I've been maining Yoshimitsu, Bob, Paul, Kuma, and Kazuya since the first month of SFxT release. People will call me a bandwagoner now that most of them are really good.

I mained Paul long ago when I was relatively new to the game but I dropped him because I just couldn't do well enough with him (that and I was a scrub at the time). I'm picking him back up but with no idea who to team him up with..

It's good to see him buffed but I sorta like using lesser used characters so I hope there aren't too many burning fists going around.

PAUL's deathfist still doesn't do nearly enough damage, buff that up some more and then we can talk.

So far I like it but the fighting mechanic itself still seems disjointed and still not smooth. Jin did not need buffs in anyway, and some characters received unneeded nerfs. Overall the game is nice.

I've played Paul with Guile as an alt team, he feels great, but now his dmg is a bit too much for all of his priorities. Btw CAPCOM FIX IBUKI!!! NAO!!!.... that is all.

Me too Cab2010, me too. I always go low-tier and now ... I just don't know. My Paul/Kuma team was doing better than ever and I thought, "these changes are great" and now ... of course.

yeah this game plays great, the fast pace, lower health change make the game play more like tekken tag and im loving it so far, i knew capcom would get it right second time around they always do, loving chunjin /lili/juila,

King Paul was my first ever team...And I changed that to Paul Hugo and then Paul Law...

They are really trying to revive this game. I think its done imo the game is just awful Im very surprised ppl still play it. Its almost as bad a game as UMvC3. I hope the new Vampire Savior doesn't flop like this game. This game is done.

Paul is not top tier. He can still easily be rushed down.

This is actually one of the times people saying "I've been playing that character since the beginning" actually seemed true. There were quite a bit Paul players during the time i played. So before the rest of the FGC finds out she's godlike, I've been playing Nina since like week 2. haha.

We all have mained Paul since launch.

Nina is within the top5. I've mained her since day 1 and always knew she was underused and under loved.
Paul is within bottom 10. Even with his buffs, he hasn't shown that much improvement since others have been buffed also. Some a little too much...*cough, Jin cough*....

the system changes of this game are great, but the balance is still awful. paul is nothing, the real op of this game is DUDLEY. everything this character has is safe. another cheap character is lars.

Mike Ross really wants people to like this game.

Before anyone figures it out, I just want you all to know that I've been maining Cole since Infamous.

My Lili/Marduk team will have a little more synergy now that Marduk's crHP is faster.

Nina had some ridiculous things in vanilla. I mained her since day 1 and thought she was too good

I have to agree. I'm not impressed with the balance it still awful.

Paul is indeed strong. But most likely will be top 15.
Now some top tiers imo are Nina,Christie,law,Balrog(in the right hands), and guy.
even though I used Dudley since day 1 when he came I will admit that he is OP. And I will have to accept the fact that he'll more than likely be high tier. I'll be listed on the PR Rog bandwagon for using him.
And does anyone else feel that Chun-Li is a hard character to fight?

NO NO NO! This was supposed to be about us Paul users finally getting the recognition we deserved. WE already knew Paul was the best in the Universe WE struggled day in and day out learning new tech and fancy light shredder into cr. heavy punch combos. All that we have strived for has been blasted in our faces. I remember when seeing another player play Paul meant automatic friend request. NOT ANYMORE. I have mained Paul/Asuka since the game's initial release with a heavy emphasis on EX-less combos and non-ABCs.It took a speed increase and move readjustment for the FGC to finally respect the universe's greatest fighter. To those who truthfully walk this path I say welcome. WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY. And Paul is not Top Tier. He's BEST IN THE UNIVERSE TIER!

King was already good. Had a good anti-air. Just gave him a better one. His knee juggle count for nerfed but the knee's do more damage now.

Overall, he's a much better character.

I don't have the game but I wanna main MegaMan/Cole. Can it work?

Dudley and Paul top tier? Please... I want to see these two face a good Chun Li and let's see where they'll end up. It's still too early to talk about tiers for a newly patched game with roughly 50 characters.

Don't get discouraged because top players said he was Top Tier. If you played with him since day 1 then keep going, let the online people say you're a bandwagon ruffian.

And for the Tier Abusers and bandwagoners...if you want to use him go ahead. You paid for the game, pick anyone you want.

I didn't look at Kazuya's changes but he feels like crap now. Sucks he was the only character I was even remotely decent with.

The game is definitely more fast paced, damage overall is higher. I played online and there are still people playing lame by running the clock, but that doesn't work anymore, since opponent can catch up now and less health recovery.

Eh I don't think most people here who claims they use Paul since the beginning are telling the truth, though I do see some familiar faces who before the patch loves him, and to them I salute. But in all honesty, I seen two Paul users lately in one day. TWO!!!

Whether they want him for the changes, loyalist, or just for tier whoring is anybody's guess.

Lol at everyone who can't accept SFxT has a bit of positive news for a change, get over it, its a legit game, its fun, its not boring to watch, if you don't like it go play marvel or sf4 or w/e, knowans asking you to bitch about sfxt, and knowan goes into marvel streams and starts craping on the game, and you know damn well theres plenty reason to complain about marvel.

i'm really glad that LAW is really good now that his anti-air is so strong. but the online experience is still hurting the game a little bit.

Didn't they all say this before? I remember right before the original release hearing about how amazing this game was and how it was going to be the next Alpha 2 or CvS2 or whatever.

Its good to see how much the patch has shaken things up. Everyone has a different idea about who the new top tier is.

@Rising_Jaguar: I have not played ranked seriously since the summer but if you were to check out the Paul replays (provided that you are on XBL)you would see me come up a few dozen times. Of course screwing up momentum with Paul means you get your butt handed to you but when I am hot I am red hot. I have spent the majority of this past year playing and maining as Paul and I tell you a victory with him comes a long way. I believe that I wrote the book on Paul tech in SFxT that I know I cannot take credit for, but I made a name for myself playing a character who closely resembles Dan and Sean. I am Kijui (pronounced Kee-Wee) and I am a Paul player. Not because he does high damage, but because he is the type of character I like to play......aka psuedo Shotos LOL.....Thank you for reading this if you did (Shoutout to Gurpwnder)

just go over to shoryuken. We have already collected a huge amount of new combos. He is a CH beast and gets 3/4 screen away 400+ meterless combos on CH - with a move that is +3 on block. HK Shredder and Mortar are combo beasts without adding much scaling.

I'm not sure if he is top tier tho. there is still much much to discover, as many characters have new potential. And he has still flaws. (worst a2a game in the game, back dash and back walk are atrocious, forward dash - while quick - still covers no distance, his footsie is sub par since c.mk has 7 frames start up), but he is solid to say the least. Two openings can mean the opponent is dead. He makes a great anchor.

Is saying you played Paul before the update bad?

Because, I played Paul on point and Law because they had a cool intro together and I figured out a few tag in combos with them.

I was trying to avoid him though, since I was interested in playing Bob too, and I didn't want to do two Tekken guys. Want one each.

65 is just forever salty about Capcom giving female chars less health. Definitely remember that "you better not nerf my char's health from 1000" rant from another thread. Wasn't a joke until that health nerf. :P

I am absolutely ecstatic about Paul's buffs.

dudley is good. the range on his close normals are worse than AE but capcom FINALLY got it right and gave him PRIORITY! his hitboxes are soooo clean! i love it.

BUT dud isn't top tier. he has problems vs gief, hugo, marduk,law, and a few others.

imo top 3 in the game by FAR is law, jin and lili. these 3 are on a whole different level compared to the rest of the cast.

@82 Right here, buddy! His crouching LK is still very usable, he can still do his insanely easy and damaging links, tag cancel off Criminal Upper to great effect and combo even better than before thanks to the EX Zonk Knuckle change.

Paul might do a lot of damage, but I think Asuka does even more. She can also get more damage easier than Paul by using meter. I managed to do 500+ meterless with her in the corner, although I started with 2-hit j.HK.

Kazuya for example, is still way better than Paul, so not top tier at all. Sorry, not by a long shot.
