Wow the commentary is so bad. So much focus on the commentator's own opinions, not enough focus on the players and what is going on in the match.

poongko is no longer top tier , he should switch to the current top tier: fei, akuma, adon, cammy

Lol, and the first comment is an opinion on how bad the commentary is, not on the matches. Irony anyone?

Great matches! Tokido was just making great reads all the way through.

(and I thought the commentary was great btw. I tend to prefer the fun, watching the game with your buddies kind of commentary with analysis thrown in here and there over the purely analytical style)

The dude makes it to top 8 and you folks have the nerv to talk trash about Poongko? Are you serious? The guy is amazing. Every player in each of these videos are fantastic. No reason to put down any one of them.

@8 check the streams posted on tokkidoblog of topanga TV, all the topanga team: tokkido, mago, bonchan, kazunoko, destroyed him, completely destroyed him

surely if you compare him to the avg 4k of 5k PP online player, he will be great, but he is not competing against those, he is competing against other top tear players and he is loosing

i also kinda think the same now of latif, both of them will never make it back to the top of the ladder ...

Poongko made the mistake at assuming people would be on the same level if he took a break for a year.

Be fair Poongko is using Seth. While damage output is good, damage intake is ridiculous (a total glass canon).

TBH Poongko should switch to Ryu again. He is probably the only other Ryu (along with Daigo) that can compete as a Ryu in the later stages of a tournament, with a chance of winning.

Seth is to much of a risk (50% more risky than Akuma).

@#13 I don't think he need to switch. Just cause he didn't win the tourn doesnt mean he needs to drop his char. If you watch the match where he lost vs Mago, he just dropped loads of combo's and choked at end. At the end of the, most of the time the better player wins rather than the character choice.

That head to head setup was cool. Evo should do the same.

Poongko just looks out of practice. That last match against Gamerbee, missing a basic FADC for his uppercut is just plain ouch.

The thing is that many still remember those days when, if poongko touched you, you were dead. He was just playing without fear... example: at the LG cup, i still remember (and many should) an epic moment when poongko (seth) knocked down fuudo (fei long) in the corner. Fuudo tried to scape with a ex chiken wing but poongko did a meaty shoryu, after that fuudo tried the same again but poongko did a forward dash into another shoryu, then fuudo tried a backdash but another forward dash into shoryu, last fuudo tried a focus backdash and poongko did a forwad dash into shoryu into fadc (following fuudos backdash) into another shoryu into fadc into stomps... and fuudo died... after that, daigo waking at you from half screen away isnt scary.
