Lab Zero has crafted more Skullgirls hats for Team Fortress 2 and posted a plethora of images over on Steam. According to the official Skullgirls Facebook page, Lab Zero is asking fans to vote on these items and if they receive enough votes, Valve will allow them to be released as pre-order bonuses.

Below is the status from Skullgirls' Facebook and a few images of the hats from Steam. Be sure to check out Lab Zero's page on Steam for screen shots of even more Team Fortress 2 hats.

Valve has given us the opportunity to release Skullgirls Team Fortress 2 items as pre-order bonuses… but only if you show your support and vote for them!

Any and all items selected will become Genuine-quality pre-order bonuses on all existing and future pre-orders, including those from our wildly successful Indiegogo campaign!

So vote well and spread the word – the more votes we get, the more likely you and your friends are going to get some awesome Skullgirls items!

According to some comments from the staff on the Skullgirls Facebook page we've got a month to try and make this happen.

Spread the word, but don't be annoying dicks about it. Lab Zero could use the money and Skullgirls could use the exposure.

How is crap like Faerie Solitaire and Shoot Many Robots able to get preorder bonuses just fine while Skullgirls, a game that already has a fanbase interested in buying it on Steam, has to jump through hoops like this?

@5 well it's not the size of the SG community but the SG/TF2 overlap. Guess they need to prove their marketability. At least they're not in Divekick's situation, where they have to go through Steam greenlight.

Ahhh TF2. Excellent example of a great balanced game gone completely down the sh!tter to make a few extra bucks on it. GG Valve. Refuse to support this in any form.

So having the game on Xbox basically means I get none?

That's only because Konami is publishing SG.

As much as I want to vote for my girl Painwheel, that BigBand hat is dope as fck.

@13 Well, they're preorder bonuses for a PC game. So no, you probably won't get them unless you specifically preorder the PC version.

And yes, I know TF2 is on Xbox too but it's not updated by Valve anymore due to Microsoft's terrible policies so it has no hats (or basically any features at all).

PowerBeard said on May 11, 2013 at 8:50 p.m.

@19 Well yeah I wasn't gonna make that argument, console TF2 is 10% of the real game.

Probably, but still; first it was "sorry, Valve doesn't have time to implement Leviathan", now they need votes to get anything? I've never seen so much back and forth and weird prerequisites just for some promo hats.

There are already so many promotional items that straight up don't make sense in TF2 and just as many from games that the TF2 community sure as hell couldn't care less about.

Yes tf2 might have been overflown with hats but don't look at this that way. Look at it as a support for skullgirls to sell more and maybe even get some future updates. Sheesh if you don't like tf2 just think about SG.
