Moons vs. RayRay FT10 from East Coast Throwdown, battle for the Universe championship belt

On the sidestream handled by Deadly Bison, TA|Moons and MH|RayRay squared off in a first to ten match to decide who was worthy of the Universe Championship belt. We are not kidding — there's an actual belt.

Thankfully, this event will not get lost as a mere memory, as Deadly Bison has been kind enough to upload it to the deadlybison YouTube channel.

Here's the match, with commentary by John Golba and Megaman Steve. During the set, TA|Moons plays a team of Nova, M.O.D.O.K. and Amaterasu while MH|RayRay plays a team of Magneto, Dr. Doom and Sentinel.

Was it satisfactory? Was it legendary enough for the title of "Master of the Universe"? Or would you like to see another challenger come to claim the belt? Let us know in the comments.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Combo Roundup featuring Nemesis, Wesker, Deadpool and Phoenix

We have some new combo videos from Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 featuring some slightly uncommon picks. While Wesker didn't use to be uncommon, he isn't seen much nowadays, and I think it would be hard to make an argument that Nemesis and Deadpool show up often in tournaments. As for Phoenix, we have a quick 100% combo against Thor with her — And no, while it does spend as much meter, that's not Dark Phoenix.

We'll start you off with the Nemesis combo video, courtesy of residentevilrulz.

Justin Wong's Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tier list - part 1

Justin Wong's Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tier list - part 1 EG|Justin Wong has put together a new tier list for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and we've posted part 1 of it, covering the Capcom side of the cast, here on EventHubs.

Unlike more traditional tier lists, Justin takes things a few steps further, offering pros and cons for each fighter in addition to a letter grade. He also discusses partners and which positions on a team he feels each fighter is strong at. Here's a little blurb to get you started.

Hey guys, this time this tier list will consist of the cast in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Now before I start I just want to say this is my opinion on all these characters and anyone can disagree or agree.

In the partner section, the people listed there can be an assist that would be helpful or they can use the assist to help their game. For example: Wolverine loves Tatsu assist but Akuma loves Dr. Doom assist. You might see a lot of Doctor Dooms, Vergils in those sections, just a heads up. =p

I will have a grade system running from S+, S, S-, A+, A, A- B+, B, B-, C+ C, C- and D with S+ being highest and D being lowest.

You can check out, part 1 here and stay tuned to the front page for part 2, which will cover the entire Marvel side of the cast.

You can find a full archive of EG|Justin Wong's columns here on EventHubs, and you can view his Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 tier list that was posted a little ways back.

FGTVLive's balance change suggestions to UMvC3 part 4 - Magneto, Dante, Frank West, Firebrand and more

FGTVLive's balance change suggestions to UMvC3 part 4 - Magneto, Dante, Frank West, Firebrand and more The guys over at FGTV return once again with part 4 of the potential changes they'd like to see made in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Today's list covers buffs and nerfs for Dante, Frank West, C. Viper, Magneto, Firebrand and Super-Skrull.

Below is a bit to get you started and you can check out FGTVLive's blog for the full list.

Be sure to check out part 3 of FGTV's changes featuring characters such as Dr. Doom, Zero, Spencer and more. Hit the jump to check out the video embed.

Super Skrull

+ Stomp – Damage set to 80k and is NOT affected by damage scaling. This will allow Skrull to occasionally save hyper gauge to kill off an opponent at the end of a long combo. Also, it’s just a badass move in general and should be used more!

+ DF+H – More hit stun on air hit. This move is risky to throw out and does not have enough hit stun to combo off most assists or specials and we feel it should have a significant hit stun increase.

Frank West

+ OTG Camera shot on hit now unpunishable. This being punishable on hit was probably an oversight.

- Defense boost as Level 5 Frank removed. Frank will keep his damage output at Level 5. With the system changes and overall nerfing of “top tier”, we feel Frank at Level 5 does not need to be as hard to kill as She Hulk.

Character stats, usage rates and more for SSF4 AE v2012, UMvC3, Injustice, etc. - Preview of new EventHubs stats area

Character stats, usage rates and more for SSF4 AE v2012, UMvC3, Injustice, etc. - Preview of new EventHubs stats area In the near future, a new stats section will be launched here on EventHubs which will provide detailed information on nearly every fighting game in our Fight Tracker, which currently supports over 25 titles. From Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 to Injustice: Gods Among Us, to older titles like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Guilty Gear, this new stats page will offer a compelling look at the games we play and love.

Data points included will be how popular a character is, for team games which slot they're most likely to occupy (point, middle, anchor), which partners/other characters they're likely to be grouped with, what regions of the world the people who use these characters players hail from, gaming systems players use and even more.

All of this information will be constantly updated every 12 or 24 hours automatically, and it's populated off of what people have entered into their EventHubs profiles and our Fight Tracker.

As the world's largest fighting game website, EventHubs will be able to provide a look at some of the metrics that our community finds interesting, like usage rates for characters, most popular teams and quite a bit more, and all of it consistently updated.
