Injustice: Gods Among Us

Showing some love to one of the more underrated characters in Injustice, Steve Clarke put together an in-depth guide for The Joker.

Clarke gives a general overview of the character, then proceeds to break down each of The Joker's special moves, shows off effective combo strings, set ups, and much more.

' Continuing with the Injustice tech, RiBBz22 uploaded a slew of Killer Frost videos for anyone looking to level up.

As a quick introduction to these clips, below we have a video that demonstrates optimized punishes from 3/4 screen away using Killer Frost's meter burn Iceberg move.

For much more Killer Frost tech including anti-character strategies, trait combos, and more, be sure to check out the RiBBz22's Test Your Might post.

King of Fighters 13

Persona World, (now known as Persona Entertainment), uploaded the latest in his King of Fighters 13 combo videos.

This compilation focuses on Kyo, and features impressive combos that deal huge damage, stun the opponent, and shows some slick juggles using multiple supers in one go.

Additionally, Olympic Gaming sent us his latest King of Fighters 13 player spotlight featuring a warrior known as KCO|Pedro.

Using a team of EX Iori, Benimaru, and Mr. Karate, Pedro does a great job of exhibiting some fresh techniques, big combos, and more.

Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma / JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle

Mikadok sent us a brand new Blazblue Chrono Phantasma combo video in which he, along with fellow players LordPitaya, j8slim, and UnlimitedArcher, demonstrate numerous hard-hitting combos using Iron Tager, Kokonoe, Azrael, Ragna, Jin, and Hazama.

Mikadok notes that each combo in this video deals 6,000+ damage, and the sequences are organized in ascending order of how much damage they do.

Lastly, with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle being released in North America today, we have a system mechanics/beginner tutorial for you, courtesy of UltraTien.

This guide uses the Japanese version of the game, but explains everything in English via commentary.

Note: Feel free to click the names of each game to visit their respective tiers pages. There, you'll be able to vote on character match ups, see which characters are ranked the highest, view top daily/weekly changes, and more.

Fighting games getting a timed releases as a free PS+ or free XBL Gold game might be a good way to grow the games online player base.... For a while at least.

Oooh a round-up

Definitely getting Skullgirls on PS3 because why not?

Been getting into KOF, so these videos really help.

How is the online connection for that game now?

Still terribad.
If anything, the Steam edition is worth messing with when it comes to online play, from what I hear. Some say it's as good as SF4 netcode.

I think that technically kof's better than sf4's, but since you're more easily affected by lag in kof in the end they're both as good.

Since EH doesn't want to post about mobile FGs (Volt, KoF-i 2012, etc.) I will leave this cool Volt CMV with Akuma here if anyone wants to watch it:

Thanks for the reply.

I wish SNK would work on the console version.

Free? Maybe shave a few more dollars off and I'll consider it.

Are you talking about, SC5? Cause skull girls will be free.

BigFleccs said on April 29, 2014 at 3:24 p.m.

I believe SC5 is free.

Love the roundup of news for these games, guys. How often is this type of thing coming out? I wouldn't think every week, but bi-weekly?

Dreamking23 said on April 29, 2014 at 3:50 p.m.

I would like to get at least one of these going each week. I really want to show some love to some of the other games that don't get nearly as much exposure.

Hopefully we can get some more people sending in tech videos so that we can make this a regular thing :)

I find that it's overall better than SF4 netcode. I also find that you aren't as link dependent and can hold buttons so it's really good. Much better than the console.

Don't listen to the guy that says it's "terribad" he must be on dial-up or something. It uses GGPO and the online play can be lag free more often then other games like SF4.

Did you even read the details? Among the different games, everyone can purchase Soul Calibur 5 for only $9.99 USD (normally $19.99). If you're a PlayStation Plus member, however, you'll get an additional 25% off, meaning you can snag SC5 for only $5.

Because SCV isn't free at all, and the only thing that is free is Skullgirls Encore if your a PS+ Member.

Mikadok said on April 29, 2014 at 7:28 p.m.

Thanks, peeps, for posting this. An addenum, the combo vid has combo for Azrael, Makoto, Kokonoe, and Tager. Ragna, Jin and Hazama don't have combos in this, as it's centered around the aforementioned four.

Zidiane said on April 29, 2014 at 7:55 p.m.

On Skullgirls: This PS+ free period falls in the Squigly, Big Band, and DLC color free period. So getting Skullgirls now will literally make the game in it's entirety, all the characters and voices and colors and stages and story modes that are around now and will come out through the IGG funding, completely free forever.

Great about the Skullgirls Enconre free to PSN Plus users, and about JoJo Bizarre Adventure looks good to come here in America. We need more fighting games that are exclusive from Japan and/or Europe (obviously with official translation).
