This game is going to be amazing! Cant wait to try the story mode. MK9 was brilliant, so i imagine this will be way better

I'm thinking its Black Adam. Shazam still has his red in the Aquaman trailer, which appears to be after the regime takes over. Don't know why he'd change it again.

Maybe, but if Sinestro and Hal are different, I wouldn't be surprised if they were different characters altogether.

Luthor looks pretty cool though. I might have to play as him just for the Bruce Willis factor.

That trailer was very nice, I'm really hyped for the story.

everyone pointing out Black Adam lets not forget that Boon Said that some characters will only be story mode exclusive, so they won't be playable in other modes...just saying...besides like someone else's said it could be just another alt. of Shazam...people seriously do not hype yourselves for this or you'll be more than likely disappointed...

PS2 graphics? You're clueless. The character models may not have the best facial details, but the stages are the most gorgeous in fighting game history, right up there with MK9.

I really don't think Black Adam can shoot lightning through his hands. Although with all that "New 52" garbage they are changing, I'm not so sure any more...

They really haven't defined the Marvel's magic capabilities. They can do all kinds of sh*t. Once Captain Marvel carried his his "Shazam Lightning" until he could blast Black Adam with it causing him to revert into his human form.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Adam do some lightning-esque attacks. I think he used it against a fight with Superboy Prime, but I'd have to go back and find it.

Oh by the way, that's Shazam. One of his alts. You can see his hood and the lightning bolt on his chest when he flips Luthor over.

While true, I wouldn't say people would be more than likely disappointed. Unlike characters like Lois, Weather Wizard, Grodd, Darkseid, etc, I would say that Adam's costume redesign and obvious importance in that scene leads to him probably being playable. Since he isn't using the same attacks as Shazam and you can see Shazam in the trailer as well, I don't think it's an alt costume.

Thought Black Adam was a villain and shoot'd yellow bolts?

at 45 seconds it looks like robin/Red Robin. Probably Tim Drake!

#22 i don't see why would he be playable and important to the story...to me he's exactly like Shazam i see only difference in attire, but we already have Shazam who can shoot lightning bolts, why another character of that sort? doesn't make any sense...if anything then Black Adam would be optional addition as optional DLC, so he wouldn't be on the day one, i personally would hate him being there, because that would mean a waste of important space, that could be reserved for a character with more unique abilities and personality!...i'm willing to believe he's only story-mode exclusive character, which'll later be added to the roster from DLC...

Black Adam alternate, dont believe in Ed, all chars on the cinematic will be playable, they are posted with the new costumes to gain attention,like game magazine reported, we have Sinestro, Shazam, etc, probaly Ares, Raven and Doomsday too, background chars not playable.

It's Shazam in the black costume, not Black Adam. You can see that Lex is in his alt. armor when in the same screen as Shazam and Hawkgirl. So the story should explain why he is wearing black. If I remember correctly there was a trailer with Hal Jordan in a Sinestro Corps attire (but I could be wrong) so I think they just change their outfits later on in the Regime's rule.

Shazam appears with the second costume again, the first time in the Aquaman trailer reveal,i believe Black Adam with the egipcian look, is possible to see snakes naja on costume design.

@25 He's important to the story because he's one of three characters (all three with redesigned costumes, two of which confirmed playable) in a cinematic scene important enough to have its own trailer. Unlike characters like Grodd and Darkseid, he is not in the background of a stage or irregularly sized like Giganta, so its easy to see that he could be playable. I would say alt costume is a possibility, but when Hal got a Sinestro alt, it was just yellow Hal, whereas this seems to be a completely different looking character. The team making this game has never been afraid of similar characters before (MK9's cyborgs, Hal and Sinestro, etc) so the "they both shoot lightning" argument doesn't hold any water. It sounds like the real problem is that you just really don't like Adam and are in denial. If they were going to add him as DLC, why would they wait when they clearly already have a model, attack animations, and a voice for him? Makes no sense.

I hope to see Mogo and Oa as stages. Mogo would be absolutely amazing. There could be tons of constructs that could work as interactables.

I'm not sure of the distinction between Black Adam and Shazam. Aren't they both demi-gods. Strong, fast, use some form of electricy? Even so we need more gameplay from the characters that didn't make the cut in the Battle arena's. At least give us that as well as some juicy teases of the next several reveals.

Remember that this is a different universe, and characters may be different, and not only in aspect. In the second issue of the comicbook, Superman kills Joker without a second thought, something that the mainstream Superman would (most likely)NEVER do. I'm sure to expect many surprises from the story mode, since the comicbook is freaking AWESOME.

I've been reading the comic, but many others haven't. Next time leave the spoilers out of the comments. A lot of people are waiting for the collectors editions or for the complete comic to be finished before reading it.

I don't think it's fair for you or anyone else to ruin what is a really cool story for everyone else.
