Assuring PC users that he's on board with pushing Capcom's products out to their platform specifically, Christian Svensson said that while he can't make promises — if he had his way — PC users won't be left out in the future of fighting games. This is potentially good news for fans of this platform, as Svensson has a good amount of clout within the company. Ross: Why can't the PC Get more of the fighting games?
Svensson: No promises, but if I have my way, PC users will not be left out in the future of fighting games.
Beyond that, I can't provide any details but PC continues to be in our discussions across a variety of genres.
Chris: These digital surveys are a great idea to stay connected to the fans. Another great idea would be to do a survey once every year so that you can know what people want.
Svensson: We will definitely be doing more surveys. I'm very pleased with the feedback and level of information we're getting. Mind you, we have to interpret them through the lens of this being data collected from very core focused, online participating, Capcom knowledgeable fans and not the broader market however there are some really good uses for that subset of data.
Yassar: Just out of curiosity, was an arcade machine considered for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3?
Svensson: The arcade business really only makes sense in Japan and some parts of Asia, and Marvel as a brand (and MvC as a game series) has not historically been as popular there as it has been in the West.
Street Fighter is a much larger opportunity in those markets.
Jonny: I would like Street Fighter III Second Impact to get released.
Svensson: As a stand alone project, it wouldn't make sense and as such, it is unlikely for that to happen.
I hope they can at least try to release SSF4 for Mac OSX (without having to install Windows on it)... :(
@10 You could just get a console. Just a suggestion. If you don't, then you're just gonna have to keep waiting I guess. QQing isn't gonna bring the games to the PC though.
@12 First off, wrong gender. Second, the foolish love to disregard truth and logic. Carry on.
This news make very happy, especially the fact they are dropping gfwl. I really dont want to have to buy the new consoles just a for a decent fighting game experience.
If future PC releases are like the abomination that is SFxT PC, no thanks.
Svensson: The arcade business really only makes sense in Japan and some parts of Asia, and Marvel as a brand (and MvC as a game series) has not historically been as popular there as it has been in the West.
Hold that yankee nuthuggers saying Marvel is/was popular in Japan. Kiddie game for aspies.
@18 No ever said that. It's common knowledge that MVC have never been as popular in Japan as it is in the states. Don't understand what point you're trying to make here.

How stupid can you be to say people are crying?
PC players, just as you do on your beloved console, buy those Capcom games. But those games on PC not only get updated like once in 6 months (SFxT 1.06), but they get bugged updates (all the GFWL issues people had to put up with the whole february) and they STILL don't work (SFxT online is the culprit here, unplayable)!
How's that fair? Why should people not try to have that fixed? If that happened on console wouldn't people be "QQ'ing"?
If your solution for that it's "get a console, loser", then you better just shut up: it's pretty obvious it doesn't concern you, you're adding absolutely nothing to the discussion.
Also: I submitted the news to EH that SFxT PC won't see any fix for its netcode (Sven, via producer Derek, on Capcom Unity) but unless I missed it for some reason it wasn't published.
So yeah, SFxT is dead on PC (and it's still on 1.06) and people got ripped off.
@24
The sad thing about KOF 13 and skull girl the community is going to be really small and won't sell well especially on a pc market
@25 Skull girls has already "sold" over 2k copies of the PC version via their crowd funding drive
and that's before it ever gets to steam, and given that is there really is no game like SG on PC it might do better than you expect
you don't need a huge online community for a 1v1 fighter. its not like we have 30 people in a match. if there are 50 people playing online you can go for hours without fighting the same person twice
@26 2k copies is cool and if all those players stay playing is also cool....for the players. The developers need much more than that to break even.
@23 TL;DR You seem butthurt. Continue to QQ. It's amusing.

Because it has already been re-released as Online Edition?
@23 disregard Illness690, he's a hater, one of the biggest garbage posters on this site.
@34 I prefer the PC version of AE, it loads faster, you can skip the "VS" screen, and it's less laggy. I have the ps3 and pc version i prefer to play on PC. I can alt+tab while playing and just do whatever i want. tons of people play it, I have an easier time finding matches on PC than i do on ps3 lol. Also PC has no input lag. If you play on console you gotta buy an ASUS monitor.
@40 You must also be a PC fanboy. And butthurt as well I presume. It seems that the foolish hate logic and reason on this website. What I am saying though? It's the internet of course. Carry on.
@41 illness690 Actually I cant see hate on this post, except for your pathetic troll comments, most people has exposed good points of view. If you dont like people playing on PC? Carry on.
I think capcom has just made the right changes to get the pc community, DMC has been receiving all DLC on PC at the same time than consoles. GFWL sucks too much that even Microsoft release Age of Empires 2 HD remake on steam, with steamworks and steamworkshop. The only thing left for capcom is to make a bundle of their games on steam, and support steamworkshop for their games.
And for Darkstalkers. On PC I can play this game online a long time ago with mame and kaillera, so I dont care about old games to be re-released on pc.
