How to select the same character three times on a single team in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Someone in the community has already figured out how to select the same three characters and put them all on the same squad in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, a bug that was shown yesterday.

Bebopaloobop posted a video showing he performed the hack, but also left instructions on how it's done.

Note, this involves using an USB stick and save state hacking. The complete rundown, along with video proof, is available after the break.

Triple Vergils: Bug in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 lets you select the same character three times

A bug has been discovered in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 which lets you choose the same character three times on a single team. This also works in online modes.

Crying Brian did a stream late last night which shows him playing three Vergils all on the same squad.

This bug is apparently accomplished by using the reserve unit feature, which lets you store pre-selected teams so they're easily accessible.

The footage of the stream where this happens is available after the jump, note it contains NSFW language.

FGC trading cards: Twin Galaxies & Jason24cf create baseball card styled sets for popular faces; will be shown in exhibit

Recently Twin Galaxies, an organization that tracks video game world records, got in touch with EventHubs correspondent Jason24cf, saying that they loved his photos of top players in the community, and wanted to feature them as a trading card series.

Twin Galaxies created a set of baseball card styled images for many of the popular faces in the community based on Jason's photos, and they will be displayed in a "high-level art gallery exhibition" as well as presented to the players themselves.

"The fighting game genre has become so important that the superstars of this discipline have become important parts of the cultural history of our times," said Walter Day, the founder of Twin Galaxies.

"In recognition of their valuable contribution to our culture, the superstars photographed by Jason Laboy are going to be honored with their own video game trading cards," continued Day.

There will also be a red-carpet ceremony with awards to these gamers, thanking them for their contributions to the gaming scene. They will also be presented with these cards.

You can find the images after the break, along with Jason's award for his contributions.

Justin Wong is the best UMvC3 player in the world, so when I beat him I got emotional realizing how far I've come says Insaynne

BIFU|Insaynne took on EG|Justin Wong in UMvC3 at East Coast Throwdown 2014 during the top 16 portion of the event, and managed to defeat him.

After he beat Wong, Insaynne got so emotional about the victory, he started to cry and he was asked about what went down by EventHubs' correspondent Jason24cf in an interview.

"I believe Justin Wong is the best Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 player in the world, so for me to see where my progress has finally got me, to finally beat Justin Wong [...] I couldn't control the emotions afterwards," said Insaynne.

Getting emotional after a big victory isn't unheard of in the realm of professional sports, as athletes like Michael Jordan have cried after winning an NBA championship.
