Why are these so overpriced. Is it framed in solid gold?

Small typo in the title. Should be "museum", no?

I would love some of this authentic art, but I just don't have the money for it right now. Curses.

If it isn't Chun Li taking the camel for a walk, you can guarantee sakura will.

Ridiculous prices. They are not even good in some cases, just a lot of white with portraits here and there

Saw this on Shoryuken yesterday...I really loved that SSF2T black and white box set, but its not a 700$ size love lol. Like an above poster mentioned, ill wait for HQ scans...maybe ad a single color and make me a mock Triumvir T-shirt or two ^_^

I don't see any "different eras" besides SF2 and one of 3 and Alpha 2.

It doesn't really matter how "crappy" you think they are, as a collector I would gladly pay for a certified high quality signed print. They are worth something, its all in the framing imo. Frick I have over twenty large and small so far.

*looks at price* "pfft, I'll take 3 of each print, please."

DrDevice said on January 9, 2014 at 8:04 p.m.

Those prices are pretty ridiculous honestly. Still I love the 3s girls and Chun+Guile.

Aluppoj said on January 9, 2014 at 8:07 p.m.

These are fantastic. I'm considering the Ikeno Ryu vs Sagat. Too GDLK.

#24
yamazaki said on January 9, 2014 at 8:13 p.m.

signed by ono and not the artist is kind of dumb though.

#25
EKSR said on January 9, 2014 at 8:14 p.m.

I treasure my signed Jo Chen's.

#26
ryuhayabusa13 said on January 9, 2014 at 8:46 p.m.

Fantastic, but prefere signed by original artists. Either way too expensive :\

#27
irrenmann said on January 9, 2014 at 9:23 p.m.

I'm in, but I'll have whichever I choose (tough choice!) framed myself; the framing prices are a bit high.

#28
EKSR said on January 9, 2014 at 9:26 p.m.

Custom framing. DIY.

Snipurr said on January 9, 2014 at 10:01 p.m.

$215 for a print? I can get that done at my local cvs for about $8.

GoldMember said on January 9, 2014 at 10:43 p.m.

no offence ,but i have seen better.and i would bet money that some of the readers here can do better. At deviantart you can find better ones.
signature or not,i rather spend that money on a good sculpt or real long poster.
these paintings are not bad ,but not good either.
so much money for so much white , i dont know ...

#32
FightDirty said on January 9, 2014 at 11:31 p.m.

Damn! Sakura really doesn't hold back does she.

The art is OK but not worth these prices. I've purchased good original artwork in NYC that wasn't this pricey - seriously. But I guess since they will be signed by Ono is what justifies the cost.

#33
Zenfluence said on January 10, 2014 at 2:57 a.m.

Whats the "better" art in this case is more subjective than anything. The prints from a well known artist like Nishimura holds a bit more water than X person on the internet, which I believe is one of the primary motivations for many seeking to own something like these.

#34
x_Who_Is_Alpha said on January 10, 2014 at 4:14 a.m.

I dont know if you understand the point of these prints. Since these are original concepts for the game done by artists that have worked on SF they hold more value to the community.

OhYouDontSayThat said on January 10, 2014 at 6:24 a.m.

ono draws good.

#36
Teinted_Gene said on January 10, 2014 at 7:46 a.m.

lol

That's exactly what I did.

#37
JIHADJOE said on January 10, 2014 at 9 a.m.

I know these are pricey, but the important thing is that coming from an official channel you know the artists should be getting their proper share.

Plus, coming from the official source these are likely printed from a much higher resolution than anything you can get off of the internet.

Xykes said on January 10, 2014 at 10:03 a.m.

I've always loved that first Chun Li drawing.

#39
FlynnChop said on January 10, 2014 at 10:29 a.m.

You mean an un-framed Kinko's print of Chun Li and Guile isn't worth 200 dollars? Would it change your mind to know that a giant, overworked troll breathed air in its vicinity?

No?

Huh. Can't please everybody I guess.

GiBGUN said on January 10, 2014 at 10:56 a.m.

I met Ono outside Boston Pizza once. Funny guy

#41
chipndip said on January 10, 2014 at 11:18 a.m.

That's the thing: People mix business with feelings too often. Some people legitimately hate the guy and want him out of a job for how he works, when they don't realize that he's still a person. A lot of people are nice, decent (enough) people, but dat Capcom hate...>_>

panzninja said on January 10, 2014 at 6:31 p.m.

Saw this and i thought sweet i have a nice set of signed marvel prints these would look great on the same wall. Then i saw the price and for the same number of signed prints IT COSTS MORE THAN MY WALL.

courte said on January 11, 2014 at 12:09 a.m.

sakura has sure got a lot of leg

#44
courte said on January 11, 2014 at 12:20 a.m.

also, why would anyone buy any of these if you own any of the artbooks? at best/worst you can get one of these blown up custom for far less i assume. cray dinosaur capcom think's it's fine art. i mean the art is quite fine, but fine art?

#45
Malkathius said on January 11, 2014 at 5:31 a.m.

Why would I want something signed by Ono?
AKIMAN's signature is much more valuable, he has skill.
