Street Fighter X Tekken becomes Servbot X Tron Bonne?! Amazing fan mod shows everybody's favourite robot pilot cross the line

If you thought that Tron Bonne was relegated to Marvel vs. Capcom titles for fighting game appearances, think again. Thanks to the ever-amazing Street Fighter X Tekken modding community, Tron Bonne and Servbot can now both be played in the PC version of Street Fighter X Tekken.

This also uses a character addition function to expand the roster in the game, letting you add more character slots onto the game. For more details, you can check the source for the new characters at the bbbSFXT DeviantArt page.

IFC Yipes no longer a part of Empire Arcadia

In a tweet sent out mere minutes ago, IFC Yipes announced that he is no longer part of the New York-based fighting game team Empire Arcadia.

This comes very shortly after another former EMP player, Sanford Kelly, announced his departure, signing a sponsorship deal with Steam Co.

As of yet, there has been no word of IFC Yipes signing with a new team or sponsor.

The whole year has led up to this moment, and it's finally time to prove who's the best at EVO 2014. The tournament begins at 8AM PDT, and features an incredible amount of players from all across the world battling it out in 8 official tournament games, with side-tournaments also being played at the venue.

The gargantuan tournament's main features are Ultra Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Killer Instinct, BlazBlue: Chronophantasma, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Injustice: Gods Among Us and King of Fighters 13.

This may be the highest level of fighting game competition that the world will see for an entire year, so have your snacks and drinks ready, and buckle up for some amazing action in all of these titles.

Sanford Kelly now sponsored by The Steam Company, no longer with Empire Arcadia

Sanford Kelly, one of New York's finest Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 players, has just been picked up by a new sponsor, e-cigarettes maker The Steam Company, according to a tweet on the company's official Twitter account.

It was thanks to The Steam Co.'s sponsorship that Sanford Kelly could be there in Las Vegas for EVO 2014 this weekend. But the sponsorship is for long-term, not simply a weekend-only affair, The Steam Co. said in response to a question on Twitter.

Sanford Kelly's new sponsor also confirmed that the player has parted ways with Empire Arcadia -- refer to the tweets below.

Evolution 2014, the Super Bowl of fighting games, is set to punch and kick its way into Las Vegas this weekend. If you aren't able to attend in person this year, then chances are you'll be staying in and catching all of the action via live stream.

Niitsuma would like to be a part of a Capcom vs. Capcom game if it happens, says curtain is closing on UMvC3

It appears the curtain is about to officially close on the future development of anything related to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

The game's producer, Ryota Niitsuma, spoke for awhile on Twitter recently talking about his hopes to be involved with a Capcom vs. Capcom title if it were to happen, and the fact that the "curtain is closing on UMvC3."

Someone wondered if the curtain had been closed awhile ago, but Niitsuma said that it wasn't completely closed, and these things take time.

Niitsuma also mentioned that they're not working on Capcom vs. SNK 3 at this moment, nor Rival Schools 3. You can find the complete rundown below.

Tonight's event will be a 3 out of 5, double elimination tournament, and there are some heavy hitters in attendance. RG|Filipino Champ, CTRL|RayRay, CTRL|Flux, CJ Showstopper, Falcomist, KYLE P, Darryn, and Mr. EMP|IFC Yipes himself are all expected to compete.

With EVO 2014 taking place next weekend, you're probably wondering exactly what's at stake this year. Luckily, an Imgur user by the name of acekingoffsuit recently posted estimated prize payouts for each of the main games on the EVO lineup.

These numbers were calculated using the number of reported entrants per game, the amount sent to the prize pot for each entrance fee ($10), any additional pot bonuses, and the official EVO prize structure.
