Why did T. Hawk drop in the rankings? Major additions to tiers help answer that question and more

We've just launched some major additions to our tiers here on EventHubs.

The first thing you'll notice right off is we now list the top 10 gains and losses for all of the games currently in our tiers, which are SSF4 AE v2012 and BlazBlue CP.

One of the biggest new features is now you can track how every single match up in every game has changed — or is currently changing.

So if you see that T. Hawk has dropped several points in our rankings, you can click through to find out why.

Our tier listings are now updated every hour, so if a character gets hot in a tournament, you'll be able to chart their rise (or fall) and see which match ups they're gaining or losing ground in.

Major updates coming to tiers sections - BlazBlue: CP now over 3,500 votes

We've got major updates coming to the tiers area on EventHubs in the very near future. First off, we'll have a new feature in place which lets you chart the daily/weekly/monthly changes of all character's match ups.

So if you want to see how the Cammy vs. Fei Long match in SSF4 AE v2012 has evolved in the last month/week/day — you'll be able to do so. Again, this change will be applicable for all characters and all match ups in our tiers area.

Currently, it's only possible to see how things are changing in regards to their overall score, but soon we'll be greatly expanding the information available.

Also, we'll be launching a brand spanking new index page (which our subscribers will be getting an exclusive first look at in the newsletter tomorrow) which tracks the biggest rises and falls in all of the games in our tiers.

So if a character gets hot in a tournament, you'll be able to see them rise up through the listings — as it happens.

Tiers section launched for BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma - see results, vote and discuss match ups

We're very happy to announce we've launched our second tiers section here on EventHubs, for BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma.

This creates a stomping ground for the community to discuss and vote in all of the match ups in the game.

You'll be able to see the early thoughts of the community on how the matches shake out and overall character power too.

We'll still be rolling out a number of improvements to the tiers section in the near future, including a completely revised index page, but we wanted to get this tool in the hands of the community on launch day so they have it available to start collecting information.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma released today in North America - stats, Fight Tracker and profile pages updated

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma is officially out today in North America. While the title has been released in Japanese arcades since late 2012, it only hit the PS3 in the land of the rising sun on October 2013.

Chrono Phantasma has already picked up a very solid following in the competitive scene though, a fact which should only be bolstered with its release state side, and else where in North America.

We've migrated our BlazBlue pages over to the latest version, so if you hit up our stats page for Chrono Phantasma you'll find all of the new characters, and these areas all utilize the new artwork for the game as well.

Also, now is a good time to update your profile and list the characters you're using, as it'll also enable other people to find you with our handy Fight Tracker, so they can work on specific match ups, or simply find people who are located close by to compete with.

PlayStation Plus members can get a few dollars off the game, too.

We'll have quite a bit more BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma coverage in the near future, so please stay tuned.

Bringing an old concept into the modern age - Kickstarter project to revitialize Super Arcade

If you're anything like me, you love that good old arcade feel. Especially for fighting game enthusiasts, game centers like these are generally something to hold very dear.

Arcades have been closing left and right during the last few years, but one of them still stands strong. Super Arcade in Walnut, California is one of the very few such places that is still running, but it might not be viable to do so much longer unless some changes are put in place.

Mike Watson, the owner of Super Arcade, has started a new Kickstarter project, where you can help to build Super Arcade into the palace of fighting games that everyone would love for it to be.

Hit the jump to see the Kickstarter video, and more details on how to assist.
