Funkp stream is very professionally ran, with good knowledgeable commutators. I can't say that for bifu steam with the ignorant people on the mic.

any madcatz promo codes?

#15
d3rtbag said on September 13, 2013 at 9:46 p.m.

@14

nothing really sad about it...all you've seen was pre-tourney team matches, in a tournament that is the 1st of many to come...even if it is another "typical Big E Event", how much do you really expect to see when all you do is watch a stream? you're a typical viewer that does nothing, but expects everything to be grand for your viewing experience...

#16
Kalio said on September 13, 2013 at 9:47 p.m.

This does look like a typical Big E tourney not that there's anything wrong with that. Lets see what day 2 and 3 have to offer.

#18
nusense said on September 13, 2013 at 9:58 p.m.

@16 It makes the fgc look bad, pre tournament or not. Sponsor logo are splash all over the stream with tfc logo. I'm not saying its a bad tournament, they just need more control over production. Streams like this is not moving the fgc forward, only backwards. At least funkp stream was ran professionally. Maybe that 1 out of 5k stream monster works for a company and is interested in sponsoring tfc next year, you think bifu stream is a good representation of the fgc?

imarvey said on September 14, 2013 at 12:20 a.m.

@16 isn't that why TO's stream in the first place? To show great matches and make it grand for your viewing pleasure? Nobody wants to watch boring ass matches, and its cool if they try and hype it up but at the same time, not every viewer that watches a stream is a wannabe pro that can't make it in a real tourney

#37
chipndip said on September 14, 2013 at 9:03 a.m.

@35, 37: Get used to it. No one *really* gets randomed out in that game, but at the same time, people only stream finals. Thus, we have a constant loop of wanting to see more than J. Wong's constant turtling...and getting nothing but J. Wong's constant turtling. >_>

@10: I love this impression...

#39
TwoDogKnight said on September 14, 2013 at 10:39 a.m.

@38 Exactly. No streamer picking up sfxt pools is aggrevating but unfortunately, the norm these days.

And SFxT surely would have higher viewership than TTT2 and Injustice which are both currently in the 150-400 range.

#40
Sanox said on September 14, 2013 at 11:53 a.m.

godlike. team ninja puts 8k into the pot, team ninja promotes the tourney on their game and they are stuck with the laggiest stream now until semis.

get your tourney promoted IN THE GAME ITSELF and drop the ball so hard on the streaming part.

you would think that by now tourney organizers pay attention to things like venue connection. patehtic really pathetic

#41
nusense said on September 14, 2013 at 12:12 p.m.

@#41 the funny thing is, it's put together by 3 of the east coast so called premier event organizers.(Big E, Shin Blanka, Li Joe\Sweet Johnny Cage) People may hate on Jebaily and Kiets, but at least they have great production and always on schedule. All three stream are lagging so bad right now, Spooky/funky/ bifu. Somebody should of at least stressed test the hard line before the event started.

with doa 5 core being free alot of casuals saw the promotion in the game, giving the tourney alot more exposre than normal. you think any casual player who was excited to see some high level play and just in general does not know that much about fighting game tournaments will ever look for a tourney stream again after seeing this laggy mess.

again a horrible display of the fgc

#44

Anyway I'm just thrilled that my home state (north carolina) is getting to host this tournament even if there are problems.

#46
BlackMasamune said on September 14, 2013 at 2:50 p.m.

Yep, feels like a typical EC tournament, no improvements since 2011. No brackets, no proper overlays, laggy, low video quality, nothing interesting to fill downtime, etc. etc.

#47
Kalio said on September 14, 2013 at 3:06 p.m.

The lag is unbearable. Pack it up TFC. Another so called "EVO Killer" put to rest. Nothing but frauds in the least coast.

Streamers in the east coast need to step up the production. Overlays, promos, transition, player profile, camera work, all looks like ass. Spooky needs to hire people, he can't be one man show anymore.

#52
