other EHubs' members have entered as well.

Famitsu magazine has revealed Margaret as a playable option in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The new fighter, known for being one of the members of the Velvet Room in the RPG, will be added as DLC.

At this time, no screenshots or discussion of her play style have been revealed. However, she will use Cu Chlainn, Ardha, and Yoshitsune as her Personas.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax launches this Fall in North America for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Rumour: Margaret may be a DLC character in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Did Atlus accidentally leak the identity of a third planned DLC character for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, after Adachi and Marie?

Now that we're just a couple of weeks away from the Japanese release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for the PS3 and X360, Arc System Works is holding a series of game trial events across several prefectures in Japan for gamers to go hands-on with the console-exclusive characters, beginning with Tokyo's Shinjuku district this weekend.

Attendees to these Persona 4 Arena Ultimax trial events get to walk away with a complimentary A4-size plastic folder (called a "clear file" in Japan) with the game's cover art emblazoned on one side.

And according to one eagle-eyed NeoGAF user, it seems like the cover art featured on this piece of swag (images 1 to 3 below) is slightly different than the official box art for the game (4th image below).

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma's (arcade) Autumn update will introduce balance changes; 1st screenshots of Celica, Lambda-11, and Marie from P4AU

Now that the new issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine has officially gone on sale at newsstands in Japan today, Famitsu.com has finally published the first screenshots of Celica A. Mercury and Lambda-11 in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, as well as Marie who will be a post-launch DLC character for the console versions of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

We've already covered most of the information mentioned in the text of these Famitsu.com articles -- but there were a few additional interesting tidbits not covered in the early reports.

For starters, it was mentioned in Famitsu.com's BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma article that the Autumn "version up" update for BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma (arcade) will "not only introduce balance changes, but also two new characters". Although most of us expected the new update to contain balance changes, it's always good to hear confirmation on that.

Marie from Persona 4 Golden is a post-launch DLC character for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Marie, the new major character introduced in Persona 4 Golden (PS Vita), will be making her way into the PS3 and X360 versions of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax as a post-launch DLC, the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly magazine is revealing on Thursday.

In combat, Marie will fight with her persona, Kaguya, as well as various items that she can pull out from her bag. She's said to excel at ranged attacks as well as feints in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

Images of Marie in P4AU should come later this week, once Famitsu magazine is out on newsstands. In the meantime, you can find out more about Marie's personality (and why she's nicknamed the "Hollow Forest Tsundere Poet") in the recently-aired first episode of Persona 4 Golden the Animation, embedded below.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will not be region-locked, according to Atlus; check out the game's pre-order goodies and new trailer here!

In a press release sent out by Atlus this morning the company announced that their upcoming 2D fighter, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, will not be region-locked. This means that players from other regions will be able to import the game from North America when it is released this Fall.

Since the European version of the original Persona 4 Arena was delayed several months after it dropped in the US, fans have been wondering if history may repeat itself. Siliconera reached out to the company, asking if European players would also be able to import the upcoming update. An Atlus representative responded, simply stating, "I believe so."

That's not all the good news for Persona fans, however. Those who pre-order the game, or get their hands on a first print, will receive a collectible Teddie bop bag and Set #1 of the Persona Tarot cards.

Rise Kujikawa's Awakened Super is a rhythm game, Ken Amada and Koromaru has separate life gauges; Persona 4 Arena Ultimax demoed on UltraChen TV

Atlus USA's Yu Namba stopped by UltraChen TV earlier this week to show off the E3 build of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

The E3 build had playable two-out-of-three of the game's console-exclusive characters: Rise Kujikawa, and Ken Amada and Koromaru (the third playable character being Adachi from Persona 4).

Unfortunately, Namba could not go into detail what Ken Amada and Koromaru's moveset was like. But he did run through pretty much all of Rise Kujikawa's moves -- including her rhythm-game Awakened Super, and her Instant Kill -- and played two vs. CPU battles against Ken and Koromaru.

On the stream, he also ran through the move sets for Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori, explain the new mechanics added in this sequel, and gave answers to some questions from UltraChen TV viewers.
