No, Dieminion won 2 - 1. The last time they fought (Apocalypse in Paris I think) I'm pretty sure Dieminion beat him then too.

I saw Valmaster beat Dieminion in a first to 5 exhibition a few months ago and at another tournament around then but I don't think he managed it since?

Could have gone either way this time, every fight was close. Dieminion was really on point blocking / teching everything and dominated the neutral game, but Valmaster was on point punishing booms with super / ultra.

The only European player I can think of who has consistently beaten Dieminion is Luffy. It's been very close when they've fought though, and the way Dieminion is playing today I think he has a decent chance of taking it tomorrow.

Well, Cammy was not played that much in american tournaments before she was considered as a top tier in 2012. When Rose and Chun-li become top tier in USF4, you will be happy to see lots and lots of Roses and Chun-lis in american tournaments.

For a couple of reasons : because the europeans servers are terrible on twitch ; because the ads don't pay well at all on twitch ; because the chat delay is horrible on twitch ; because Dailymotion often is a sponsor like twitch is for american tournaments.

That's about it.

#40
godfist314 said on May 18, 2014 at 5:35 a.m.

I don't care about chat anymore and I hate watching streams in a browser because of the lag. I use another method to watch streams that is just the pure unfiltered stream itself(ie no chat to distract me and ZERO possiblity ads I dont even need to worry about adblock drama).

How do I do this you ask? Livestreamer and Potplayer. Figure out the rest yourself.

Ken Bogard should do evo commentary. It's better than all our English commentaries even though i don't understand French.

This is more like sport play by play commentary. Ultra-Chen commentary is like "omg, Jwong is so great." "Ricky is so godlike, he can't lose if he hits ex SS."

Too bad Luffy completely lost him momentum and start panicking, he could have get the win several times. Good stuff to Dieminion even tho I don't like his play-style (aka Guile style).

Armada got bodied in the Grand Finale, dat 6-0.

Hope next year the tournament will be run a little bit better, more than 3 hours late is unacceptable (some of it due to technical issue but still).

I think it is actually quite a good way to motivate people:

"Listen X, you need to become the best in SFIV. So we will send you in an other country, and the only way for you to go back home is to be first at one of the local tornament"

And at this point, the story of Dieminion in the terrible french country began.

Mr. Triforce,

Can I ask a question just out of human interest:

So you are still stuck here (I'm from Belgium), is that traumatising? as in will you ever dare to come back or never leaving the US again? I wonder what it does to a person to be stranded somewhere.

Yes it is unfortunate that we are stuck here and we now have to apply for citizenship now. When is the next French tournament? Perhaps I can send Dieminion there to compete and he can make enough money for himself to get home. Oh we'll go to Meltdown this Sunday and hopefully there is enough people there for him to win enough money. Right now, I have to leave this McDonald's and find a new one to stay at because I've been here too long.
