Kbrad got in dat booty with Cammy. Infiltration lost to nerfed Yun with one of the top 3 characters in the game, so let's not crown him yet. Also, he's a button listener. If i'm not mistaken, when he lost to Kbrad wasn't the setup further away? If that's the case, he probably couldn't hear the buttons as well? He just waits to listen to your buttons and then he does stuff. I don't consider that reading people.

Yeah, he has basic read power, but it's not otherworldly. Some people are deep in that yomi, and Infiltration isn't one of them. He's analytical. I'll give him that. However, the highest order of player is godlike reactions (that's Valle's 17 year old). Just don't give a fudge (17 year old again). Analytical. and last, yomi on another level. The only way you can get your yomi like that is to play for over two decades. Infiltration doesn't have that right now, and he just started playing SF with SSF4.

So what if K Brad beat him, in the runback Infiltration beat him. K Brad has yet to win a major...and no, those 2 small events he won dont count for sh*t

Infiltration is godlike because he studies his match ups and does his homework. Pretty simple, he does the work, he puts in the time, he gets results.

@14 Korean players prefer head to head setups, thats how it usually is in Korea, and he said that he wasn't comfortable in the bad matchup, and he said that there aren't any Yun players in Korea so....Your rant is invalid :)

Sometimes there are things that go beyond hard work. Nobody's created equal, but giving up before trying your best is not the right path.

And yes, head to head should be standard, period.

Sure we don't have the same ''talent''. Talent mean just doing something more effortlessly, but we're all equal and anyone can achieve great things. Infiltration might have more talent than you at something, but you have more talent in something else. You might have less good genetic for sprinting for someone, but you might be superior genetically for jumping, but if you enjoy more sprinting hard work will give you result.

So some people have to work harder to reach the same result. Although even talented people need to work hard. That when hard worker may surpass talented folk.

At the level they're playing reflex play a big role but... Infiltration may still have those insane reflex that we most have younger but, Has you grow older . You become slower instinctively and gain in other area with experience.

So the fact that infiltration have kept those ''reflex'' and gained that experience make him formidable. Although plenty of player can still kick his ass. Luck imo still play a role at that level.

We're equal in your difference but, not equal or talented equal in everything.

keebler said on January 26, 2013 at 8:33 p.m.

I feel that Infiltration is beatable, bu i think Daigo will continue to struggle against him. Even in the 25th anniversary match when daigo won the first set, he had to pull off some amazing stuff to win. When Infiltration won the latter set, it was almost looking like autopilot.

As far as losing to K-Brad...really, I think K-Brad is a good player no doubt, but he is not near the best Cammy player, and he didn't do much that was special in his SB match. I feel like Infiltration didn't know the match up as well.

Infiltration is an amazing player with fast reactions (listening to buttons hardly helps THAT much lol), and he uses, in my eyes, the most solid character in the game. It is going to take a while for someone to truly topple him for an extended period of time.

Simba_v7 said on January 26, 2013 at 9:10 p.m.

#15 KBrad won Season's Beatings: Ascension. Or are you saying SB isn't a major?

LK said on January 26, 2013 at 9:13 p.m.

Not all "talents" are favored or useful in the current society. And please re-read my statement and read between the lines.

Donald_K_Bahls said on January 26, 2013 at 9:31 p.m.

Most of the top players playing A.E. don't know enough of the match ups in the game. Hugo 101 is proof of this, and Infiltration's loss to Hugo's combo dropping Yun goes to the point I was making about him. How does Hugo not know how to fight Hakan? He beats the EVO champ's Akuma (top 3 character) with nerfed Yun, and he doesn't know how to smash Hakan? That's ridiculous. Infiltration wasn't even using his Hakan to the max. He was using basic setups and Hugo was getting fudged up. Ultradavid is correct when he says it's a match up game, and not a tier game. People are just too dumb to listen. Keep laughing doe.

Oh! and Infiltration doesn't listen to buttons? Daigo had to concoct an entire "silent fireball input" just for shizz and giggles right? fudge outta here.

xxMarshy said on January 26, 2013 at 10:13 p.m.

All you people just replying with 'lol @14 and 17' are irritating the hell out of me, stop acting like stupid little kids and contribute something to the conversation, something to back up your childish 'lol'. In a response of my own to 14, K Brad is no where near as good as any of the top players, he is a fraud that just jumps forward constantly, so don't try to say he is better than Infiltration, he got lucky and Infiltration was able to beat him in a rematch.

chipndip said on January 26, 2013 at 10:35 p.m.

Why are people downplaying Infiltration? When he starts to lose, talk then. Until then, beat him or keep it shut for a bit.

LK said on January 26, 2013 at 10:42 p.m.

I think when Daigo made that comment, he was applying to the general tendency of oversea tournament players to "listen" to button presses. Nowhere did Daigo single out Infiltration as the only one "listening".

Console tactics doesn't happen in Asia when they usually play on arcade head to head cabs.

RagingDemon said on January 26, 2013 at 11:49 p.m.

@32: Your argument holds no water because Infiltration still defeated Daigo, regardless of silent button presses or no silence in button pressing.

I don't get why people seem to disrespect Infiltration so much... If Daigo got 2nd or at least placed top 5 in tournaments most of you guys would be like "DAIGO'S STILL THE BEST!"
When Infiltration loses to K-Brad and Kazunoko, some people just bash him about it constantly.

Simba_v7 said on January 27, 2013 at 12:24 a.m.

llSilkCutll said on January 27, 2013 at 12:49 a.m.

Infiltration is a great player but he will never be a Daigo (not yet anyway). Also he's only won EVO once (AE), Daigo has 2 wins (AE), as well as many other EVO titles. So even ATM he has not accomplished what Daigo has in AE.

ATM Infiltration is the best, more over Infiltration is the best in v2012.

To compare against Daigo is silly really.

Daigo = Legend
Infiltration = Starting The Road Of Many Years To Proving / Being A Legend.

He has one for Vanilla, and one for Super.

Smorgasboard said on January 27, 2013 at 2:31 a.m.

No one in the world has consistently beat Infiltration. You can't say the same for anyone else near his level including Daigo, Kbrad, Kazunoko and Hugo.

He can't cover ALL his weaknesses. No one can. Between my list of the three current top sf players, Daigo, Infiltration and Fuudo, they all have different strengths and weaknesses. Just saying that a person can't be a top player because they have a certain weakness is inaccurate.

Kelshou said on January 27, 2013 at 3:33 a.m.

@29 maybe thats because hes playing an autopilot 50/50 character?

I still think Daigo is the better player, hes just not using a top tier character. Overall i actually still consider sako to be the best player.

gtfopanda said on January 27, 2013 at 5:50 a.m.

@ #46

Lmfao @ autopilot 50/50. Learn to down back and stop mashing things on wakeup, Akuma players tend to hold back on throwing because of the huge recovery, and you can exploit several of his OS.

Also, learn matchup specific tips instead of just whine about those characters *you* can't handle. Infiltration would win with pretty much every character, assuming the matchup is not bad (and that's why he has alts).

IoriaM said on January 27, 2013 at 6:10 a.m.

Somebody don't remember that Infiltration don't play only at STREET AE 2012 like Daigo(and has begin to play street fighter with SFIV I think), he play(and win) also street x tekken and train to Marvel....stop to Underreted Infiltration for now is Just a legend

cjmxxx said on January 27, 2013 at 6:23 a.m.

Every player in the world that plays side by side listens to button inputs. It's not cheating.

edrigo said on January 27, 2013 at 6:32 a.m.

As far as i'm concerned winning a major tourney using bnb hakan combos shows how good you are. He beats deiminion with gouken sometimes and he uses basic stuff too and dei is one of the best guiles in the world. How can people say infiltration aint all that and then go on to mention kbrad/hugo101 and daigo in the same sentence some guys on here like 14 and 17 are not looking very intelligent right now.

ps marn has beaten daigo with dudley yet would you degrade daigos achievements? No, so don't show yourselves up to be haters it's embarrassing

xShonuffx said on January 27, 2013 at 7:40 a.m.

@36 Because people have their favorites and they will stick up for their favorite players no matter how bad they do. Even make excuses for them.

Its a lot like the Cubs where I live. We all know they suck but we hold a candle to them all the time like they are gonna win the next World Series. Most people will never admit how bad the Cubs are because they are a fan favorite.

Donald_K_Bahls said on January 27, 2013 at 8:50 a.m.

Hmm. So, Daigo and everyone else have always known that people listen to and peek at buttons. Everyone has known this since the 90's. The point I'm making is that Daigo has known this and played and won through this in every SF, without making a big deal about it, for years, decades. Infiltration beats him like he did at evo and then it became a problem. It wasn't a problem before, but then we have to hear the whole "new fireball input". Where was that before? People are stupid as fudge if they don't see that he did that to fudge with Infiltration.

I never said button listening was cheating. I said it isn't a skill, specifically, it's not a skill that goes into what I consider a legend. Also, I never said Kbrad was better than Infiltration. I said Kbrad got in dat booty wit Cammy, and he did. Then I chastised Hugo for not knowing the Hakan match up, and Infltration for losing to combo dropping, nerfed Yun. So, It's ok for Infiltration to "not know the Cammy match up" even though he has all his notes, and somehow he manages to not have notes on one of the top three characters in the game? A win is a win. I'm not hating on anybody. People are just acting blind.

V3N0MB1T3 said on January 27, 2013 at 8:52 a.m.

@edrigo I honestly think its because as a Korean infiltration accomplished such an amazing feat as being the first non-Japanese player to win an evo championship where SF(in its latest installment) was the main game of the tournament and a lot of Americans are salty about that because we thought the way things were going it be one of us.

More importantly he did it without having a GDLK scene(SF isn't really that big in Korea compared to Tekken) filled with top players like Japan to practice with on a daily basis nor did he even have a huge scene like America to get lots of varying character experience. Like some said below he analytically broke down his matches with notes and put in the work to learn match-ups, mix-ups, and unblockable setups. Plus as an "e-sport" SF is yet one more game the Koreans are looking to overtake, along with coming up in the MOBA world and already owning the starcraft series free.

So really its salt salt salt for most people. They can't handle a player who breaks the mold and makes all that BS talk about needing to have a local scene to be any good, or needing to be surrounded by the best to be the best. What you really need is dedication, hard work, and a character with enough tools to get the job done.

I probably got no right to say this , since I still love video games too much at my age, but after looking at the title , most athletes/sportsman would probably sneer at the " in his prime " bit of the title ,while most adults who don't play videogames would probably laugh at the " mature " bit of the title...

SteadiestShark said on January 28, 2013 at 10:23 a.m.

Meh, all Daigo needs to do is to pick Yun. (After re-practicing with him of course)

I mean, if Hugo101 can take it to Infiltration, then the ex-best Yun in the world can.
