Injustice: Gods Among Us story mode trailer - possible glimpse at Hawkgirl

IGN has posted a new trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us that is centered around the story mode of the game. We get our first real look at the story as this video provides us with various scenes and battle footage.

Multiple user have pointed out that this trailer also shows a quick glimpse of what appears to be Hawkgirl. At roughly 1:49 in the video, you can see a Thanagarian type character swooping down against Lex Luthor.

Ok not to be the Debbie downer but .....this game looks like its gonna blow.....I mean competitively that is....It looks soooo.....how should I put this....Bad....like mk9 Bad....& I don care what everyone says just because you got some crappy voice acting combined with motion capture & good graphics doesn't make it a good story mode....

yes its Hawkgirl indeed! ...now all we need is Martian Manhunter and Lobo and we've got complete team of Justice League founders!...i'd prefer John Stewart over Hal Jordan to be honest, since he's more modern, but anyway just glad we've got Green Lantern there!...waiting for more female characters! Black Canary, Vixen, Huntress, Killer Frost and Scarlett Witch i hope...

Hal Jordan is an older character, but he's way more relevant in mordern Green Lantern comics. I'd say at this point Hal's more mordern.

Looking good. Hopeful for Martian Manhunter. Would be neat if Swamp Thing, Aquaman and Animal Man from the comic teases Boon did with the Reese's are in. Don't really care for Batwing that much but a Batman Beyond alt would be nice.

I don't think they would've shown her dueling Luthor is she wasn't playable. Besides, Netherrealm likes to keep a little balance between Male & Female fighters, so she has a great chance.

I wonder if story mode just lets you wear meaningless alternates, or if Hal Jordan actually gets a yellow ring.

The implications of Hal wearing yellow on a story level are HUGE.

How much roster space is left if there r supposedly 24 slots...wheres Aquaman n Static..they should make EVERYTHING count in this game like some character intros based off of who u fight n where, the clothes a character has wen fighting, Hal wearing yellow means yellow powers or change the color u want to b, mayb an alternate for Hal being John n other characters recognizing him as John n maybe a Batman Beyond alt for Batman/Nightwing or just a separate "Terry(Batman Beyonds name)" character wit the flight enabled..how bout Captain Atom

John Stewart is not more modern than Hal. Hal has been in every recent JL animation as a main character, was the primary character in 2009's award-winning Blackest Night crossover story arc, and was the main character in the awful GL movie. Stewart was used only in the DCAU JL/JLU to add diversity to the cast; he was well-written and more interesting, but nowhere near as relevant as the original GL Hal Jordan.
