I've already expressed my dislike of articles like these from EH. It either falls on deaf ears or gets met with insults. That's why I've grown tired of even saying anything about it anymore. This is videogame website, videogame communities are male dominated, the fgc is male dominated, so of course all we wanna see is T&A cosplay complete with fake tits. Females will never be catered to on anything videogame related, because they're a massive minority. That's just how this stuff works. It will never be equal, nor will stuff like this ever disappear. It's quite sad really. I don't wanna see a bunch of half naked wannabe cosplayers that don't even play the games they cosplay and I don't wanna see half naked dudes either.

I'm not gay, and male.cosplay doesn't offend me. Here's my problem though. I thought the whole point of cosplay was to dress up as your favorite anime/comicbook/videogame character because it's cool? Who wouldn't wanna portray their favorite character? But since when did cosplay become a mere competition of who can be the sluttiest or sexyist Cammy? Why does everyone have to be in a provocative pose? The whole point of cosplay is do an accurate portrayal of a fictional character right? Sexing up every character you cosplay isn't accurate because most of them aren't like that in whatever they're in. If you're gonna cosplay do it RIGHT. If the character's nature is sexual, then by all means sex it up, but if she isn't, don't force it. It's tasteless. I for one wanna see some badass Akuma/Oni/Evil Ryu/Subzero cosplay. Maybe some I'm and Iori too. In one cosplay article ehubs posted a sick scorpion that had flames coming out of his hands. Post some more stuff like that. REAL cosplay.

Contrary to popular belief, women who actually play games exist in this community, and if you're going to post oversexualized girls, go ahead and throw some good looking guys in too. Eventhubs never posts cosplayers unless their breasts or butts are out, then people wonder why women are treated as sex objects in the FGC. I'm straight and wouldn't mind seeing some Dante cosplayers, or anything other than the errant Ryu and Kens every now and then.

BUT, as crazy as it may sound, stop the press here, illness actually IS right about something. Cosplay nowadays seem to be about who shows more skin instead of who makes the best characterization. Now, is this an issue to discuss in worldwide cosplay communities and forums? Yes, it is. Absolutely. Is it something that should be the center of attention in the VG community, let alone the FGC??? ... no, not exactly. We'd be missing the point if it was.

So, would it be fair if I said that the folks at eventhubs were racist because they didn't post any pictures of black cosplayers? Because that's exactly what these morons are doing, when they call anyone a "homophobe" (dumbest insult on the planet, might I add) that doesn't want to look at male cosplayers.

The same reason why I don't look half naked guys in sexual poses is the exact same reason why I don't look at the lolicon stuff. I find it gross. The LGBT crowd really makes me sick with all of their bullying tactics. But of course, they're so full of themselves they only notice when someone attacks them. Hypocrites.

What he says and I agree with is: it's not bad to post pictures of people cosplaying, but if you're gonna do it, at least post good cosplays, not just photoshopped G-cup breasts or photoshopped statuesque hips and ass.

Please stop complaining about which gender of cosplayers to post and let Eventhubs post what ever they want. Eventhubs is not wrong if they don't post an a male cosplayer for every female cosplay photo they post, that argument does not even make sense no mater what sexual preference you are. Secondly these women dressed up the way they did with their own free will. There are women in the FGC. If THEY don't like the hyper Sexualized character design/cosplay then let THEM come here and post to defend themselves they don't need men to speak for them.

I just wanted to post a silly comment. Didn't think it was going to create this interesting debate.
I think all cosplay is welcome, as long as it's of good quality and good taste. And I don't really think those girls are whores(I just use that word so loosely when goofing around), they are just models - more importantly PEOPLE - doing a job and we don't really know them personally to judge. Tho, I do agree that not only the outfit should match, but also the poses. I doubt Cammy would ever pose like in the first picture, for example.
Also, should clarify that I'd like to see more male cosplays, not necessarily sexy ones, just really cool ones. But in no way I feel left out or offended or whatever because of posts like this. Yes, it'd be nice to have diversity and variety, but not at all I should feel like demanding that.

Why do gays feel the need to demand equality rights whenever they want something to go their way? I see this in virtually every issue, no matter how inconsequential it is. The main reason why, although Illness's point is indeed CORRECT out the ass (c wot aye deed durr?), this, much like MANY topics concerning men and women, is an issue that concerns a double standard. Video games are male dominated. Their creation AND consumption is male dominated. We don't wanna see extra fat girls eating things, or rolling their fat around, or eating things on top of edible things. Also, we don't wanna see men in provocative positions. Good looking women is something I'd advocate any day over something that I'd find otherwise unappealing. Still, don't get me wrong. I'd fking love to see some cosplay that actually...ya know...GET INTO CHARACTER, rather than just posing as one like these ladies. Also, men can be cool too. Where's the "anyone besides girls with big boobs or 'dat ass'" cosplay?

If y'all are gonna post cosplays, the T/A is likely always going to be a factor, but it'd be nice if we could ACT like there's some consideration for people that are not into that. I mean, yeah. It's majority-straight-male, but not ONLY.

And, until people start to realize that more, the FGC is always going to be stinted. When someone asks to be taken into consideration, you don't tell them to get lost because you got what you wanted.

Being gay isn't a cancer in itself. However, I do find that it's both wrong and disgusting for homosexuals to be engaging in homosexual behaviours. I know I do not need to elaborate on the types of behaviours I'm talking about as it's pretty much self-explanatory.
