I'm pretty sure Ed Ma used to be in socal but then moved to Canada, presumably for a job. So no wonder he is participating in this tournament.

I remember he after after Evo that one year he made top 4, he went to get his master's or something. Plus I recall him saying something like how he put duo much effort that one year in Evo, that he was pretty satisfied with himself in SF

Ya guys Ed Ma actually moved to Montreal, Canada last year to work at either Ubisoft MTL or Electronic Arts MTL thats why he has been making appearances at Canadian majors.

when you have Noel Brown in the top 8 in SF you know it's an extremely weak tourney.

#23
Gotomaster said on May 18, 2014 at 4:47 p.m.

Well the competition in this tourney wasn't very strong, so I wouldn't take it as a noticeable indicator.

#24
CapCharisma said on May 18, 2014 at 5:02 p.m.

I would probably put JWONG second. I think Tokido takes the title for best all around FG player.

So... it is hard for me to get interested in AE tournaments that do not have Capcom Pro Tour Points on the line. I hate to say it but it is like those are the only ones that really matter. I can not help but to wonder why a TO would not make sure that they are at least a ranking event.

Good job to KBrad and J. Wong. Bodied those clowns on their home turf.

Say what you want about the Injustice patching, but the end result is a more balanced game with a lot of variety in the top 8s. Not a single duplicate character.
