In late 1993, it was hard to go any where or do anything without seeing something related to home port of Mortal Kombat. Hyped up by a notable TV campaign, the SNES, Genesis and portable versions of the game were released on September 13, 1993, a day dubbed "Mortal Monday."

MK Secrets has been steadily uploading a number of old videos to take you back to the 90s, so you can not only check out the original commercial, but its sequel and some behind the scenes motion capture clips with the original actors.

Hit the jump to see everything.

Oh, God, Tiger Electronics. I remember having the SFII version...it was R.Kelly doo-doo butter. Doubt the MK version was any better.

i remember when i got my copy for SNES and it only had sweat instead of blood, and my neighbor had the sega version with the blood code... i didn't even play mine, just went to his house to see the real fatalities... as a kid, ripping someones head off was the coolest thing ever
