Fanatiq: 'People were disappointed in me for playing League of Legends', speaks out about the difficulties in juggling multiple genres as a top player

Fanatiq: 'People were disappointed in me for playing League of Legends', speaks out about the difficulties in juggling multiple genres as a top player Gamasutra posted an article dealing with the massive E-Sports scene currently present in League of Legends, and about players from different genres switching over to the game. A notable example is Marn, known originally as a fighting game player, who has found great success in League of Legends where he manages his own team "Team MRN", which features ClakeyD, another renowned fighting game player.

In the article, they remark that while many players have switched over to League of Legends from other genres, like fighting games, the players themselves are reluctant to talk about it due to the heavy tension that currently lingers between the different genres. It is even mentioned that some players that were spoken to in relation to this article refused to be named, since they hadn't "gone public" about playing League of Legends yet, in fear of the potential scorn they might face from their fanbase as well as their peers.

In the midst of this, high-level Marvel vs. Capcom player Fanatiq, who has recently been playing League of Legends regularly, decided to speak out regarding the troubles that follow with trying to transition into a new genre when you're already famous for something different.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 character usage statistics for Top 8 of Road to EVO tournaments

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 character usage statistics for Top 8 of Road to EVO tournaments The other day we had a writeup concerning some statistics from the ever-so-amazing Glenn at Get Your Tournament. This time, the statistics concern the usage of various characters in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. More specifically, how often they appear in the Top 8 of Road to EVO tournaments.

These statistics cover 75 matches that were in the Top 8 of a Road to EVO tournament, and thus does not cover all of the Top 8 brackets for various reasons, like some tournaments not having the entire Top 8 available for streaming, with some only showing the finals and some only showing the Top 4. This tracks a character appearing in a match, not a round, meaning that the total amount of times a character can theoretically show up in the list is 150.

Updated: Closer look and glitch explanation, Crazy bug in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 brings two characters on the same team in at once

Updated: Pen7Ninja put together a video that further explores the properties of the glitch. In it, we learn that the player controls both characters at once and that they can stay on the screen forever as long as they don't idle on the ground for too long.

The video gives a closer look at the glitch and explains some of the other properties it retains.

YouTube user tyupazamurai2 uploaded footage of a very interesting Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 glitch. After hitting a knocked out opponent with a snap back, the other two characters on the team jump in to battle at the same time.

Some are speculating that this could be a result of the K.O. and the snapback. The game reads that the first character has fallen and sends in the next. Choosing to bring in third character with the snapback may cause the game to become confused and send in both instead.

At this point, the true reasoning behind this glitch is not confirmed but it sure makes for some very interesting footage. What do you think may be going on here? Let us know below.
