Capcom Cup announced featuring 8 best SSF4 AE v2012 and UMvC3 players At the EVO 2013 Street Fighter panel, a Capcom Cup was announced that will feature the 8 best players in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

The first qualifier would be EVO 2013 itself. Capcom said that they don't have the resources to run a tournament like the 25th Anniversary again, and will use the World Cyber Games partnership and Capcom Cup to fill the void.

EVO is all but calling itself Capcom tournament. Picture TriForce and his undying love for Nintendo and now picture EVO's love for Capcom.

@7 There isn't a stream, sadly. And it only started 25 minutes ago, so they should have more, like the super secret video Haunts was working on for the panel.

@2, 7, 8

There may be more. But a fighting game developer directly supporting the tournament scene like that is big news.

Hope the rumors of Hyper Street Fighter 4 are real. We need more then just a balance patch to hold us over t'ill the next big fighting game from Capcom.

They should make it round robin format like Topanga League.

Great news all around. It really comes as no surprise; with reveal of the Capcom Cup. Taking a peek @ Ono' San's Twitter page with his trusty Blanka friend; he spotlighted quite a few of the renowned FGC competitors (i.e. Sako, Daigo, and Justin Wong respectively.)

For those hankering for more substantial news; from Capcom; keep in mind SDCC is lomming...

Wish they put SFxT instead of the trash Mravel but oh well guess they rather have more false hype than actual skill play

@21

It doesn't matter if you think Marvel is trash, the number of players at evo and evo seeding tournaments shows that more people are lined up for it than SFxT. It's even to the point where smaller tournaments are dropping SFxT because they dont have a large enough contestant pool.

Hey we all like talking trash about other games, but when the numbers are double the players in Marvel at this evo compared to SFxT I think its easy to see why Capcom picked two of their most popular and marketable franchises.

If you dont like the outcome, then change it.

Capcom is abandoning SFxT. I hope you guys are happy.

Yeah, SFxT is in too. I guess it's not Capcom that hates SFxT. LOL.

Why does E-Hubs purposely scrub SF X TKN? Change the dang title to include the game, seeing how it's freaking there. =_=
