BlazBlue is an awesome game with a fantastic universe so I don't see why people shouldn't care about it.
@1 Although they are much more annoying to listen to, ASW games are much faster, dynamic, balanced and unpredictable than Capcom's or Namco's games. Furthermore, in ASW tourneys, pretty much the entire roster gets picked, meaning more different playstyles to be shown. In short, you get matches that are more varied and more exciting, not matches where one hit equals a win (I'm looking at you UMvC3). At least in these games, the winner isn't decided for the start and comebacks are much more exciting to see than in those games.
I really hope more people get into BB. It's such an awesome game, and the fact that people look over it so much disappoints me.

There will most likely be an Xbox 360 release for BBCP alongside the western release of the PS3 version. The only reason there isn't a Xbox 360 version already is, well, who in Japan actually owns a 360? Everyone owns a PS3 instead, mostly because that's where Monster Hunter is, so naturally they develop for that first.
@4 I could use your logic and say Capcom's games are better.
Blazblue is a great game. Most of the people that are complaining are doing so out of pure biased opinion and are thinking that just because he game is anime based, that its all for weeaboos. Personally I don't like the Persona fighting game because it is boring. Capcom games are great and Arcsys games are great for the most part.
Yea BB is annoying as hell to listen to but i like the gameplay. Cant wait for this one

Great matches from both Persona and BB. Shadow Labrys can be a real forced to be reckoned with in the right hands, seen especially in that first match in the first video. god Yukiko does so poorly against S.lab its almost painful to even think about that matchup D:
BB:CP is looking fantastic, even more so than the previous game. @numerogaijin imo i think the majority of the BB hate comes from people constantly comparing it to GG, which is dumb because thats kinda the point,its NOT GG. And i find it funny how people trash BB for being anime when the same people bashing it play other fighters that also have "anime" aesthetics, its a double standard really.
the hate for this game, or the biase for THESE TYPE of games rather is starting to anoy me. why is it that it is split between the FGC that an "anime fighter " as it is freaquently called is sometimes shot down because of its anime theme.
i understand if it is not your preference that is not what im saying. the fact that most fighting games come from japan and anime themed anything is popular, well for the most part.the fact that most fighting games have had anime renditions if not cartoons like SF or KOF or even tekken. The fact we as the FGC has had these types of games in EVO.....so why is it that it gets discriminated as such. not just BB or P4a but GG or even KOF...i dont even know if thats considered an anime fighter honestly...
what im saying is dont hate it cause of the anime theme.....give it a chance before writing it off -_- i started SF and then branched out so take that for what its worth....how ever i do like anime, just throwing that out there lol
@26 UMvC3 doesn't have combo breakers, meaning that one hit leads to one 100% combo which leads to getting KOed in no time. If UMvC3 would prevent 100% combos in any way, then it would be more manageable.
People complain about buffing and nerfing... I'm still waiting for a combo-breaking mecanic like the Mega Crash, wall-teching/ground-teching/mashable air recovery/rolling and/or ways to scale down the combos, such as increasing knockback the higher the combo, increasing recovery the higher the combo, decrease hit stun, all in addition of damage scaling. You know, SOMETHING that would favor short combos instead long combos that have you literally put down your controller since you can't do anything.
ASW have burst mecanics, which basically means: "Try a 100% combo if you dare." UMvC3 would need that to be more manageable. TvC had it and aside from seeing less hyper combos, Mega Crashes didn't break the game. P4A even uses the bursts in trials, as part of combos, and it doesn't break the game.
I know that people wouldn't want MvC to change, but let,s face it: the system isn't perfect and needs tweaking.
@27: "Try a 100% combo if you dare"? Burst is not a reason go purposely go for a lower damaging combo. That doesn't make sense. If I land a hit, the only reason to not go for max damage is for positioning. Maybe I stop the combo early to bait burst, but there's no real negative when going for a max damage combo. Even if they burst, they only get so many bursts to use in blazblu. Not a big deal.
Also, MvC3 has damage scaling. The longer the combo, the smaller the hitstun and lower the damage.
I personally prefer blazblu, but....just saying.
