WTF? Ok now I'm definitely 100% not getting this game. Raven was the only reason I was gonna buy it, but they've completely butchered her. What is up with Netherealms making their women look like men? I don't understand it. And who's bright idea was it to make Raven sound like a shemale? I know I'll get some insults for this, but this is a huge letdown for me. I'm gonna pass on this game. Smh.

Alright, after watching, I think it's obvious she's ending up on the villainous/Superman side, with her demonic blood beginning to take over. Aside from the warped voice, she has a "demonic" mode with different moves that she can seemingly go into at will, as well as her super involving teleporting the victim to Trigon's realm to get demon claw'd and laser'd by Dad himself.

And she looks incredibly fun to play, I think I have my alternate after maining Superman.

I actually like her voice, It has like an evil sorceress kind of vibe to it.

Judging by her super she is definitely under Trigon's influence. That could definitely explain the "tough" voice.

Haha Netherrealm Studios are really clever. They will release Lobo as DLC as they know Lobo wont be a deciding factor for casuals but mainly hardcore DC fans will buy DLC and most hardcore DC fans want Lobo. They did the same with Rain/Kenshi in MK...

I like Ravem but hate the bandwagon people who are getting the game because of that crappy teen titans cartoon and mostly they are anime fans well at least in the bright side of it they will get to learn more about the Dc universe with this game.

@29 Lol hell no what a horrible idea. Its your opinion that this game looks bad, but some of us think this game looks great or at least decent. DC is so American so I doubt they would pick a Japanese company over an American company; plus DC and Netherrealm is own both by WB so no brainier they would ask them after the success of MK9. I bet if they ask Capcom to make this game it will probably look way worse.

I've played DC Universe and I still don't have a clue who these characters are. No matter tho,im getting this game anyway. This Raven looks a lot like my DCU character.

Just finished watching the video. Had to watch it on my phone, cause for some reason GT's video player doesn't work well on my PC.

Her gameplay looks great! Pretty much what I was hoping for. I noticed her skin changes color during gameplay, which was actually something I thought might happen after her debut in the comic with red skin.

Looks like she may be under Trigon's influence to some extent. Hard to say though. Using Trigon in her super doesn't necessarily mean she's corrupted. I was hoping to see her turn into White Raven for her super, but it's still really cool.

I'm so stoked for this game now. Raven's my favorite comic book character of all time. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

I don't plan to buy this game but it looks OK. Raven is a cool character in TT. It's NR so all the women in the game are going to be "butch" by default.

I hope you two are trolling because they've stated several times that a character is either a gadget character or a power character. Gadget characters don't mean they literally use gadgets it just means they don't do things directly such as picking a car up and slamming it on you. They would rather jump off of it or make it explode some other way. It has nothing to do with their powers.

I'm actually very curious as to why they have such a problem making anything remotely female. Mortal Kombat 9 certainly sold well enough that they could hire someone who's actually seen a woman before, right?

her voice is fine. but god she looks just as awful as wonder woman.

catwoman, harley even the women from mk 9 look fine but wonder woman and raven just look bad.

I think it's funny that people are in such fanboy rage that they honestly can't see where others are coming from when they say Ermac vs Mileena. That is exactly what I saw watching the trailer, and this is coming from someone excited to play the game and enjoys MK9.

You can tell that this is a reskined MK game with DC characters. I don't think that is a bad thing, but I love it when people get jumped all over for saying that.

Moves Raven has that Ermac has: A move that slams them to the ground with energy.

An energy move that pushes them away.

Moves Catwoman has that Mileena has: Her U4, that's it.

Maybe I'm missing something...

I was actually hoping for the white Raven that I saw in the slightly older Teen Titans comics. She always looked very cool and controlled, though also kind of old and much more 'mature' than most comic women. Admittedly, I just really liked her hood as I always thought it made her look like a wizard.

This version is, understandably, the newer one, though, and she still seems cool, though somehow a little generic in style. I'll definitely have to see more before making up my mind on it. Also, wowsers, I forgot how much skin Raven's outfit actually reveals! That cape is almost like an afterthought.

And, is it just me, or does it seem to take a heck of a lot of hits to finish a fight in this game? Or do you guys think these characters are just low power?

I'm sorry, but I like women that actually appear feminine. Not like some dude in drag. I have no need to fap to a video game (have plenty of porn for that) but there's nothing wrong with watching a cute/pretty woman kick some butt. Rarely happens in the real world but whatever.

I won't buy the game; but not because of the unattractive women (I bought and play the new MK) but because the gameplay looks too much like just a clone of MK with some interactive stages and flashier super moves.

There is nothing wrong with her voice, it's like Angel's ridiculous scream in TT2. They are both beyond humans and their voices give that feeling. Then again..I actually like Sheeva. :P
