PS3 pad is easily the best because it's directional arrows are so precise. Excluding the snap in controller, Xbox D-Pad is fat and it's much harder to DP consistently for people who aren't used to it.

#17
DevilMaySpy said on May 21, 2013 at 10:09 a.m.

YES, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! Xbox realized their mistakes and made a precise D-Pad. I might buy this instead of PS4. That was my main complaint with them.

Xbox one? Xbox one vs PS4? I guess Sony is some steps ahead Microsoft. But I love the ability to change channels speaking.
If Sony can't take a Stick and Xbox one can, then I will buy a Xbox one. I am not ready to go back to play with pads.

Great so far!!!!

These "next-gen" consoles are so ridiculous. They're not even game consoles anymore. Nobody is buying a console to watch television or surf the net.

If I wanted a computer, I'd buy a damn computer.

#29

#30
Lockm said on May 21, 2013 at 10:28 a.m.

This looks like a console that heavily favors the US market. Some of the features announced like connecting with your tv provider an looking up shows and such, that is US only. Even netflix didn't come of the ground in Europe except maybe the UK.

I'm really not interested in a home entertainment system, i'm done with paying for features i don't want or i can't have(US only). Looks to me i'll be getting a PS4.

@ 27 - the controller makes the ps controller look like it's for little girls?

the xbox controller is a horrible excuse for a controller, it's bulky, has too much hard plastic, the buttons aren't pressure sensitive, and THEY REQUIRE YOU TO CHANGE BATTERIES ALL THE F%&#ING TIME if you go wireless along with other flaws

ps3 controller fits in your hand so perfectly, all soft plastics, very fluid button presses, YOU CAN CHARGE IT WITH A COMMON USB INTERFACE

Mike said on May 21, 2013 at 10:50 a.m.

@35 As a fighting game player you should ONLY be playing wired anyway. Only L2/LT and R2/RT are pressure sensitive on both controllers. As for too bulky, Idk if you're a girl or an adult or not but you have small hands. I have average sized hands for a man and the tiny PS3 controller makes my hands cramp up after 10-15 min of play.

AugustAPC said on May 21, 2013 at 11:14 a.m.

Looks like a VCR kinda. I like the television ideas. Maybe I'll actually start watching TV. Halo TV series sounds great! I always loved Halo's story and universe more than I loved the actual games.

They never mentioned anything about an "always online" DRM. Can I play this thing without an internet connection?

#61
BunnyBoy said on May 21, 2013 at 11:16 a.m.

Maaan, that presentation was horrible...

So guess which system I'll be getting last?

#62
Lockm said on May 21, 2013 at 11:17 a.m.

The games will obviousely shown at E3, they announced the TV trash features so they won't have to do it at the E3. Best games will be multiplatform anyway, as will all fighting games. Also like i said befofe XBOXONE is a US centric entertainmentsystem where the rest of the world can't even use the marketed features anyway. That it's not always online is atleast a good thing.

I'll wait till after E3 to see if the XBOXONE might appeal to me, now not so much.

#63
jme said on May 21, 2013 at 11:17 a.m.

I don't wanna believe it, but it looks like you'll need an online connection for this thing to work.

#67
No_Surrender said on May 21, 2013 at 11:20 a.m.

#69
ZenTzen said on May 21, 2013 at 11:25 a.m.

nah gametrailers Geoff after the press conference in an interview they said it wont be always online but that was a pathetic conference, it was all multiplatform and a racing game where the ps4 racing one looked miles better, they said 15 exclusives and how many of those are gonna be kinect games

#70
Remondo02 said on May 21, 2013 at 11:26 a.m.

#72
Spartan_Rambo said on May 21, 2013 at 11:26 a.m.

What the hell was M$ thinking?
Hey lets show voice control is fckin funny for the first three minutes!
Then we can announce exclusive content of one of the best developers of the world EA! The almighty Mass Effect screwing series developers, but look, they show us sports! everyone love the sports specially when each Fifa brings a lot of bugs (like Fifa 10 volley) that they didn't patch.
And...and TV series that everyone will watch for free after release.
Fck yeah are you impressed? the best comes in the end Call of Duty (Bison yes)!!!

#73
TwoDogKnight said on May 21, 2013 at 11:27 a.m.

I wasn't too impressed either. I kinda get tired of the idea that "EVERYTHING HAS TO BE INTEGRATED" shoved down our throats.

-Cell phones don't make good nav units. But it will get the job done in a pinch.
-Bose Wave radios are compact but don't sound as good as component systems.
-XBox One might be able to do a few extra things, but will it do them WELL?

And what about the GAMES?!

#74
Koolbiird said on May 21, 2013 at 11:27 a.m.

I don't think I've seen so many gimmicks in my life. I don't watch TV now so I know this was a waste of time, but I'm hopeful. The XBOX ONE...what a blatant way to say that the Xbox 360 was our biggest mistake and now we'll actually sell you a good product. Whatever...

I don't like all this Cloud Storage talk either. I like my physical games. Games that I can always play even when the servers go down. Oh, well.

#75
PropLeXed said on May 21, 2013 at 11:27 a.m.

All this and nobody is talking about buying new fighting game pads, and or buying new fighting game sticks. I didn't see any front USB ports! Only one in the back for the new kenect.

So now mad catz can release a whole new line of wireless sticks and pads. This just means if ps4 has USB ports it will be the system of choice for tournaments. Xbox just pooped all over its fighting game fans.

You must have an internet connection to pay the fee I'm sure.

It's still in the wrong place.

The triggers are what make it hard to play fighting games on a pad. If they had 4 shoulders and 2 triggers, then it would make it better for all games.
