Major League Baseball star Hunter Pence has a pretty sick Green Arrow in Injustice: Gods Among Us

IGN's Destin Legarie recently sat down to play a few games of Injustice: Gods Among Us, and with him he had a special guest opponent. Major League Baseball athlete, and outfielder for the San Francisco Giants, Hunter Pence stopped by to get in some matches.

Despite devoting his life to being an MLB star, it seems that Pence has clocked in a great amount of time playing Injustice. As you can see in the following footage, the Giants' outfielder not only has a solid understanding of the game mechanics, but also has a pretty sick Green Arrow.

Not only that, but Pence mentions in the video that he enjoys watching Injustice streams in his spare time. It's always a treat to see people in other specialties enjoying fighting games and taking the time to acquire the knowledge.

Tiers for Injustice: Gods Among Us launched on EventHubs

We've just launched our tiers pages for Injustice: Gods Among Us, giving our users the ability to vote on the game's match ups, along with providing areas to discuss them with their fellow players.

If you're knowledgeable about Injustice, please get in there and vote on the match ups you're familiar with.

Keep in mind this section updates once an hour, so keep checking back to see how the tiers are taking shape.

When a tier section is first launched, just a few votes can have a drastic impact on how the list shakes out, but over time the picture gets much more defined and normalized.

As promised, we're going to be rolling out new tiers sections on a regular basis now, so we'll have yet another game available in about three or four days. Stay tuned.

Tournament news roundup: Capcom explains how Pro Tour online registration works; Injustice added to MLG Anaheim, $7,500 up for grabs

This week we were hit with two important bits of information regarding major fighting game events. So, for convenience's sake, we thought we'd group them together, and give you all the 4-1-1 on what's going down. (Is 4-1-1 still a thing?)

First off, Peter "Combofiend" Rosas took to the Capcom Unity blog to explain exactly how the Street Fighter Online Series tournament registration works. In case you missed it, Virgin Gaming made the online tournament sign ups and qualifying matches live earlier this week.

Combofiend clarifies that once a tournament qualification period goes live, it's a race to fill up the bracket. Players must win three qualification matches in a row in order to secure a spot on the double elimination bracket.

The qualifying matches can be played any time up until April 15th, but once the 16 spots on the bracket are filled, the qualifying period ends. If you keep getting sent back to the landing page when trying to sign up, it's because the bracket has already been filled.

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 brackets are already full in the US and Europe, however, there still may be some available slots in Latin America.
