ReNiC has posted a quick video showing the usefulness of Crossover Counters in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

In the video, he states that he doesn't really know combos for the characters he shows. Someone who knows combos should be able to convert for some pretty high damage in most of the situations shown.

MrFlubbs is back again with another new Thor video today, this showcases some great conversion from various hits including ones at super jump height.

Although most of the crossover counter tech is known for most characters. I think the most interesting thing to take from the video though is that crossover counter could be used after advancing guard so it can give some assists that rely on range the space it needs to be effective, or give leniency to ones that aren't as invincible as others. Props to Renic there :)

@5

Yep, and it's a punishment that can lead into a touch of death.

Here's the link to the video you're thinking of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efTKXn...

Crossover counters are just so finicky to rely on. Your opponent is usually going to have an assist coming out during their block string, and if you CC into their assist, it's game over.

I experimented with the Zero thing for a while and I could never get it to the point where I was comfortable doing it. It was RARELY a guaranteed punish on a blockstring and the timing on the cancel into Sogenmu is much tighter than it looks.

I always thought of doing stuff like this with crossover counters. They should definitely be used a lot more.

Eye opener on Thor. Didn't know he could do so many flashy moves in a combo.
