Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released on April 16, 2013 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U systems in North America. It will be on European shelves April 19th of this year.
hmm sounds like they are using John Dimaggio as the Joker. I liked him in Batman: Under the Redhood he did an admirable job as the Joker. Tim Daily as Superman and Kevin Conroy as Batman is godlike.
catalyst also note the game has an official release date of april 19th COME ON GUYS LETS GET THIS IN EVO!!!! dont let me be the only one that donated for it!!!
This game looks as bad as MK9 why play this when marvels out.
oh look lets just copy this awesome cinematic intro
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSSILy...
lololololol
@3
Joker isn't really speculation. Especially when you can see him getting hit by Grundy at 1:03 in the video.
@#11
looks awesome? from what? copying the trailers of UMvC3 from its opening cinematic!
the game still looks like sh!t with the MK9 engine, non-changed, non-improved, its like adding shenanigans ideas from MKvDC to MK9
this game gonna die like MK9, it will only have hype for a short period of time, and sooner or later will loose players interest, just look what happened to MK9... game is dead, community is dead, fan feedback dead, hype is dead, nobody gives a sh!t anymore cuz the game is boring as f*ck!
@12 Hamil is retired.
still on the fence about getting this, MKvsDC was disappointing, hope this isn't full of gimmicky stuff like free fall and close kombat
#12 IIRC,Mark Hamill retired his Joker voice after his work in Arkham City.
Mark Hamill:Master Clown Prince of The Jedi Order.The badass....
I'm more stoked for the voice actors from the cartoons from back in the day, not that I don't like Luthor it's just he was kind of a shoe-in from the begjnning.
Who cares if it looks like MK? SSF4 and SFxT look alike but are different games. This game has different mechanics to MK (the block button being removed changes the game massively for a start)and it should be treated as it's own game.
@23 because that was the biggest gripe people had with MK? Is it so wrong for a company to listen to feedback and try to improve their games?
Is anyone seeing the opness which is Luthor's tandem like move and Spirit Bomb?
@24 You're honestly wasting time trying to explain. No matter what you say, people will always try to nit-pick every single detail to degrade this game. (It isn't even out yet)
Just leave it be and let they say what they want, it makes it easier for those who are actually interested.
On topic : Pause at 1:03 Egyptian stage? Reference to Black Adam maybe?
#24 is right, they have listened to the community feedback and are improving on the game. The MK9 look and design was never a problem....the problem was/is that MK9 animations were stiff and not fluent. If Injustice runs smooth and the stage gimmicks dont become boring, it can become one of the top fighting games like SF4 and UMVC3.
Superman looks like UltraDavid with waxed eyebrows.
Ok so the biggest news so far is that they didn't half ass the VA work and got most of the original voices
Joker Hamill retired but Dimaggio from Under The Red Hood did a great job with the role
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qOdgg...
Hope more character/gameplay eventually comes
One way to test this game's worthiness is to see Joker's gameplay and whether or not he's improved from MKvsDC.
Sometimes I think maybe they should have rendered this game cell shaded, to diverge it from MK?
I sometimes wish I could see how old poeple are on these forums.
Then I can tell if what they said was either immature, or ignorant. Some of the gripes people have with this game is all based on visuals. If this game played like Street Fighter it would'nt be unique.

I believe he has a crowbar in the limited amount of gameplay footage. That alone makes him better
Wow, soooooooooo much hatred for nothing...
First, Mortal Kombat 9 redeemed the ENTIRE series since Midway started to screw it up with the 3D games like Deception and Armaggeddon. It may not have gotten that popular, but a lot of MK fans were pleased by the revamped system. Blame Capcom and Namco for overshadowing MK instead of NetherRealms.
Second, MK vs DCU was trash, absolute trash. It was a utterly disgraceful waste of the use of the DC licenses, mainly due to the fact that the game was T-rated, NOT M-rated, despite, let's say this, the DC comics being dark and violent. So technically, you guys are saying that DC doesn't deserve yet another chance for a fighting game? Wow, way to be open-minded...
Finally, what did you guys expect? Warner Bros owns NetherRealms, and NetherRealms owns Mortal Kombat, so Warner Bros owns Mortal Kombat. Did you really think that WB would try to pitch that idea to another dev when they already have a competent one under their wings? Why asked Capcom or Namco when you have one sitting next to you? So, of course this game looks like MK, because it's from the same dev, and not a bad one either.
NetherRealms finally has another chance to use the DC characters in a fighting game of their own, and it's gonna feel like Mortal Kombat. They already have the MK engine ready to use, so why bother making a new one from scracth when you already have all the tools?
I like MK and have nothing against NetherRealm, but they seriously need a better animator/motion capture for their games. That stiff animation bothers me to no end.
This game will of course sell the only reason is getting hate in this page because a lot of them are die hard capcom fanatics and hate seeing something that could thread there favorite fighting game.

Yes Kevin Conroy is still Batman, they managed to get alot of the original VA
Joker is not Hamil or Dimaggio after a little googling
Richard Epcar is playing the Joker, reprising the role from Mk vs DC
This game looks awesome. Just give me Raven and Starfire. I'd love to eventually see a Marvel vsDC game, but I'd want capcom to do it mvc style.
@illiness
I want Capcom to stay far away from DC comic after playing UMVC3
@jhayze
I agree! How dare they steal a style of trailer that was clearly created by Capcom for UMvC3 and is clearly their own work.
How bloody dare they!?
It's not like Need for Speed ever did that
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70Xtj8...
Not like Blur ever did that
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-vwnP...
Not like Halo ever did that
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXeST0...
...that's just in recent years and from what I can remember quickly.
So ...maybe you should just leave. (Should being the keyword)
@40 I want them to take on the DC universe in a Marvel vs DC game. Regardless of UMVC3 haters, only Capcom can make a timeless VS game. I'd love to see DC characters in the comic book style of UMVC3. 3 on 3 Marvel vs DC would be AMAZING, and would sell tons.
@illness
It will sell tone no matter if is Capcom or Netherealm it seems to me you like UMVC gameplay but to me and some other fighting community don't like it but everybody haves a different taste of style I think if Nethherealm make a DC vs Marvel game they will get in touch with the comics fans and the casual fan better then Capcom.
I'm just going to say it...... marvel vs capcom 3, not a great game. fun? yes, but not great. 1. lets look at both companies (marvel and capcom), they are both known for having a lot of content in their games. this does not have very much content. hero and heralds is pretty much the only thing this game has as for the content not expected in all fighting games. 2, offer to newcomers? trial mode at best. there is no real indications for new comers of mvc (or fighting games in general) on how to play. 3. online? both mk and mvc3 are bad at their connections, but mk has more modes (like king of the hill) and a much more satisfying rank type. plus lets face it their has been plenty of jokes about the player cards on mvc3. 4. Dlc? Lately capcom hasn't been getting a good respond on this so theirs your answer on that and the whole umvc3 coming out in less than a year of mvc3 thing. 5. story? many can say that story in fighting games don't matter but to many it does and mvc3..... hit once, miss 3 times. ending and final boss is okay but thats about it. no real reason to why they fight they just are.... street x tekkan may not have stated off well but its story was at least satisfying. 6. character roster? many were good choices with only one or 2 being bad (rocket raccoon) other then that solid. 7. feedback? well... I cant say they don't hear it, but I can say they don't listen when it counts all the time, Ed Boon tried on many accounts to add what we wanted like dlc characters while still adding things we weren't expecting (challenge tower and Freddy Kruger)and while I cant fairly say they haven't tried, in their own right, I can say it doesn't feel that way to me. When they wont even try to fix the games bugs which many have complained about and ARE serious issues their is room to talk bad about the game. and finally 8. worth the cost? well lets say like many you bought mvc3 vanilla that's $60.00 just in the U.S. then you buy the dlc characters $8.00 I'm not counting DLC costumes as that's really a choice not a real factor to the game itself. now u have too buy umvc3 because no one is gonna play vanilla now. that's $48.00. together that's $116.00. yeah... unless im buying a special edition of the games which comes with a statue and stuff I don't wanna pay that much for 1 game. UMVC3 is still fun but it has way too many flaws for players of it to complain about a game just because of how it looks or plays. My point? Don't start talk about how terrible a game COULD be unless you compare it to your game and all of its many, many flaws.
@45 I like UMVC3's gameplay and I like the art style WAY better than Netherealms artstyle. IMO Capcom did the comic book style of Marvel perfectly in UMVC3.
@46 TLDR
Would be nice to see a larger color pallete for the backgrounds. Instead of concrete jungles. Maybe a poison ivy poisonous tropical stage?
Either way cant wait to get my hands on this game!!
@48
You DO realize that for years until mk9 came, everything that netherrealm released wasn't worth your money, right?
I'm getting this game but tbh I' don't think it will go far competitively. I see this one having a small community and struggling to make it into bigger tournaments. Looks cool, but I have my own issues with it. Course I doubted mk9 before it came out but I enjoyed that a LOT more than I thought I would. I'm giving this one a chance, though I know next to nothing about dc aside from some characters... I'm just hoping for specific ones....
Once you hear Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker, you can never see those characters being voiced by anyone else ever again.
I will laugh all the way in the bank when I see way more content and support for this game than Marvel 3. This is gonna be glorious and all the butthurt of people still talking crap.
This is a huge mk clone to the max, just with different skins. And I have a theory, since back in the day when they had those 'ultra realistic' looking characters, but had a weird choppy flow to it cause of the live action characters, well now they make all their games choppy and awkward looking in tribute :p. Seriously netherrelm, all your characters look like they're riddled with arthritis
@48
People will have their opinions on what they see, and what we see in the gameplay videos is that injustice looks like MK9. the animation aren't fluid they seem just as stiff as the MK series ever was. Based on what we see and what we know we come down to that conclusion. I'm glad they took the block button away. I didn't like MK because of the Block button. Never got used to it and probably never will. That said I'm looking forward to it. I probably would like a demo some sort as I purchased PLaystation all stars and was disappointed that I didn't try it before I bought it.
@ 56
Please don't fall for this guy's troll bait. I would agree that the animations are still a bit stiff but they're much better and more fluid than MK9's.
Tbh it does look that way though, it's how netherrealm does their stuff. I doubt they made a completely new engine, so it will have its similarities. However like they did with mkvsdc and mk9, they'll just redo characters and reskin them in a sense... Like how green lantern is basically ermac and the flash is basically kabal (in mkvsdc and mk9)
