Autumn Games is in the final stages of signing an agreement with Marvelous AQL to fund and publish the PC version of Skullgirls

An update to the current status of the PC version of Skullgirls has been posted over on the official Skullgirls website.

Since we first announced our intention to bring Skullgirls to the PC, people have been clamoring for updates. But I’m ecstatic to report that Autumn Games is in the final stages of signing an agreement with Marvelous AQL to fund and publish the PC version of Skullgirls, and work will begin on the PC version in the coming weeks.

We presented Marvelous with two options: a relatively quick port that would mirror the feature set of the console releases, and a slower port with expanded multiplayer functionality such as lobbies. Marvelous AQL has graciously opted for second option.

Once we begin working on it we expect the project to take around four months to complete. As we get closer to release, we’ll have more information for you about the public beta, what new features you can expect, and much more.

We hope you’re as excited as we are by this new partnership! And, once again, everyone at Lab Zero would like to thank our long-suffering fans for their patience!

Even though I already bought it for Xbox, I would buy it for PC too. Lobbies and the hope of them finally being able to make DLC would get me playing again.

Good stuff! Didn't they also say they were gonna make it to where PS3 and PC owners of this game could play vs one another? If so this is gonna be an awesome way to expand the player base. I hope they see the success they had hoped for in due time.

This is awesome news, I don't mind re-purchasing SG at all (although Microsoft is kinda on my s#!t list) and this'll probably help the player base grow. Good luck lab zero.

On PC, Skullgirls has the potential to go full LOL on people. Free updates and balance patches. By free I mean they don't have to pay Microsoft, not that we won't have to pay. Best wishes.

This is fantastic news. I believe this will prove once and for all that fighters CAN be viable on PC as long as they're done with time and effort.

#8 Sory to say that but they retracted the statement of PC-PS3 crossplay. :( They had problems with connecting the PS3 version with Steam and they don't want to go with Gamespy. It might come but not anytime soon.

Very happy to have a somewhat set release date. ;)

Just as others have said I already have this on PS3 and will be happy to buy this again on PC. Unfortunately there's no physical disc version as I'd like to add that to my collection. But I'll be happy to support any fighters coming to the PC *hint at Harada*
