No infinite for you! NetherRealm Software release hotfix to deal with Batgirl's infinite

A few days ago, we reported on a Batgirl infinite found by RG|Sonic Fox in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

NetherRealm Software have today made it clear that they will have none of that, releasing a hotfix to deal with the issue, by increasing the recovery on her Flying Bat move.

This is a good example of how the current capabilities of patching can really help developers show the love for their community by addressing issues as quickly as possible.

General news roundup: Skullgirls' Fukua now available, King of Fighters 13 100% combos, 14 fancy Pandora combos in SFxT and more

Quite a bit of news/tech has been sent to us this past week, so instead of posting a bunch of rapid fire stories, we thought we'd round it all up in one spot for everyone to check out. This week's general roundup features Skullgirls Encore, Street Fighter X Tekken, King of Fighters 13, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate.

First up, Skullgirls Encore added some new content via an automatic update. Players on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC now have full, playable access to Fukua, the Filia clone that was originally intended to merely be an April Fool's joke.

Fukua's story mode has been added, along with two new stages: The Glass Canopy and Nightmare Crest. Several bug fixes and balance changes have also been implemented.

Editor's note: Fukua can be found by moving the cursor to the right of Big Band on the character select screen. Her portrait will not be visible until you hover over her.

Batgirl infinite in Injustice: Gods Among Us discovered by Sonic Fox, possible to perform it mid-screen

RG|Sonic Fox has discovered an infinite for Batgirl in Injustice: Gods Among Us. It was initially believed to be corner-dependent, but it's possible to pull this off mid-screen as well.

One way to set this up is to do a Cartwheel High Kick in the corner, pause for a second, and then keep hitting the opponent with Batgirl's Flying Bat.

The mid-screen version can be done from Batgirl's vortex, you do a B2U3, wait until right before they hit the ground and keep doing the Flying Bat.

EGP|Wonder Chef said about the discovery, "You have to repeat it quite a bit to get a real large damage increase, and if you drop it you [can get punished by a full combo.]"

He also pointed out in the comments that you can start this from any launcher any where on screen.

Ed Boon is counting down to something on Twitter - Is it a new Mortal Kombat? Injustice? Or something else?

NetherRealm Studios' Ed Boon has started a countdown over on Twitter that may be leading up to the company's next game reveal. The Mortal Kombat kreator has now sent out three cryptic hints, each of which unveiling a number descending from 29.

The first tweet asked for the square root of 841, which comes out to 29. The second asked for the number of days in (non-leap-year) February, which is 28. Today's tweet simply linked up a video clip from the television show, The Simpsons, which ends with the number 27.

If Boon continues this countdown, it should end right around June 2. A recent rumor suggests that a sequel to the DC Comics brawler, Injustice: Gods Among Us, may currently be in the works. However, back in February of this year, star of the 24 television series, Keifer Sutherland, mentioned on Twitter that he recently concluded work on a Mortal Kombat title.

Whether NetherRealm Studios is working on either game or something completely new is still yet to be revealed. We'll just have to wait until the end of Mr. Boon's countdown to see what they have in store for fans.
