I forgot SF X T pools are actually entertaining, with the varying strats and characters. It's the finals that suck the life out of everyone.

#9
mrdrofficer said on September 7, 2013 at 8:56 a.m.

@DevilMaySpy

Nailed it. I also believe a balance patch and a 20 percent turbo speed boost and this game would be very hype.

Well according to the story ssf4 to start at 9pm gmt but I checked for over an hour and neither stream had ssf4. Any results? Had hoped to see sako play.

#22
Clamper said on September 8, 2013 at 5:42 a.m.

It's 9pm GMT-3 just to be clear lol. So what happened yesterday:

SFXT finished, Ryan Hart got 3rd place, Kasugano 2nd, EvilCraa 1st.

UMVC3 got to top 16, KOF XIII to top 24, SSF4 had half the pools played. All end today.

Injustice starts and ends today.

Sako run money matches with around 30 people and didn't lose one. He lost only two matches and played with Ibuki (mainly), Gen and Evil Ryu.

Brazil FGC or South America FGC is really interesting. I am enjoying these matches.

#25
Chrisuchiwa said on September 8, 2013 at 10:44 a.m.

Kane is going wild vs Zero? Come on man!!! You can't do that.

#26
Chrisuchiwa said on September 8, 2013 at 10:55 a.m.

OMG, he just 6-0 KaneBlueRiver????? That Zero player were too tricky! That was the "friest" match I ever seen!

#27
waarth said on September 8, 2013 at 11:20 a.m.

I realize this is a tournament in Brazil, but why is it that there aren't any english speaking announcers?

#28
teufelsdroch said on September 8, 2013 at 11:23 a.m.

b/c it's a tournament in Brazil?

Look, none of these guys can get visas to play in our tournaments. Give them theirs.

Let them speak Portuguese, it's their tournament.

#31
ForTheViolence said on September 8, 2013 at 12:19 p.m.

fun fact for you guys, brazil has the largest japanese population out of japan. so im sure sako feels right at home.

#32
Chrisuchiwa said on September 8, 2013 at 1:03 p.m.

@For the Violence, I am glad there are some people that know a lot of things outside of their country. Are you american? If you are one, that would surprise me.

#36
SquallSaga said on September 8, 2013 at 5:10 p.m.

Sako switching to Gen against E. Ryu !! So he played the match he lost at EVO but reversed, maybe to get it out of his system :P.

Anyway, Sako brings awesome hype as usual !!!

#42
spotlesseden said on September 8, 2013 at 7:38 p.m.

mashing ultra or dp was the only way out because if sako didn't drop the combo, he dies anyway. that was a smart move that evertybody should learn when people are about to finish you off.

congrat to sako qualified for Capcom Cup later this year.

#43
GentleFist said on September 8, 2013 at 7:44 p.m.

So many character changes in GF lol, was pretty hype though

#44
Smorgasboard said on September 8, 2013 at 7:58 p.m.

Good thing, people thought the GF was entertaining, else they would be crying collusion.

#45
SgtKonus said on September 8, 2013 at 8 p.m.

Contrary to popular belief, DPing people during dropped links can be a good idea.

#46
RoanHen said on September 8, 2013 at 9:07 p.m.

One interesting thing is that Linj, that dude who won Marvel doesn't play online because he doesn't have Live Gold and he only pratice playing against CPU and in training mode alone. lol

#47
SameH99 said on September 8, 2013 at 9:24 p.m.

@42 You are a nobody and no one cares about your opinion. You always talk crap about Sagat players like Ryan and others meanwhile you probably think you're better because you win on Xbox Live. Stay salty because you're never going to be on their level.

#48
Eye_of_Orochi said on September 8, 2013 at 9:39 p.m.

Breno <3

Shout outs to Misterio! Good to see some unconventional teams succeed in KOF every once in a while. I love Kim but...

#49
doomfanatiq said on September 8, 2013 at 10:40 p.m.

@49 surpisingly he main sagat lol and likes to crap on ryan a legit tournament player, likes to downplay the character sagat also as though sagat is some low tier character like hawk haha...he probably think he is a better sagat player than ryan in his dreams...

ryan's sagat is legit, cannot say the same for his attitude though but his skill as a player should be respected..credit where it's due second placing is not too bad isn't it ?

Congrats to sako once again putting in a godlike performance and showing his ability to use mutiple characters in high level and win !

#50
EnsignHiro said on September 9, 2013 at 12:51 a.m.

Good job to sako eliminating ryan. No surprise there ... lol.

#51
godfist314 said on September 9, 2013 at 1:02 a.m.

Ryan Hart has a bad attitude?...OK. I do agree with him. As much as I love Evo, it's a crap shoot to see who makes top 8. Man has a dissenting opinion and everyone calls him lazy? Way to go FGC. :(

#52
godfist314 said on September 9, 2013 at 1:03 a.m.

He's been maining sagat since Vanilla. No "tier whoring" here.

#53
JIHADJOE said on September 9, 2013 at 1:22 a.m.

Anyone have the timestamp for SF4 top 8?

#54
Jamal_Troll said on September 9, 2013 at 1:59 a.m.

What happened to the Darkstalker 3 pools?

#55
doomfanatiq said on September 9, 2013 at 2:46 a.m.

@54 hrmm, the one time he got suspended by madcat for bad remarks in twitter after losing to teamate mago i think

maybe he work on his attitude and stop been so salty after losing now but there is no doubt he is a very skilled player with many characters at his disposal.

he even stick with sagat in winners final and lost to sako ibuki(very bad mu for sagat), well, it's a counter picking grand finals though haha..

btw who said he is lazy anyway ? personally i think his opinions are valid since there's so many factors, though it is only a small percentage of the reasons why players make top 8 in evo..

#56
JRXP2011 said on September 9, 2013 at 3:59 a.m.

So they didnt send his "team mate" and Ryan Hart still cant make it happen.

#57
Kaxner said on September 9, 2013 at 6:02 a.m.

@59: How could he make it against Sako? Its not even fair.

#58
Orichalkos said on September 9, 2013 at 6:04 a.m.

Grand final was pretty sick. From Ryan picking Yun right away to counter to Sako answering back with Cammy and Ryan switching to Akuma to take the first set. after that Sako just downloaded his Akuma and Yun using Ibuki which cause Ryan to go back to Sagat and take a game only to fall to Sako in the next game 3-1 for the finish.

#59
mcfizzle said on September 9, 2013 at 7:29 a.m.

Did Otinhoso play in the tournament?
