More footage of Nuki's return to SSF4 AE v2012; this time he battles Karipaku's Cody in a first-to-seven set

Posted by Steven 'Dreamking23' Chavez • March 24, 2014 at 1:10 p.m. PDT

Earlier this month we saw that the last of the five Street Fighter gods may be making a return to the scene. Nuki has started running regular Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 sessions, training his Chun-Li against the likes of Uyro and others.

This time around, we have even more footage of Nuki in action. His opponent in this first-to-seven set is none other than Karipaku, an excellent Cody player.

There is some great action here, so be sure to hit the jump for nearly an hour of footage.

Oh please. This is a news site, and news comes from anywhere. I dont think your parents or grandparents complain when FOX News and CNN have the same story. So go away if you dont like it.

Dude, are you new to this website? This is common knowledge, but we don't talk about and just accept it, since fighting game news in general are scarce anyway. We are happy/sometimes salty to comment on and read every single "new" article. You should refrain from making these kind of comments though, you will get banned or downvoted.

I mean, it's even in the title of the website...Event Hubs, it's a central hub ( Hub - noun : the effective center of an activity, region, or network. ) containing FGC Events and news...

So rather than having to search Shoryuken, tokidoblog, iplaywinner, etc... you can just come to the Event Hub and find it there...

I don't understand where the critisism over where the news comes from, EH always credits and mentions the source and person(s) that submitted...

Stealing money...yet linking the source, lol. Guess what just happened. I just went to TokidoBlog for the 1st time ever, and you know why that was? Because they linked it in blue by the word Source. Thanks EHUB for linking the origin of the content.

TheLaw said on March 24, 2014 at 1:58 p.m.

This site isn't posting stuff as if it's their own content and stealing from others. If you actually look at the article it gives you the source of where the information comes from. It would be a bit different if they posted this and didn't give credit or the source of where it came from, but that isn't the case. If Oprah winfrey was assassinated, it's bound to be on multiple television broadcasts. Same with this post. Like i said, they cited the source and gave a brief description of what the post is about, no different than an annotated bibliography. And since you want to insult others, you must be 13yo to not know how citing sources work as well as credibility.

#6 here comes chrisg d riders.

#2 who the f cares? tokidoblog, beastnote, shoryuken is also not a content creator, they are content aggregator, just like EH. Quit with that elitist copyright bullsh1t.

What matters is why people came here to put random ass comment instead of actually talking about the topic itself?

Anyway back to main topic, I'm glad Nuki making his comeback to SF4, hope he's going to EVO and make it to top 8. It is not impossible for player with his caliber.

Don't really care for all this bs from sagatee. Just watched some of those vids and he's got a long way to go if he wants to do well at evo. He's some way off the top players but it would be great if he can do it.

#25
TheLaw said on March 24, 2014 at 2:34 p.m.

I dont seem to understand either... EHubs gave the source of the information and posted it on their website. They're basically saying it isn't theirs by giving the original source of the article... if anything Tokidoblog IS getting hits due to all the views because the footage is still linked to their blog. I think your just overreacting lol

@Sagateee

Eventhubs is giving more exposure to Tokidoblog by posting their news. Tokidoblog probably benefits from this if anything.

Not to mention, Eventhubs is linking their videos, so they're getting the hits anyways. Unless those aren't Tokidoblog's videos to begin with, and if that's the case, they're doing the exact same thing you're complaining about.

I admire your effort to give credit where it's due, but you picked the exact wrong article to make this point.

#1 'Hits' (which in no way correlate to money) come with the embeds. If Tokidoblog did not WANT aggregators to link to him, he would simply turn embedding off.

#2 Tokidoblog himself took this material, without permission, from niconico. My guess is that niconico turns a blind eye when its material is distributed outside of Japan--although they've issued takedowns to several YT posters, especially related to Topanga.

#3 if you think **anyone** is making money in the FGC, you're sadly mistaken. We're a tiny subculture. If you did turn adsense on to your OG youtube video, you'd make about $3 per 1k impressions--about ten bucks if the video was really successful.

#46
beast_gief said on March 24, 2014 at 6:39 p.m.

Duh.

Eventhubs doesn't really have writers. You'd think they'd think it was a good idea to publish their own content, but I guess it's just too much work.

The FGC will never grow from what it is now. No one is putting forth any effort.

LoL and SC2 are so far ahead

TheArchangel said on March 24, 2014 at 7:27 p.m.

Great match. Fantastic Chun-Li and fantastic Cody. I'd like to see more footage of Karipaku, since she seems really good. I'm not sure how rusty Nuki is, but infiltration's Chun-Li seems a bit better.

The only issue I have with Sagatee is that he's doing what the typical troll always does. Accusing anyone who disagrees with him as being a child, as though he is somehow more mature than them, only to completely contradict himself by insulting them in the process, which is typical behavior for a child, but again, those 2 things kind of go hand in hand. Calling someone a child is in itself, an insult.

Madenka said on March 24, 2014 at 10:24 p.m.

While a majority of news and such is from other sources, EH still provide their own content. I dont know any other fg site that has a community tier list for ae2012 for example.

#54
BladeStunner said on March 25, 2014 at 12:34 a.m.

Your boy Tokidoblog was merely the first one to report (aka steal (apparently)) this from a channel named 'Game Fighter' on Dailymotion. He still gets the hits when people watch the videos. Tokidoblog can be happy he gets mentioned as the source...
