Bandai Namco is making a new Marvel licensed video game - full-length trailer for Disk Wars Avengers: Ultimate Heroes

Looks like mobile games company Kabam's forthcoming Marvel Contest of Champions won't be the only fighting game this year to feature characters and licenses from the superhero comics giant.

Bandai Namco Games has recently announced in Japan a new action-slash-fighting game for the 3DS entitled Disk Wars Avengers: Ultimate Heroes, slated to be released later this year in November.

Judging from the game's simple mechanics and its target audience (kids), this is likely a quick cash-in on the popularity of the Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers anime that's currently airing in Japan, rather than a bona fide fighting game and one of the titles that Katsuhiro Harada and the Tekken Project development team are concurrently working on.

Happy birthday? Nope! Merry Christmas! - one combo wipes out an entire team of three in this UMvC3 tournament clip

In a recent event streamed on the Air Juggle Twitch channel, an awesome moment was captured during the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament.

DCB|4th Star went up against Chris D in what appeared to be a one sided fight in favor of the latter. Chris D's Chris Redfield knocked out 4th Star's Dormammu, and things were looking just as bleak for his Dr. Doom. That's when Vergil appeared...

Feeling himself just a little too much, Chris D went for a Team Hyper Combo, and instead of dealing massive damage on 4th Star's Vergil, got caught in the Spiral Swords.

It looks like Christmas came early for the this Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 player.

No hitstun deterioration? Another axed feature accessed in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 leads to an endless amount of indefinite combos

Just after discovering the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 unused feature of characters being able to instantly tag out, TheSkyrae has now revealed a new file in the game allowing zero hitstun deterioration.

This essentially allows every character to combo indefinitely. The video even demonstrates some of the devastation teams can release on their helpless opponents.

If you want to enjoy the extremely broken version for yourself, TheSkyrae also includes a how-to guide in the "About" section.

Check below to get a taste of how crazy Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 truly could have been.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 unused feature allows you to instantly tag in your teammates, lets the new generation of combos begin

A recently discovered Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 feature that never made it into the final build allows characters to instantaneously switch mid combo. In this off screen footage, you can see Vergil and Dr. Doom almost glitch into the place of the previous fighter to continue their combo.

It's interesting to wonder the new possibilities this feature might have brought into the game. Possibly, Capcom simply deemed it too broken, even for the likes of a Marvel vs Capcom game.

Check below to see the wild feature that didn't make the cut.

Ammy causes Jill to shrink, Spider-Man and Spencer freeze Thor in place: This UMvC3 'Cross Assault' CMV features teams of two fighting simultaneously

Our friend Wolverine Master recently sent us one of the best Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 combo videos I've seen in quite some time.

Utilizing the "Cross Assault" glitch, one that allows players to fight as two characters on screen simultaneously, Wolverine Master shows off how devastating teams of two could be if they were the norm in UMvC3.

Among the awesomeness that is the "Cross Assault" combos, we see a couple of interesting in-game glitches such as Thor getting frozen in place and Jill being shrunken down to the size of an ant.

Even though this stuff would never fly in an actual match, it is still astonishing to see the setups that become possible with two characters battling together on screen. There is some great Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 action here, so be sure to check it out below.

All aboard the 3x Doctor Doom Train - Hidden Missiles infinite, Foot Dive loop extensions - Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 CMV

Doctor Doom. With his always helpful Hidden Missiles assist, fancy Foot Dive loops, and full-screen Plasma Beam attacks, it's no wonder he's been a mainstay in many teams since the release of the original Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

If only you could have three of him on the same team. I'd main that team in a jiffy... oh, wait, that's actually possible now with the save hack.

Granted, the save hack does adversely affect the online metagame if played in Ranked Match. But when used offline, you could have a lot of fun discovering and playing around with new combos or techniques not possible before.

For instance, you'd be able to extend Doctor Doom's Foot Dive loops with the Hidden Missiles assist and even combo into a different kind of Foot Dive -- Doctor Doom's raw tag-in attack -- as shown in this Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Doom/Doom/Doom combo video.

Bionic Arms, Footdives, and zoop zoop! Insaynne and Flux run a massive first-to-25 UMvC3 set, IFC Yipes and Matrix commentate

We were recently sent an excellent Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 set in which two of the east coast's best Marvel warriors duke it out in a first-to-25 bout.

CTRL|Flux uses his trademark Zero May Cry (Zero, Vergil, Dante) team against BIFU|Insaynne's Nova, Spencer, Dr. Doom in an incredibly fast-paced exhibition match.

For all of you Marvel heads out there, you'll quickly notice that the two guys on commentary are none other than IFC|Yipes and Chris Matrix.

There is over an hour of Marvel goodness here, and quite a bit of language NSFW, so be careful watching this set at the office.

Wednesday Night Fights to play Ultra Street Fighter 4 on PC, Yatagarasu added to The Runback line-up - season 3 and 4 details

Alex Valle over at Level|Up has posted new information on the upcoming seasons of Wednesday Night Fights and The Runback. With the grand re-opening of Super Arcade taking place later this month, both events will return to the arcade for their third and fourth season.

Wednesday Night Fights is undergoing an interesting change for season 3 and 4 -- Ultra Street Fighter 4 will be played on PC instead of Xbox 360. The hardware used will be provided by Alienware, and Level|Up hopes to expand the fighting game community by "competing on a platform that’s accessible and predominately used in championship gaming events world wide."

It was also announced that Wednesday Night Fights has officially been added as a Capcom Pro Tour ranking event. The top 16 Ultra Street Fighter 4 players in season 3 will earn CPT points based on their overall performance.

Additionally, the overall Ultra Street Fighter 4 grand champion of Wednesday Night Fights season 3 will qualify for the Canada Cup Master Series taking place this November. The champ will win flight and lodging accommodations for the event and will compete against RZR|Xian, QANBA|Xiao Hai, and more for $20,000 CDN.

Galactus can vanish from screen, avoid nearly all damage, and run out the clock in UMvC3 - Nova's Energy Javelin one of the only solutions

A couple of months ago, a trick was discovered that allows player to use three of the same character on one team in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This "save hack" trick also enables players to use Galactus, the game's final boss, in actual matches and even use two of him at once.

We were recently sent a video that shows an online bout where one player uses Galactus in-game. As seen in the video, there is a way to make it so that the UMvC3 boss vanishes from sight, make him impervious to nearly all damage.

According to Flying High, the person who uploaded the video, the only way to way to hit Galactus at this point is with a homing projectile attack, like Nova's Energy Javelin. Players using this trick can deal a small bit of chip damage to their opponent, disappear, and lame out a victory by running out the clock.

Check out the footage below.

Nemo to face Filipino Champ in high-stakes UMvC3 exhibition at West Coast Warzone 4, event added as Capcom Pro Tour ranking event

West Coast Warzone returns with its fourth installment in the tournament series and with it will come some very nice surprises for the fighting game community.

First of all, BE|Nemo, one of Japan's best Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 players, has been invited to compete at this year's West Coast Warzone. He has already accepted the invitation, and is set to go head-to-head with one of the US' best, Filipino Champ, in a high-stakes UMvC3 exhibition match.

The all-star bout will take place on finals day of the tournament (Sunday), and although the monetary details could not be shared at this time, this match-up may rival the classic MvC2 money match between GoldenBoyNeo and BT|Clockw0rk.
