too little rivalry between these players, they all seem good friends, takes some fun out, this tournament lacks a Sanford Kelly

There are a lot of rivalries at WNF, but we're all good sports and don't need to be unfriendly about it.

For example,

Chris vs velociraptor
myers vs myself
brentt vs snake (brentt's gunning for his first win against him hard)
Keno vs velociraptor

Just because we have fun playing, doesn't mean we are not playing our hardest or that we don't want to win. Trust me.

epic ending to the sf4 tournament lol. velociraptor finally gave in and went shirtless. too funny. i was always curious though, what is the prize pool for wnf? some % of total buy in or something?

I do think that WNF, could be hyper for viewers. It's really awesome attending, but I don't know if that always translates to the stream viewers at home though :/

Prize pool is a split of the prize pool each week.

1st place gets 70 percent, 2nd place gets 20, and third gets 10.

Prize pool is the 5 dollars each player contributes to the pot when entering. (venue fee is 5 dollars at super, then you contribute an additional 5 to the pot. So, 10 dollars total)

First place usually gets around 120 bucks.
We typically do matches each week for low stakes bipsons as well.

I've been watching WNF for years. What most people don't get is that you guys improve faster because you are friends. There is a lot more sharing between you and you stand up for each other. I am confident that in a few years the majority of top US players will be from SoCal.

Papa Valle has helped create a wonderful community and that's why i respect him more now than i ever did in the past when he was just a top player. He has built a family around this game and this is so obvious when you guys enter competitions together. But most importantly, as you've said, you have fun with SF which is the whole point of a game.

Yo, Keno made that whole thing epic!

"YO! JULIO! JULIO! LOOK AT ME!"

Then at then, it's shirts off time for Keno and Veloc1raptor...and then they come this close to onscreen rape when they try and fail to pull a third dude's shirt off.

Well done, Keno. Well done.

(Btw, the fun starts at 3hrs and 30min into the archives)
