Street Fighter X Tekken has a long road ahead of it as far as official support goes, Capcom's Christian Svensson recently explained on the Unity Boards, while also repeating the fact that this will be the only disc only edition of the title.
Svensson went on to explain why Capcom doesn't often create demos for their fighting games and talk briefly about the 3DS version of Super Street Fighter 4. Mikeeb also jumps in to explain that you do not need a memory card for the PS Vita version of UMvC3. Hit the jump to view everything.
Could you please tell us about DLC characters now in SFxT? Is there going to be another disc version of the game? — K
Svensson: There will never be another disc only edition of Street Fighter X Tekken.
Details on future DLC will come over time. There is a very long term plan for support on the game.
Why don't you make demos for Capcom fighting games? — Sir Hunter
Svensson: There are multiple reasons however the most basic is that demos take time and money away from the main development of the game and in our research, demos of fighting games tend to not provide a return on that investment.
Demos in general, in any genre, are a crap shoot. No demo is usually better than an average demo. They can cost a developer sales if that experience isn't perfect.

It may come as a surprise to those who don't know his history that LB|ChrisGNY actually started out playing Smash Bros. Well regarded in the fighting game community as one of the top players, Chris spoke with Evil Geniuses about his favorite game at the moment, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and some of the unique teams he's been running as of late, among other subjects.
This is a pretty solid write up, covering quite a few bases, here's a snip to get you going.
CGAJ: Switching gears to Marvel, you have two teams that have really caught my attention recently. First is your Tron/Ghost Rider/Chris team. Talk about the inception of that team first.
Chris G: The motive of the team was that I wanted to bring back a dead character – Tron. A lot of people also wanted me to play as Chris – I really don’t know why, haha. After I decided to put those two together, I needed a good OTG assist, and Ghost Rider’s Hellfire just seemed to fit right. Honestly though, it’s really not fair what they did to Tron. She’s just a horrible character now. Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun coming up with the stuff I did for that team.
CGAJ: So let’s talk about the team that’s been getting a lot of attention lately – Morrigan/Akuma/Doom. Talk about where that concept came from and how do you compare your Morrigan play from someone like Dieminion?
Chris G: I actually had the original Morrigan in vanilla MvC3. I had a Morrigan/Ammy/Phoenix team, and at Summer Jam, I teamed up with two other people using that team. I managed to pull off an OCV with just Morrigan, and she wasn’t even that good yet. So when Ultimate came out, she just became an actual good character. From there, it was really just a no-brainer. I just needed some time to get her playing the way I want to.
Morrigan/Doom’s synergy should be obvious. Projectile spam with Morrigan combined with Hidden Missiles is really good. When people see Doom out, they normally want to go after him, pop X-Factor and kill him off right away. That’s where Akuma comes in. When they expect a Doom to come out, I can just call out a tatsu and get them off me to get back and be lame again. Plus Akuma/Doom also has great synergy where I can use the block stun from Hidden Missiles to get them guessing an overhead or a sweep.
