Street Fighter 3 Third Strike match - full stage view with non-scrolling camera

Csagets uploaded an interesting video recently that gives us an idea of what a Street Fighter 3 Third Strike match would look like if the entire stage were visible at all times. Ryu takes on Dudley in his own stage and sans a few minor hiccups such as Dudley's intro being a bit cropped and the sprites cutting off a bit whilst in the corner, this actually looks really awesome.

Would you welcome an in-game setting that allowed for the full stage view in Third Strike? Let us know in the comments below.

I think it'd be better to adopt an entire stage view for 2d fighters. It's nicer to see the action in its entire glory. Especially cutting out close ups, zoom outs.

This should be an option in future fighting games, like Smash Bros. fixed camera angle.

God 3S is a really hype fighter to watch

But yeah I dunno about default option but a screenview option like this would be dope.

Makes me miss the incredible music in that game, but I do like the "heroic" art style Capcom went with in SF4, though I think I'm in the minority.

It's cool and all, but not practical useless you have a 50" TV or larger IMO. Otherwise the characters are too small. On a 70" screen this would be sweet.

The best fighting game ever...
The stages are exquisite.

This has made the game seem more fast paced than I'm used too. It really changes the feel when you get a grander perspective.

I'm interested in what MvC2 would look like with this.

KOF can do this already. A few others, too.

it is cool... but no because you don't know how far back you can go backward.

@4: To do this for SFxT stages, you'd need to widescreen TV's side by side to display the full stage.

Very interesting video. Dudley being cut in half LOL

And the "judgment" in the end, I did not know that!

Add this to replay option along with removing HUD if so desired. Works better watching than playing.

I suggested something similar on capcom's forum, I hope they make this an option, this would look cool on a wide screen tv.

thatd be awsome if they made that but people would complain if they did it would be cool to have an option to turn it off

I really like it. Not sure about during gameplay since the characters can be quite small, but it would be great for replays. It just adds something i can't put my finger on and makes it more interesting.

Of course though, for games that utilise a wall bounce, it would need to be a corner only mechanic. It looked quite silly seeing those midscreen wall bounces

I always thought those ladies during the Judgement were super fine.

Also, the stage is a masterpiece

29, I thought I was going to be the only one to say it, but you beat me to it. This kind of view would negate wall bounces anywhere else onstage but the corners, pretty much taking a big gameplay mechanic out of 3S. As a replay option or in new games yet to be released, sure, but don't add it to any existing titles.
