Street Fighter: Puzzle Spirits released today for Android devices in Japan

Posted by Cheng Kai 'KarbyP' Sim • December 9, 2014 at 10:36 a.m. PST

Street Fighter: Puzzle Spirits, a Puzzle & Dragons-esque smartphone mobile game spin-off of Capcom's fighting game franchise, has launched today for Android users in Japan.

If you're interested in checking out the free-to-play game on your Android device, head over to the Japanese regional Google Play store to see if you might be able to install this on an eligible smartphone or tablet. The app is most likely region-locked, and only compatible with Android devices connected to the Japanese store.

The game is also slated to come out for iOS devices, to be released at some point this year on the Apple iTunes app store. Due to Apple's certification process, which can take up to several weeks, it is usually quite difficult to pinpoint an exact release date for iOS apps.

The sprites kinda remind me of Scribblenauts, hey there's an idea, Capcom Scribblenauts.

Aw I would have loved playing it on ps3 or 4. I want a pocket fighters 2 or super puzzle fighters sequel so bad.

..which makes it even worse.

I own a PS4 and a XBone, but there's no way I'm going to own both an iPhone and an Android.

Let the phone wars begin!!

Guess I need to find an apk then since the store won't let me download it (that should be fine since it's free, right?)

Someone upload the APK please. I still dont understand why there are region locks in Google Store. We're 2014, not 1990.
