I said "under development" few days ago. We are changing & considering platform strategy. That's why we don't say anything.Thx RT@koalliance

pretty hype for this. I don'y play 3d but I love street fighter and tekken characters are pretty cool. Maybe this is the little push I need to break into the 3d realm. It might be that I just haven't given 3d a chance.
2015: The Year of the Iron Street Fighting.
My wallet is ready, if there aren't too many crappy conditions for whatever console we get it on.
Here's to hoping that Harada keeps NamcoBandai in check, and they don't spam us with DLC.
It would be wise to wait for PS4. There's nothing about it that makes me say "I NEED THIS ON DAY 1" besides the possibility of Grand Theft Auto 5. Deep Down doesn't interest me at all, and Tekken X SF would likely sell poorly on current gen systems due to people saving for the PS4, and the realization that their PS3 equipment isn't compatible with it.
I'm just curious to see how the shoryuken will work on a 3D plane.
I hope they transition the SF characters into 3D well. The other 3D street fighter games were not very good @_@. They would sell more if they did choose to wait for the PS4.

It needs to be on CURRENT GEN no matter what.
You dont bypass that potential HUGE customer base. You just dont.
Also Agree with 2, its far from needed right now with 2013 blowing up.
Tekken x Street Fighter on PS4? Harada, you're a genius!
Oh yeah, I hope it plays similar to Street Fighter EX. Harada's going to have to do something about Super meter for SF characters, and that series made the best use of it in my opinion. The combo system was great, and Supers canceling into other Supers would be perfect for disrespectful style points.
The supers will probably transition into unblockable attacks in the tekken world, those attacks that charge up for a bit and do massive damage. Like a metsu hadoken can be equated to jinpachi's projectile etc.
Katsuhira Harada-San take your time. I can always count on your for consumers satisfaction. I'm already certain that this is going to be another of your master piece. Unlike, the guys at you know where, and you know who! I honestly can set my standards on high and know what the outcome is going to be. Once again, thank you for always keeping it "REAL"!
I'm kinda hyped for this game, but remember Namco is also working on the new Smash Bros game. Hopefully its more competitive. Hopefully they release Tekken x SF for current gen.
It wouldn't surprise if Sony was the ones responsible for this. Why would you release a game on the PS3 when the PS4 can't play it? May as well make it a next gen title if you're still this early into production.
i had been convinced that this game was not going to happen, but if we do eventually get it i hope its for the next gen consoles.
Looking at how other recent fighters have sold at retail lately, I honestly have to wonder whether the 150m+ current-gen install base really matters as far as fighting games are concerned. It sure doesn't look like they're flying off shelves.
But on the other hand, the lack of BC, all the cross-gen releases announced, and prices that are sure to be much higher will keep PS4/NextBox sales down for a while. I don't expect either to do much better than the Wii U's early days when both are going to come out at the same time and cannibalize each other.
I think it's going to end up being a cross-gen title, like Watch Dogs or Assassin's Creed IV.
this is just plain embarrassing after all the promises he made to release it for current gen!...let me tell you this if you'l release this game as next-gen exclusive only i won't BUY it no matter how much i wanted it before!...granted mr. Harada!...the only apalogy i will take from you if you're going to release it for PC as well, as Xbox 360 and PC are currently two platforms i have at this moment! i just have NO money to buy next gen console!...so f*ck you! and thanks for making me wait so much for TxSF news just for this huge let down!
Im not sure ANY next gen will sell well, they need to cost less than 399
AND
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
NEED TO WORK WITH OLD ACCESSORIES, i.e. CONTROLLERS/PADS/STICKS
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not looking forward to having ANY MORE old pads and controllers/sticks laying around and being forced to buy new ones at the same time.
i love that about Harada taking his sweet time, he can take all the time he needs like Devdan #12 said today we have so many good fighting games to choose from it could last us a long time, @ bumblebeecody correct me if im wrong but isn't Sony partly-responsible for what happened to SFxT being hated among the fgc
I can understand this stance, but thing is they may be passing up the current gen install base. Honestly, I don't see a large volume of people upgrading to the next gen from the outset. I only have plans to get a Wii U, but not before the console begins to show promise, so I don't see myself making that purchase till at least 2014.
Translation: Wait at least another 5 years when the PS4 has sold enough units to guarantee sales of TxSF.
@illness690 #5 - Its annoying me because I can't find it anymore, but ages ago when Harada announced Tekken X Street Fighter, there was a video of Heihachi doing a shoryuken. At first it looked weird (probably because it was Heihachi performing the move) but then it looked right; as in this is what it should/would look like in 3D. It was released shortly after those pictures of what Ryu may look like in 3D when he was wearing Paul Phoenix's red clothes.
I knew this was going to happen and everyone laughed at me in the forums and called me crazy when I predicted this. It seems that fighting games are released one year after they are announced and Tekken games usually come to arcade before console. So, I knew that TxSF was going to come out in mid 2015. They would have to had announced TxSF in Nov 2012 to make the Holiday 2013 but TTT2 had just came out so I knew no new Tekken game would be announced.
I think they should make either TxSF on current gen console or release it on both current and next gen console. Only the seriously hardcore fans are asking for a new console. Most average and console gamers I knew said that they are ok with the current gen, say there are a lot more games that they have not played, and will not buy the next gen console for sometime. It is a foolish decision to go for next gen console but due to the delay they have no choice.
They made it hype for ps3/360. Putting it anywhere else will be a kick in the nutts. And they'll sell a lot less seeing as how a lot of people just won't buy a 1000$ video game console now. Let alone in the future, the world is already falling apart as it is. Nobody can afford anything.
I'd agree with putting it on both. That couldn't hurt. Putting it on next gen alone wouldn't make it much of a "mirror counterpart" to sfxtk like they wanted
Bad idea to wait for next Gen. Next Gen is way too iffy and uncertain to commit to at the moment. Not until we know just how bad they plan to rip off consumers, with anti used game policies, always having to be online, DLC passes, never mind hardware launch issues.
Plus, Tourny friendly consoles are probably not on Sony and Mircrosoft's list of concerns.
But there are also so many Fighting games out now, and more coming, it's risky to announce anything. Could be a good to wait and see how the genre balances out after EVO, and see who's left standing and what's on the Horizon.
@43 Ps4 doesn't have to be always online to play games, now maybe with the gaikai service you do but only for ps1-3 games I cant comment on the xbox, anwyays I just wanna see what it looks like I am playing a load of fighters right now but I dont mind more.
@5
I don't know if you actually play the Tekken games or not but Bruce Irvin has a Shoryuken. I imagine it would look like his but more extravagant, or something.
To those who are wondering what Shoryuken will look like on Tekken:

(I assume the devs were testing the move on TTT2)
@42 Too bad, stay in the past forever then.
Why does everyone think their stuff is supposed to work on every generation on console ever made?
How can pad/stick makers stay in business if they only sell you one product.... Ever!
Why did you spend $159.99? To use it for four+ years on your current gen I suppose!
While I too would like my current stuff to work on the next gen, I'll understand if it doesn't. Drop the entitlement act kids.
You all want the next gen at a comfy $400.00 or less price tag, then you might lose some backwards compatibility to get it.
Besides, your old equipment doesn't disintegrate because you bought a new product. Use your old stuff to play your old games.
Drop it on this gen, it would be a great way to wrap things up.
i would say xmass time next year.
People expecting sfex3 don't make me laugh man. That game was fun but this game should have more depth/ more moves i'm looking forward to the sf characters they'll have more stuff derived from actual fighting styles I'd prefer it if they removed ryu's hadouken or made it really bad (easy to sidestep) and focused on extending his moveset give zangief some multi parts that would be awesome too. King is still the best grappler i've ever seen in any fighter period.
Well, at least there was info for TXSF since there wasn't much in awhile. Even if TXSF decides to go for next-gen consoles, if the game was only release for next-gen consoles and not on current consoles too. There is a good chance that TXSF will not make good sales, even when comes to certain people that won't just buy the new console.
That would be better for tekken x street fighter that way the ps4 can sell more not to mention I like to see if they would make a marvel vs capcom 4 simply because of the new dante and vergil from dmc, asura, and ryu but capcom need to give ryu his satsi no hadu transformation and his denjin transformation from ultimate marvel vs capcom 3..
I was just thinking about this game yesterday. I was like what happened to TK x SF lol. I'm glad to here some sort of news. I few years ago I thought it was a lock it was coming out in 2013. Now it seems highly unlikely, with the announcement of the PS4 and new XBOX I don't even know what console it will be for.....
At first, this somewhat worried me, as I'm very much looking forward to this game and I intended to sit the next console war out for as long as possible. I'm also not a fan of no backwards compatibility, like many folks here.
However, after thinking about it logically, it really does seem sensible to put a big budget title on a system that is just starting rather than one that will be considered inferior by its own makers. With the PS2, Sony seemed absolutely upset that it was still outselling the PS3. Production of the console came to an absolute halt and backwards compatibility was completely removed from newer versions of the console. If Namco puts their new game on that and Sony does that again, they'll have a quickly shrinking audience.
Also, it comes to my mind that backwards compatibility really is something we take for granted. There was none of that in the NES/SNES/64 and Gensis/32X/Dreamcast era. We were kind of spoiled by the PS2 being able to play every PS1 game. No one else really did that until much later.
@63
PS3 came out 7 years ago. Why is it crap that they want to sell a new system? You sound like a freaking penny pinching cheapskate.
@64
PS2 sales and production most certainly did NOT abruptly stop. And they produced ps2 games for 10 years if I'm not mistaken! Very good on their part.
X-Box on the other hand. Production stopped so fast your head would spin.
Also, I agree. Backwards compatibility is taken for granted. And now this expectation is being extended to peripherals!?! Really? Lmao.
Haven't you needed an adapter in every prior generation?
I'm telling you guys, if you beat every dollar out of these companies in the next gen you can just hand gaming over to the apple/android marketplace.
Whatever, I have plenty of fighting games to keep me occupied right now. This gen? Next gen? Never? Don't care.
I don't plan to buy a PS4 anytime soon, but that will depend on what titles come out for it and how much they try to screw customers. Usually when Sony releases a new gaming system they don't start with a very impressive library of games (eg., PS3 & PS Vita). I doubt the PS4 will be any different. We shall see.
@66
There is no such thing as looking at the big picture here. Might as well just say "fvck it" lol
I don't plan on upgrading consoles until something like SF5 comes out, so I hope this is on the current gen. I don't do 3D all that competitively, but I'm happy to have this around to durdle and button mash on :)
Doesn't Tekken games usually comes out for arcade first before consoles at least 6 months?
Even with any platform evaluation, I doubt that they are going to let their Tekken Net not have a new game in 2015.
i'm betting and hoping it makes it to the next gen console~
tekken x street fighter with ps4 graphics would be spectacular~
i would find it odd though, sfxt on ps3 and txsf on ps4 :\
personally im hoping this will be a good excuse to create something we havent seen before.
@71
TBH, I don't understand why they can't have current AND next gen versions of the game. I know I may be going apples and oranges with this, but if SFA2 could actually work on the SNES, I have no idea why a PS4/720 fighter couldn't work on PS360.
That's too bad. Looks like I wont get to play this when it is released because you better believe I am not shilling out 400-500 dollars for a new system when I have plenty of games to play on the current gen. Maybe in a couple years when the price is reasonable.
I don't know about sf in 3D definitely gonna be a weird transition for me, doubt I'll buy it but I will hope to play it at a friends house to see what it's saying. Either way I wish the title good luck!
I will only buy a ps4 when a solid sf lands on it but saying that I won't buy it for txsf 3D ain't my thing
