This is for everyone who says KOF has faggish or ugly character designs which most of the time comes from SF fanboy fags.

SF has a stupid-ass green man-beast. A starved limb stretching tribe member. A jamaican kickboxer who looks gay. A gigantic muay thai fighter that uses more punches than kicks. At least Joe Higashi doesn't have a shoryuken. A good for nothing sumo wrestler. A native american indian who looks like an overgrown 15 year old boy. A red turkish man who bathes in virgin olive oil. Makoto? C'mon.

Characters capcom drew insipration from & resulted in a downright ugly result: c.viper from Vanessa. Vanessa looks way better! el fuerte from Ramon. el fuerte is a joke! sakura from Yuri. Yuri is way better in both design & gameplay! rose from Athena. rose is ridiculous! adon from Hwa Jai. adon is annoying! gouken from Takuma. gouken will never be as good as Takuma.

Think about fanboys. SF has ugly character designs.

Whoa whoa whoa... Adon was in Street Fighter 1 and came a few years before Hwa Jai and both those characters look goofy as all get out. And Makoto is my girl so lay off.

I prefer the character designs that SNK has over KOF (normal sized hands and feet are nice), but I see merits in both (enlarged contact points help you visualize hitboxes a little better). C Viper, T Hawk, and DeeJay are a bit odd, but so are Choi, Lucky Glauber, and King (why is she still crossdressing?). Some of the charcters in both games don't really seem like fighters at first look, but that's fine, because they shoot energy from their hands, I'll let that slide. A Muay Thai fighter using mostly punches? Yeah, there's a lot of close in knees, grapples, elbows, and fists so I'll let that one slide, too.

It's all really a matter of opinion. I like how some of the KOF characters look more real, but I like to laugh when Dhalsim and Blanka's eyes bulge out of their head when an Ultra is about to smash them. (Seeing Makoto's face mid Oroshi before an ultra is pretty hysterical.)

That Mr Karate and Saisyu pic with kid Kyo, Ryo, Yuri and the entire Iori team was adorable.

King has a good design now in KOFXIII. She looks feminine now.

Vanessa is a boxer, why people keep comparing her to Viper? Yeah, the clothes, but that's it. Or maybe their stories/jobs are similar? I honestly don't know Vanessa's story, but the comparison with Viper seems off to me. Kyo and Viper seems more reasonable to me.

@#36 My feelings aren't hurt burnt-ass. I own capcom's fighting games but they are my least favorite. I love fighting games & I try to buy all the ones that get released at retail. Right now every fanboy thinks yoshinori ono is the s**t, but if he were to mess up on SFV capcom would fire his ass faster than you could say hadoken. It could happen. Look at SFxT. It's not that good. I like SCIV & V just as much as KOFXIII.
