Ed Boon jumped on Twitter and answered a few questions that deal with both the PC versions of Injustice: Gods Among Us and Mortal Kombat 9. Not entirely ruling out the possibility of a PC version of Injustice, Ed Boon says he's thinking about it. However when asked about Mortal Kombat 9, Ed Boon replied that, "nobody wanted it."
Rron007: Do you have any plans on relasing Injustice on PC?
Ed Boon: Thinking about it.
PhilJWoodward: How come MK9 never made it to PC?
Ed Boon: Because nobody wanted it...#LetThe$hitStormBegin

Via Boon's Twitter.
I would have loved a PC version of MK 9. I would have bought it day 1 for PC if it were availabe, but I got it for the X360, and later received the PS3 version as a gift.
I would have loved to see the community mods, and how we would have fine tuned the engine ourselves.
PC is always my preferred platform for fighting games. The more games that come out there, the better.
Given that Netherrealm use a modified version of the Unreal Engine, it seems plausible that it wouldn't be too much work for them to put together PC versions of either MK or Injustice.
yeah I remember a lot of people asking him about a PC port, I even remember him specifically trolling those people.
oh well, I just can't stand NRS animations and models, and how "floaty" their game physics are. it just feels like nothing has weight in their games
I support my fellow PC fighting game fans efforts to get this game on PC. But I can't say I will be getting it
@6 twitter bomb Noobde, Hecterrific and InjusticeGame about a PC version, and you'll likely get it. Try and get a large group, though it might be tough since most PC FG players are Capcommoners and hate on NRS for no reason.
Also try to convince them to do cross-platform play with PS3 and PC!
If nobody wanting it prevented them from making a PC MK9,
I don't understand where they got the idea to make any MK after like 3.
how come their most popular and best selling franchise isn't more wanted on PC, than those that you just launched/ experiment with? ...i don't understand Boon's logic, he says he considers Injustice for PC, while doesn't even think of porting MK9?? that doesn't make any sense at all!...i don't know what the heck he's thinking, but i think it'd be more tactically clever to release MORE POPULAR franchise on PC, while leaving LESS popular one console exclusive!...is it just me, who sees it'd be more rational thing to do?...because MK9 is obviously much more hyped game, than Injustice!...
LOL Ed Boon trolling as usual. XD He's quickly surpassing Ono in that regard, haha. Anyway, I would've wanted MK9 to come out on PC, but alas it wasn't meant to be. I tweeted him many times too only to be ignored. I also signed the single online petition out there but I don't think the amount of signatures was enough to warrant a release, and it didn't mean anything either. Oh well it's just too bad. If Injustice comes out on PC I'll buy it too day 1.
If pigs fly and NRS considers releasing MK9 for PC I will buy that too, and hopefully the fix the netcode. D:
The fact that it's only in the "thinking about it" stage tells us that it wouldn't come out on PC until 6 months or more after the console version. By then the hype has died and all the flaws are known... it won't do nearly as well as it would with a concurrent release.
Ed Boon would easily have my money if he made injustice for pc as well.
Boon is trolling, look what just appeared on Amazon UK:

Thats right....Mortal Kombat Game of the Year (PC DVD)
@29 nice journalism lol these people do too much ed boon found out quick.
Cant believe Ed boon saying that "nobody asked for it", I saw many people on steam and other forums asking for PC version.
I would have loved to have seen MK9 on PC. The biggest problem was addressed by #1. The PC version doesn't come out at the same time it comes out for every other system.
I imagine that this has something to do with marketing and piracy.
Why get it for PC if you already have it for 360 or PS? Especially since everyone else most likely bought within the first months of sales so the online warriors are established already.
It's just a real shame. There is a huge advantage when I'm playing SF4 on my PC and I can just alt+tab to look up videos, strategy suggestions or skype with people I'm training with.
I would love to see Injustice and MK9 on the PC. I only play games on the PC.
