10-meter combo that uses three level 3 Hypers, Dante glitches and gets frozen in place: ApologyMan's Firebrand CMV is insane

It's been a little while since we've featured an Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 combo video here on the front page, but today's compilation is definitely worth the watch.

MMG|ApologyMan recently put together a CMV that focuses on performing the most impressive Firebrand combos he could come up with. As we all know, ApologyMan is easily the best Firebrand player around, and that surely reflects in these here combos.

In this video, you'll witness a sequence in which Dante glitches out and gets frozen in place, crazy loops using Firebrand's familiar, and a ridiculous 10-meter combo that uses Firebrand's level 3 Hyper a staggering three times. Keep in mind, this combo is 100% legit and obeys meter limits.

Check out ApologyMan's crazy Firebrand combo video after the jump!

'I'm the most complete Marvel player but I don't think there is a clear #1...' FChamp talks Final Round, his new job and his plans for the future

Final Round 18 was a huge hit this past weekend with a huge list of international names and fierce competition. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 victor, Filipino Champ, sat down with The Score eSports to discuss his tournament win.

In true Filipino Champ fashion, the Marvel veteran tweeted out a slightly snide, "I can Block" after his impressive showing at last weekend's tournament. The tweet itself received much attention and was a great segue into his post tourney interview wherein he revealed a major part of his in game mindset.

"Defense to me is the highest attribute in fighting games and I work hard developing my defense over time. Thanks to it my tourney results are pretty consistent."

Moving on to ask where Champ places himself on the top player list for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, he replied that he's "the most complete Marvel player but I don't think there is a clear #1. Chris (Gonzales), Justin (Wong), and I are all tied I think. No one else comes close."

Pretty bold words, but with the track record to back them up, it's difficult to disagree. Champ would go on to discuss his current practice situation as well as his new found fire for Street Fighter. Hit the jump to see more.

The Wong Factor can't be stopped, Momochi makes incredible reads, and more in these Final Round 18 highlights from day 3

The final day of Final Round 18 marked even more upsets and intense action than we thought could follow an equally intense day 2. Not only limited to Ultra Street Fighter 4, amazing moments happened in almost every title played at the tournament. We've highlighted a select few for your pleasure, but you could probably find even more. That's how stacked this tournament really was.

r/Kappa|Kazunoko vs. BT|Marlinpie

No, this isn't Street Fighter; it's Guilty Gear Xrd grand finals. After being knocked into the loser's bracket and crawling his way back into grand finals, r/Kappa's Kazunoko certainly didn't seem in a winning position until he reset the bracket where he continued to dominate all the way through the next two matches and tournament point.

Whatever had shaken BT|Marlinpie, though, looked to have vanished. Regaining his composure, his Zato was able to take Kazunoko's Ky down to a sliver of health. Long sets are full of ebbing and flowing with momentum, and this seemed to be no different. But Kazunoko had other plans. Making a miraculous comeback, he cornered BT|Marlinpie and kept the pressure and combos going until he took the round and the tournament.

This would not be the end of the upsets and wild action of Final Round 18's highlights. To continue seeing intensity that easily rivals yesterday's action, continue reading below.

Life of Nemo: 'I spend 3x more time gaming now than previously' - tips on how you can get better at fighting games

You've seen what a day in MCZ|Daigo's and EG|Momochi's lives look like.

Daigo spends about five to six hours on playing fighting games a day, while Momochi allegedly spends as much as 13 hours a day gaming (though not all of it is fighting games; he does play a lot of Puzzle & Dragons). And from this interview with RZR|Xian we know that he spends about six to eight hours a day gaming.

But these are all numbers for pro gamers who are sponsored to train and go to tournaments; it's part of their job.

What about someone who holds a full-time job outside of their gaming activities, and still manages to be amazingly great at fighting games? Someone like, say, BE|Nemo?

How much time does BE|Nemo spend on gaming? Read on to find out.

NYChrisG gets picked up by Tempo Storm, will be travelling to Final Round 18 to represent the eSports organization

eSports organization Tempo Storm announced today that they're bringing NYChrisG into their fold, a move that will expand their competitive portfolio to include fighting games.

Originally a professional Hearthstone team, Tempo Storm first began expanding into other eSports fields when they picked up Heroes of the Storm team Symbiote Gaming to play under their banner earlier this year. NYChrisG is Tempo Storm's first competitive fighting games player.

“I met Reynad (Andrey “Reynad” Yanyuk, CEO and Owner of Tempo Storm) through a friend, and as we talked I quickly learned how he was interested in expanding Tempo Storm into the FGC," NYChrisG said in a press release, on how talks of the sponsorship began.

"At the time I wasn't sponsored. I was looking for a way to travel to events and get into streaming to further my gaming career. We had the same goals in mind and we came to an agreement. I'm happy to say that I'm a part of Tempo Storm!”

In Depth: Justin Wong and the numbers – Is Marvel dead? Find out in this final installment of EventHubs's three-part series

Is Marvel dead? Well, that depends on who you ask. We've already spoken with former Evolution champion Filipino Champ and MMG|ApologyMan—another top MvC3 player—to get some different perspectives on the hot issue.

However, I wanted to dig a bit deeper. That means talking to a tournament organizer to grab the unbiased numbers to get a different perspective to compare.

Even then, a tournament organizer is one interesting perspective, but what if I could bring in someone that has been at the top of the series for years? What if I could ask the greatest player in Marvel's long legacy?

EG|Justin Wong needs very little introduction in the world of Marvel vs. Capcom, but just in case you wanted any justification for his being on top, then consider that Wong has been the Evolution champion for a Marvel vs. Capcom title no less than 7 times.

Will Wong hammer the final nail into Marvel's coffin, or will he tear the casket open and to reveal a joystick and a TV ready to go?

Read below to join me for the final part of EventHubs's investigation.

MarlinPie's Marvel comebacks, Valmaster's dance with Dogura, Infiltration's Decapre and... Snake Eyez; Highlights from this weekend's big tournaments

The Fighting Game Community had a very full weekend with two major tournaments, Winter Brawl 9 and Sonic Boom.

From international mayhem to coastal rivalries, things didn't let up for even a moment all weekend long, and we have some of our favorite moments from both tournaments to share with you.

First up, BT|MarlinPie and his amazing performance at Winter Brawl's Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 tourney.

Though he would end up getting second to PAG|Cosmos, MarlinPie had some great moments on his road to grand finals. The first one is right here, where he brilliantly resets J Rosa's Strider to close out the match.

Pie wasn't done with his flashy comebacks however, as he would meet KPB|Randomfiend and handle things in a similar fashion, this time with his Amaterasu.

Hit the jump to see the USF4 moments.
