Damn I really wanted him to be playable. Maybe he is, though, through some unlock in the game. I really want him in an alt of his armor from the Wonder Woman movie from 2008...I think. Whatever year it was, that suit is awesome, with or without helmet.

Why this doesn't surprise me?...Netherrealm better reveal characters, that haven't been leaked/talked over before their official reveal!...i have no hype for characters that are NEARLY confirmed, i'd rather hear about characters that hasn't been mentioned before...

@4,6: I haven't read the latest Injustice issue yet, but it seems to me that if WW can cut off his hand and impale him to the ground while insulting him about becoming the God of Ponies once the Justice League ends all conflict, he's not going to qualify as boss material.

Though, maybe that changes with the latest issue/the in-game story where everybody's at war.

My god I can't wait for this goddamn game to come out! I don't know if Ares will be in the game, but he certainly got jacked by Wonder Woman in the books, she strait up killed him. Hopefully Darksied pops up, he was always a favorite villain. But to be quite honest I have been more than happy with the current roster thus far.

I got a question for all the DC heads. I casually read a few hellblazer comics before, is Constantine considered to share the same reality as superman and batman? or do those books take place in a different universe. I dont expect him to be in these games, mostly cause there are so many other fan favorites ahead of the line, but I just want to know if it'd be techniquely possible.

@15 Yes, Constantine is part of the New 52 DC Universe. In fact, he's basically the leader of Justice League Dark which includes him, Madame Xanadu, Zatanna, Deadman, Frankenstein, Black Orchid, and others.

Yeah they share the same universe, but he's considered in the DC Dark Universe along with all the supernatural characters like Dead Man, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Spectre and others. They don't cross paths too often, but they do from time to time.

So, theres still two more characters left (supposing theres only 24 on the main roster), and let's say Raven is indeed in the villain side (which I highly doubt). Who are the last 2 characters? Ares helmet was revealed to be part of the XBox avatar costumes, so I can't see them doing that and then not having Ares in the game. So if Ares is indeed the last of the villains (that makes 12 villains IF Raven is part of them, which again, I doubt), that leaves 1 more slot open in the heroes side. Martian Manhunter? Who's said to be a dlc but to me he's just way too important to leave him out of the main roster. Or maybe Dr. Fate? The inclusion of Doomsday now opens the possibility of more "stage characters" to also be playable, though Doomsday might be an exception since he's been cloned so many times.

Edit: And I almost forget for the villain side it could also be LOBO, since even Boon haven't declined him being in the roster, and most of the time when people ask him for a character, he usually replies with something to let everybody know X character is not gonna appear. And like I said, this hasn't been the case with LOBO. And it would also make sense to include both LOBO and Ares because I really believe Raven is staying in the heroes side.

On a serious note I think the roster is shaping up pretty nicely. I think either Captain Cold or Killer Frost will be next along with Ares. Still holding out for Martian Manhunter and Amazo who will probably be DLC :(

#47 Because Supergirl, Batgirl, Kid Flash and General Zod are a bunch of nobodies compared to Black Adam and Siniestro. Both Black Adam and Siniestro are the biggest villains for Captn. Marvel/Shazam and Green Lantern respectively. And also, both are some of DC's biggest villain, and Black Adam is among DC's most powerful villains, who also happened to beat the crap out of both Superman and Captn. Marvel at the same time, and it took Superman and Captn. marvel to fight him together to finally beat him, something none of the 4 you mentioned has ever done. If anything, Bizarro would be the go to guy for a Superman's clone, not Zod.

I'll just say this about the "OMG he's the same as Shazam", nobody complaints about Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Sean, Dan, Sakura, Sagat (and this is just Shoto, not even mentioning Guile/Charlie/Remy, etc.), so don't come and raise questions without even seeing some gameplay first, besides, is just one character, who happens to be one of DC's biggest names. So if you wanna complaint about 1 character being similar (again without even seeing gameplay first), while every other character in the game is unique (unlike most other fighting games), you should just shoot yourself.

Well he may have a different move set. Doesn't mean that he'll play like Shazam. I think his move set will be quite different. It looks like it in screen shot #2 (lower left) Don't remember Shazam having emperor Palpatine's lighting strike attack.

On topic: The game is pretty much looking really good. Apart from Lobo and Martian Manhunter being future DLC the game doesn't need anything else to get me. *Pre-ordered* :).

Hey man, if you like your heroes looking straight out of 1992 super hero movie flicks more power to you. These costumes are overly ornate, they shouldve adhered to the iconic look of the characters, why does supermans boots have more detail in them than the entire traditional superman costume.

You mean those silly ass tights and bright colors that they usually wear? Now that would look ridiculous in a gritty game. I'm glad that giving these costumes a more practical feel to them. It's an alternate universe anyhow so the redesigned costumes are totally justified.

#52 Dan is a copy of Ryo's move list and Robert's looks as Capcom felt SNK stole Ryo's looks and name from Ryu. So he's a copy of a copy, but the thing to take away from it is that he's not a shoto. It's KOF's version of Karate.

#66 The character is a copy, of a copy, of Ryu, which still makes him a copy of Ryu. The character uses every single shoto move, with an exception of the tatsumaki. Point is, is still a copy of another SF character, just like several others. And the main fact remains true, SF has a huge number of cloned characters, from their appearance and more importantly their moves, and nobody says jack about it. So again, anyone that complains about Injustice for a single character, while there's not even a 10 second gameplay video to make their assumptions correct, should shoot him/herself. Specially when you consider that almost every fighting game in existence, has a single or multiple characters, that have minor variations of another character already in the game.

Not disputing that. Capcom is famous copying and pasting move lists while people yell at NR for pallet swapping for more characters even though they play completely differently. Gotta love that Capcom bias. I was just nerding out a little.
