NESiCAxLive now in the United States at Round 1 in California, more locations potentially receiving it

Though it's been quite a long time since we talked about NESiCAxLive, an arcade board that allows the legitimate downloading of countless games and updates onto a single unit digitally, we can finally report that a unit has come to the United States.

The first unit is at Round 1, an arcade in Los Angeles, California (Puente Hills). This could have an enormous impact on the arcade scene in the United States, mixing cost effective convenience for business owners with a huge library of titles for players.

In the announcement tweet by Round 1, they ask that people come by and show interest, with NESiCAxLive units only being able to grow in distribution if they're amply supported by the community. Here's the tweet in question:

If this is something you are interested in, tweet our to Round 1 and let them know, or go to the venue yourself and support it! Perhaps we'll be seeing a lot more of NESiCAxLive in the US soon.

Arc System Works has been kicking around ideas for a new fighting game

Both of Arc System Works' A-list titles have new versions coming down the pipeline. For Guilty Gear Xrd, we have Revelator, and BlazBlue : Central Fiction was just recently unveiled.

Despite all of that, it seems the company is interested in creating a brand new fighting game. In an interview with Famitsu (thanks to Hachima), Arc System Works' president Minoru Kidooka said that the company is aiming to release more console titles.

“I don’t know if some of these retail games will end up being sold digitally instead, but we’d like to at least work on increasing the number of console titles that can be sold at full price,” Kidooka explained.

Famitsu moved forward, asking if the company had any plans to create any new fighting games.

Multiple updates to tiers sections - MKX list heavily changed, Tanya & Predator added, BlazBlue and Skullgirls reset, Aria available

With the deluge that E3 created this year, we had been a little late in updating our various tiers sections on the website, but we pulled out all of the stops today and got caught up with things.

First off, we added Tanya and Predator to the Mortal Kombat tier listings, plus the list has been shaken up a lot, as a number of characters have swung up or down low recently.

Note that Predator and Tanya barely have any votes currently from the community, so they're currently located in the middle of the list, but that should change soon, as readers start inputting some of their match ups.

Next up, since BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend was recently released, we've reset the tiers, but also added Lambda and Celica into the mix.

Skullgirls got their 2nd Encore out into the wild, and we've added Robo-Fortune into their roster, plus reset their tiers.

Finally, long awaited and requested, Aria is now available for Killer Instinct tier voting.

As always, any time we reset the tiers for a game, we archive them. You can find the archives on the index pages for those respective titles.
