Latest Dead or Alive 5 patch enables boob jiggling via DualShock controller

Dead of Alive 5's game director, Yohei Shimbori, once said that Tecmo Koei planned for their latest game to have a more mature look, but later relented due to fan demand to honor the series' past.

Taking this a step further in the 1.03A release for the PlayStation 3, fans discovered that you could manipulate the female character's breasts by shaking the DualShock controller. The video below shows how it's done.

Justin Wong updates community on his Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown challenge from Sega

Justin Wong updates community on his Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown challenge from Sega Evil Geniuses' Justin Wong updated everyone on the status of his Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown challenge that Sega offered him over on Sega's Blog. If you missed it, Sega challenged Justin Wong to participate in their Sega Cup 2013 Virtua Fighter tournament on April 20th.

This is what he had to say.

I started playing Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown last week and can honestly say it has been a lot of fun so far. I’m still learning about the game but here [after the jump] is a stream of me practicing with some friends. It’s roughly 4 hours of me learning Jacky combos, chatting with other VF5 FS players, and facing off against Floe, another amazing fighting game player.

To prepare for the Sega Cup on April 20th I will also be training with some SoCal VF players from time to time and playing online matches with players from across the country. As you can see, I decided to start playing as Jacky. I like his fighting style and was told he is a good character to start with, but I also like that he is strong enough to compete at the highest levels. I have seen top players like Denkai use him successfully so it seemed like a strategic choice for me.

While I don’t expect to win the Sega Cup, I’m excited at the challenge and I hope that by doing my best I can show you guys that I am committed to being accepted in your community.

Super Smash Land makes Super Smash Brothers into original Gameboy game

If you ever wondered what your favorite Super Smash Brothers characters would look and play like on the original Gameboy, look no further. Super Smash Land is a free, fan made PC game developed by Dan Fornace, that takes the Super Smash Brothers formula and puts it into the style of an original Gameboy game.

Some of Nintendo's most well known characters are playable including Mario, Link, Pikachu, Kirby and there is even an appearance by Capcom's own, Mega Man.

Although this project was released some time ago, this is still quite the awesome achievement. You can snag a free download of this game for PC on the Super Smash Land website.

For those unfamiliar with the characters, Will Zeppeli and Jonathan Joestar are from Part 1 of the JJBA series and use the power of the Ripple to fight opponents. Johnny Joestar is from Part 7 and uses rotating fingernails like a pistol gun to attack enemies. His truly bizarre power evolves as the series goes on and it's likely we'll be seeing this evolution in-game.

My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic receives cease and desist from Hasbro

My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic receives cease and desist from Hasbro In a move that was anticipated yet still came as a surprise, developers of Fighting is Magic received a C&D from Hasbro, the owners of the My Little Pony franchise. This cease and desist effectively halts all work on the fighting game that was to have a booth at the indie showcase at EVO 2013.

You can read the full statement from the developers below. Though there are other avenues the developers can take with other original fighting game titles, it appears that losing access to the MLP characters may have put an end to their efforts forever.

Hello, everyone.

We have what for most will be bad news, for us are terrible news, and for a selected few might actually be good news.

We have received a C&D letter from Hasbro's Legal representatives, asking us to cease game development, remove any materials that might contain My Little Pony characters, names, locations or related elements from the sites we control (Our site, our youtube, our twitch), and "cease any further use of [their] MY LITTLE PONY property".

Options have been considered, lawyers have been contacted, and resources have been (mostly) exhausted.

We have attempted negotiating with Hasbro for the continued use of the property in our non-profit, voluntary project, but so far we haven't received an answer. As such, we're complying with the contents of the C&D letter until we receive answer from their PR and/or Legal departments.

We also want to inform the general public of the final and irrevocable resignation of James Workman (Elosande) from the Mane6 DevTeam, effective February 6, 2013, as well as reminding of the final and irrevocable resignation of Prominence, effective January 30, 2012. The Mane6 DevTeam no longer represents their interest, nor do they represent ours.

We'll keep everyone posted as the situation evolves, but be aware we might not be able to respond to comments and questions due to the delicate nature of the situation.
Thanks for following our project so far.
