Posted by Nicholas 'MajinTenshinhan' Taylor • January 4, 2014 at 8:50 a.m. PST

Famed video maker and online warrior LiangHuBBB is gearing up to head to EVO this year. In pursuit of that, he's uploaded a video entitled "Training for EVO 2K14", showing his endeavours to level up ahead of the massive event taking place this summer.

He notes in the video comments that he will be playing Ultra Street Fighter 4 using Guile, and Injustice: Gods Among Us using Deathstroke.

Hit the jump for the video.

We wish LiangHuBBB luck in his endeavours to improve his game, and hope to see him in action at EVO 2014.

He'll make a splash like a Magikarp...
Then evolve into a Gyarados.

He will have as much an impact as I will have.

I see an article error
" he will be playing Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition v2012 using Guile"

MajinTenshinhan

need to fix this as
"he will be playing Ultra Street Fighter 4 using Guile"

I never understood that. Magikarp, albeit a retard, Is not an edible fish. His survival rate is amazing! why he always got 30 hp QQ

I know people are gonna be negative about this but anything can happen at Evo. Even if he doesn't do well, it's all good experience. Good luck to him I say.

I wonder if Desk will ever go to EVO. Or did he go last time and lose before I got to see him?

#6
Existent said on January 4, 2014 at 9:26 a.m.

I think he did. He's not competitive and he was the first to state it.

It will be a experience that's for sure regardless of result

No. It is not certain to whether or not the game will be out in time for Evo.

I'll be rooting for you buddy, keep it up with the training, and we will have the best Guile version yet on the SF4 series in Ultra. (^_-)

Actually Davison was right. There isn't a guarantee that USF4 will make it.

Wouldn't it be nice if he could practice on the game being played at EVO? You know....Ultra SF4. Capcom knows we hold this event every year, and this is the second time in this games life cycle that they released an update a month before competition.

bls123pop said on January 4, 2014 at 11:46 a.m.

Good luck to him, but he's gonna have to practice offline timing and playing in an offline enviroment [People watching, Live critique] and start playing other people offline, like now.

exspes said on January 4, 2014 at 11:55 a.m.

EVO 2011 was by far the hypest EVO of SF4 in my opinion

#21
calicasey said on January 4, 2014 at 12:02 p.m.

I agree man it was hype, think of how much better it would of been if we had equal practice time.

1 Month should be enough time for Ultra, I mean they snuck injustice in when it was like 1-3 months old right? That was a brand new game.

Didn't Desk get second place in Melee last EVO with the Ice Climbers?

I could be wrong but I believe that was wobbles or something like that...

Good luck to lian tho surprised he isn't gonna play Ken with the supposed buffs hell be getting

RedRapperSux said on January 4, 2014 at 12:59 p.m.

I don't see him stacking up to people with tournament experience.

He better not cry when he loses. We all know what he does when he gets a few hate messages. Man up Liang!

It's already been announced as a June console release and evo is going to use ultra.

llSilkCutll said on January 4, 2014 at 1:28 p.m.

He is a good player, really good. But TBH he is not on par with the top players. Thing is he needs to play top players offline. I'm not saying he isn't good enough, just needs to play the top players to see where he really is and where needs to improve!

Super_Shoto_Fighter_4 said on January 4, 2014 at 1:57 p.m.

There are too many killers in AE. He'll be lucky to make it out of pools.

#32
wayofBushinRyu said on January 4, 2014 at 2:20 p.m.

Sorry but I don't think so. Online warriors always get blown up early. Just look at Capcom Cup. The online warriors were eliminated quick.

#33
Chris_P_Links said on January 4, 2014 at 2:39 p.m.

Jeez People its not like he said he is going to win on his description he says he doesn't plan to make it far as an online warrior he just wants to meet new people and compete...people should read before negativity rains

Not sure why this is news, but hopefully his performance will be worthy (one way or another) of being put in one of his vids.

#37
rudiano said on January 4, 2014 at 3:39 p.m.

lol if an online average like myself can beat his Blanka/Guile then he will make 0 impact at EVO. Im was surprised this is even a headline on this site lol sure his montages are great...but to advertise him attending EVO is pretty damn ridiculous

#38
YoraiDragon said on January 4, 2014 at 3:39 p.m.

Let's go Lianghuuuuu!!!!!!!!!! But I'm sorry, Gandhi's gonna take EVO 2014! *Kappa*

Didn't realise Guiles EX Flash Kick did that much chip :s

#41
TheTHCGamer said on January 4, 2014 at 4:38 p.m.

Thing is his video is training for EVO so it makes to state he's attending EVO and I don't really think its advertising his appearance at EVO like he's going to win it all. Besides top level players have lost to online warriors but that's online it doesn't hold weight offline especially at a tournament like EVO.

#42
PijamaLlama said on January 4, 2014 at 5:09 p.m.

I hope to see a lot of sunglasses action. Would be great if he put sunglasses on with one hand at the same time as Guile does on screen.

Wow you guys really like to suck this guy's D don't you? Who even cares? If he goes he goes, if he doesn't he doesn't. Good luck to him of course, but this isn't worth a news story AT ALL.

Every time I think of offline versus online I think of Whitegun at Canada Cup.

I need to start going to evo so I can cause an uproar. I would where a cool mask and enter as "shadow fighter" and all my responses would be....hmph!!!
