Beadsprite fighting game artwork by Reroots

Creating Beadsprites, as explained by Beadsprites.com, is the process of using perler beads placed on a board and then ironed to form a colorful design. An artist who goes by the handle of Reroots, has done some really awesome fighting game sprite re-creations and shared them on his DeviantArt page.

Below you'll see images of M. Bison, Yun, Hakan, Hsien-Ko and many other recognizable characters from the fighting games we know so well. After the jump there are a few more images and also a time-lapsed video so you can watch the process of creating a beadsprite.

I remember a girl selling some of these beadsprites at Devastation 2011. I bought the Zero and Rockman one she had.

Do the people who control this site know any of the SNK characters by name? Or is most of their knowledge of SNK derived from CvS2?

Anyways, this is awesome; I especially fancy the Mai, Bison, and Iori pieces.

@12: I have the same feeling here, that all the knowledge that people have of SNK is from CvS 2. The guys don't know anything about SNK's characters and games.

I hope he does more SNK sprites. Somehow those seem to blend in more with those beads. Still pretty awesome.

ST Honda is badass detail! I think These are all pretty old, I've seen them on other bead sprite sites before..
