Does anyone think its out of character though for Superman to turn into Zod? Even Red Son doesn't do that.

Kind of angry that Arthur lost to Half, but seen it coming. Really enjoyed the Flash fight.

@2 Yea, big surprise there buddy. Popularity contest battle continues on to the end. Spoiler Alert- Batman and Superman in the Final match. In all honesty though, the matchups this week were somewhat straightforward (for the first time), with an obvious popularity edge being given to Batman over Wonderwoman.... who realistically could make a stump out of Batman.

Also some of these alts have different intros and outros than the primary costume. And that's the CW Arrow Skin with the new voice as well.

@10: It's an alternate. Besides looking different, we've seen full Superman gameplay before where his intro is Clark Kent-suit-rip-to-Superman, and his outro is going on patrol in Earth's orbit; in other words, the good ol' Big Blue Boyscout we're expecting.

This one is obviously Superman after going full mad and taking over the world, hence the goon squad at the beginning and his Zod-esque outro.

I believe every other outfit used in these fights are also alternates, though I'm not sure on Green Lantern and Joker.

Green Arrow's alt on display here is actually using the actor from the "Arrow" TV show for his voice, which is neat-o and I hope they expand that to more alts.

This game is looking hilarious with the kinds of things you can do in a stage, also some of the stage transitions.

Also it's nice to see new alts from WW and GA.

Themiskyra looks gorgeous! Also really liking the alts especially Joker's (suprisingly). Really cool how they brought in the Arrow guy to do voice overs for that specific costume, but with A. the original voice actors battle noises still in, it sounds wierd, and B. the VA doesnt seem to be getting into the roll. Very monotone, very bland.

These fights are proof that the hazards should be left in competitively.

3 new stages revealed - some alternate costumes?!?!?! Really looking forward to this game. That superman fight was over way to quick compared to the other fights. Although I can see that maybe they thought we'd seen enough of GA.

Aquaman really impresses me.

How could you possibly be judging Hawkgirl and Sinestro? We've seen like two minutes of footage of both of them combined. Same with Deathstroke for that matter.

Ya but I think hawkgirl's flight mechanic is unparalleled in the cast so far. I also believe sinestro's gadgets are the most useful out of the ones we've seen. Deathstroke looks really good because he has keep with guns and rushdown with his sword.

Voting for Supes/Arrow must have been waaaaay lopsided. That wasn;t even a fight. Either Superman is strong as hell or Arrow has little health.
And can anyone tell me what's that other dimension in the Fortress of Solitude? Seems like I remember Superman trapping someone in that mirror/dimension place, but can't recall.

Razberry, Isn't it reffered to 'the Phantom Zone'? It was depicted several times in Smallville.

I think it's way too early to judge/rank based on what we've seen. Although from what I've seen the faster characters have potential even the gadget ranged characters too.

I don't like the alternate costumes at all except WW and Superman. I'm liking the new stages. I also thought that changing intros/outros are really cool.

Aquaman looks like such a crappy character. I'm sure you can just throw him out of that water shield nonsense.

Only Super and WW, the others have a very simple alternate costumes, Aquaman with the little beard, Flash and Green Lantern with protruding armors.

@25, 28: That is indeed the Phantom Zone, a dimension of seemingly infinite space where Kryptonians put monsters and criminals as a prison, encasing them in those "mirrors."

However, I'm not sure on the monster that gets unleashed during that transition. I'm currently assuming it's a generic monster of some sort, maybe Apokolyptian.

Nice to see some new costumes but who was really surprised with the outcomes? I mean Supes, Bats, WW are the "big 3" of the JLA and GL is no doubt the most popular member behind those 3.

I knew Green Arrow would never be as popular as blue-suited Marty Stu, but I voted for Oliver just in case something miraculous happened. Unsurprisingly, it didn't.

BTW there's a good marketing strategy the people at NR are implementing here. Be one of the first 5000 to cast your vote and they will -supposedly- send you an e-mail with a code to claim, either an avatar and theme of the character, or an alternate costume when the game comes out. That's a brilliant way to make people get involved with this.

It is no secret that Batman and Superman will fight in the finals... The question is, which will win this popularity contest? (My money is on Batman).

These arena battle have gotten MUCH better as this event has gone on. I was pretty excited watching them.

Though it seemed like they phoned in the Superman/Arrow battle when compared to the others lol.

Superman was on some Bison level sh@t with that "kneel before me" line.

Ares is in. I just read the injustice#9 he got hammer by superman and wonder women.

I hope we don't have to watch all these long transitions between parts of stages over and over and over and over every match. I really don't like all the stage interactivity and camera angle changes (not sure if that's just for the videos or not).

@22 idk whether I should just laugh at your "tier list" or not. Personally, I dislike people who make up tier lists month(s) before it comes out. I know its your speculation, but still, these are pros playing these characters. Plus your speculation is kinda off. But whatever, its your opinion anyway....

Camera changes are just for the Battle Arena/gameplay trailers.

The Themyscira felt long but with the whole "over and over every match" we see the round 1/2 and breaks between them every match, just picture the transitions as those.

this game looks refreshingly unique. it may not have the smooth depth of a capcom fighter, but having so many alts, intros/outros for them, different VAs, and the level damage actually looking badass and building the stage attacks into combos is pretty sick.

i agree with whoever pointed out the long stage transitions being ok--there is almost no down time between matches, so a long transition is fine.

i'm just wondering--if anyone has demoed this game, what initiates a stage transition? any attack near a wall? a hard attack near a wall? ???

Also, Aquaman vs. Lantern was sick. Aquaman's water barrier is an awesome move.

I must be old, but I can't stand how the screen rotates, zooms, etc. during certain moves.

Didn't like it in SF4 during throws and ultras, either.

Is it just me or does this game have a speed setting? I swear the fights are getting faster every time I see them.

Also, I think it's gonna be Superman vs Doomsday in the GF.

Hopefully the superman fans show up for this, because if Batman wins I'm going to break someone's skull.

O M G ! Flash will be such a combo maker with those slow time meters, that fight was just amazing O_O!

I was expecting more from Aquaman seriously, i think his moveset is kinda meh, for exemple, an ability like Rikuo/Aulbath "Sonic Wave" would perfectly fit on him, since his a Water Type char.

This Batman Alt its 100%MUCH BETTER than the default one, same goes for Flash and Joker.

Stages are perfectly well done 10/10

I'm a little worried about Bane, cuz he seems to be a slower Doomsday version, when Doomsday is awaaaaaaaay much better than him. I'm not really sure... i need more Bane videos for see what is real capable of.
