I would be very grateful to anyone who would thoroughly test Hakan standing Fierce as anti-air. Unless this anti-air is godlike, Hakan will remain bottom tier. He got so few buffs compared to El Fuerte, it's a real pity Capcom doesn't put as much goodwill to fix all characters equally :/.

Agreed. I would also appreciate if Californians appreciate this and answer questions graciously, instead of complaining about the changes and taking this opportunity for granted like a bunch of entitled chimps.

They are doing a second location test in Tokyo this weekend, but I guess you'll have the information directly here and won't need my info this time ^^.

Enjoy testing Ultra, it's really fun, and get ready to face an Elena that is not well adapted yet in the game (a lot of moves will whiff on her) and that has a godlike sweep. Also, beware of Poison and her regular throw that has a range as good as Rose, and maybe the fastest focus ! :P

I would really appreciate it if someone tests out Juri's buffs...
I would go but I work all weekend >.<

Remember that none of the changes are set in stone yet. Don't take these loc tests as gospel when Capcom stated that the reason for the loc test are to see if the community like the changes. If they don't then Capcom will proceed to make more changes! All is NOT lost until the final product next year.

You do realize that your assumption actually makes you kinda racist, right?

Problem is : really few people care about Hakan, because is a very low tier. If nobody plays him during loc test : no feedback, nothing more added. I hope Infiltration, UltraDavid, SamuraiDew, this kind of guys who know the character will play with him in Ultra loc test so that he gets the necessary attention he requires.

I wish that someone test those nerfs on yun...He is already a weak character...more nerfs will make him a bottom tier..there are not many yun players left in the community anyway...

Why is the word "racist" being thrown around in here? I'm starting to think that some people don't even know what it means.

@pip

Are you serious?! "Hakan will remain bottom tier."...Jesus

Hakan is far from being bottom tier. You mentioned Ultradavid...are you aware that Ultradavid believes Hakan is already (!) top 10-15 in the game?! He also said that Hakan is getting far too many buffs because Capcom/people still think he is a bad character...

...you play Hakan and still think he's a "bottom"/"very low tier" character?!

Ultradavid has said before that oiled Hakan is top five. If you're banking on his feedback for buffs then you're gonna be highly disappointed.

He actually said oiled Hakan is the best character in the game: "he is the best character...he's ridiculous!" (from the latest UltraChen episode)

Please, don't spam this topic! Let's just write down requests/answers here!

These are mine requests and they are all related to Hugo:

- Can Hugo link cr.LK (or cr.LP may be?) from Clap and then cancel the cr.LK itself into another special? (cr.Lk into lariat confirmed already). Shortly, can he do a combo like this: Body press-> cr.LK or cr.LP-> light Clap-> cr. LK or cr.LP into Lariat?

- Please try cr.HP's startup and its AA properties. Is this move viable in this game or it is trash like in any other game..?

- Does Ultra 1 connect in combo? Not likely but still it'd better be confirmed. Btw already confirmed that U2 connects after Ultra throw qcb+K)

- Please test range of Ultra throw (qcb+K)

- Does standing HP hit as an overhead and can you link another normal out of it?

- Can you link a normal after st.MP?

- Does clap cause enough block stun so that you can dash forward without being punished by a 3 frame move? Or may be some other way to apply pressure?

IN GENERAL, please find out some combo potential...

Many thanks!

Oiled Hakan is strong, but Hakan is not oiled all game long. Many characters can prevent him from oiling at all. When not oiled, he cannot do anything against most characters if the opponent has a clue. If Hakan was so good, how is it that a top player like Infiltration only uses him against the few characters against whom the match up is not bad (Boxer, Makoto, and above all Dhalsim because of parry) and never ever against anyone else ? The answer is simple : he would be bodied.
Yes, I play Hakan, and yes, he is a very low tier, like T. Hawk. His chances to win are all about gimmicks. If you face someone who has a clue about the match up, you're screwed against 75% of the cast. His main fault is that he has no reliable anti-air, he is jump in free for many characters. If he gets a good anti-air with the standing fierce, then he can become a competitive character, like top 10-15 as you say. That's why I'm asking someone to test this. But he is certainly not top 10 in 2012, that's just false.

Light attacks into clap don't combo and only lights can be cancelled for Hugo in USF4.

2101RYU said on November 29, 2013 at 11:55 a.m.

it's the other way around: he's "low tier" BECAUSE very few people care about him. if more people put in the work, perceptions of him would be a different story.

#30
2101RYU said on November 29, 2013 at 11:56 a.m.

you aren't? the whole point is that this isn't pay to play per game like it was in the japan tests.

There's some important stuff missing in these location tests that should also be tested as soon as possible... You know what I'm talking about, come on Capcom where is the 5th character

#36
Eye_of_Orochi said on November 29, 2013 at 1:01 p.m.

Just look at that other guy that thinks Yun is a weak character. These are the people Capcom gave the chance to be heard about game balance. I hope they never take suggestions from the community again, not even in good faith. Capcom just uses the suggestions to kiss casual players' butts for sales instead of actually balancing the game.

Yun didn't really deserve nerfs, but weak? Do people even know their characters? Any nerfs Yun got were probably a result of the community suggestions since a lot of people wanted him nerfed just for the sheer fact he is top 10-15 material and/or he is a bad match up for them.

#37
Rahavic said on November 29, 2013 at 1:12 p.m.

Exactly, paying that 25 bucks compared to a dollar a game in Japan? Who knows how much money ppl dropped into those cabs over there. This is a hell of a deal IMO. Wish I was in SoCal ;(

#38
I_Are_RaBBiT said on November 29, 2013 at 1:14 p.m.

Yeah I hear that. Hopefully, Capcom will specifically ask to have certain characters tested by the community if they don't feel they have enough feedback on them. I'm sure there's a pro player fan for every character in the game so between Japan loc tests, US loc tests and Euro loc tests I'm sure even low tiers will get a bit feedback! Here's hoping!

colossus said on November 29, 2013 at 1:43 p.m.

I think that this Hugo build is far from finished. Just pay attention how low damaging his moves are... It doesn't make sense to me, compared to the leaked video from Japan here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaSALj...

Just pay attention at the dmg output here. It looks different for me.

mrdrofficer said on November 29, 2013 at 4:52 p.m.

Are you me? You're saying my exact thoughts and people always accuse me of trolling and not knowing my character. Just try it on the other end people! He's not cheap or top. He just has gimmicks. Learn them and, well... game over Hakan. Anti-air would be nice. Buffed inputs for throw/slide/slide follow-up would be nice too. And some better chip damage on slide would be cool too

#41
xShonuffx said on November 30, 2013 at 2:38 a.m.

"entitled chimps" is referencing the stereotype that black people are entitled to things because of their skin color. The term chimp is an even further insult to blacks since its also used derogativly to refer to blacks.

Hence why he was called racist. Easy to pick up if you know your American history and I move for eventhubs to not tolerate it. I'm serious Catalyst. Please give him a strict warning. Thanks.

#42
Mike said on November 30, 2013 at 10:47 a.m.

He only uses him in certain match-ups because Akuma is his main character. If you only rely on gimmicks then you're playing him wrong. He's a grappler. His whole gameplay is to but people in 50/50 situations. That's not gimmicky. He has great meaty setups, great ways to get in, can cancel his focus, good range on his normals, an good air grab, and an air juggle. He's by far the best grappler.
Infil hasn't even used him to full potential and he still bodies people with him.
